I think the aesthetic of diseased, armored tree men is much more pleasant than the general bloated and festering aesthetic of most nurgle miniatures. Reminds me of something you'd see in the corruption in Terraria, colors and all. Excellent work!
Agreed, I have seen a few diseased tree folk conversions but nothing like this. I hope that we get to see Lord / Character miniatures in this style
Oh now that you mention it, this really is quite reminiscent of the corruption.
Thank you! I've been trying to lean more heavily into some of the different and less commonly depicted aspects of Nurgle and so I'm glad to hear that it's paying off :D
I really hate that everyone (gw included) never really goes to deep on the plant growth aspect of nurgle
Yeah I still love the festering aesthetic but I love pretty much anything nurgle lol
I would love to see a converted Treelord in this style.
great unclean tree
Yeah...
Curse Rotted Greatwood 🤘
While I don't have any plans to include a Treelord in the first 2000pts, I won't be stopping there :D
These look so good. And I remember back when you mentioned in your Plaguekeeper's kitbash, or whatever the Rat Terminator guy was called, how Nurgle isn't just the bloated pestilence that GW typically shows him as. I like these models since they fill more the end of the cycle, the dead things that are being broken down by the fungus to allow for the new growth as opposed to most Nurgle stuff which is the death and decay before this part.
EXACTLY! There is a lot more nuance in the Chaos gods and conversions are a great environment to explore this. The reason I chose to keep the green leaves along side the rotting flesh was to emphasise the balance between growth and decay that exists with Nurgle.
@@PeteTheWargamer These kinds of conversions make me want to convert some Khorne stuff in the look of say a Noble night cause Khorne is also about Honor and Martial prowess. Maybe an army that is just characters to show a warband of highly skilled honorable warriors. Only problem is, I am in college. So I don't have money to spare.
Thank everyone
Very smart use of the tentacles from the Beast of nurgle! Quite inspiring, all this is!
Thank you!
Wow these look amazing! Really inspires me to want to kitbash a Tzeentch corrupted Flesh Eater Court, or Khorne corrupted Fyreslayers, or a Slaanesh corrupted Lumineth Realm Lords army.
Really love how this army is shaping up! I think the trap people fall into sometimes with these kind of chaos affected armies that are not typically aligned with chaos is they go way too hard on the chaos part or not hard enough.
The balance you have I think is perfect!
Chaos can have a lot more nuance than people expect. After all, they not only reflect the more negative aspects of the world but they also embody the positive ones too. Sigvald is a good example of this, while he is corrupted to a degree, he still embodies pride taken in an individuals work.
@@PeteTheWargamer of course! And many of those corrupted by chaos talk about it in very optimistic and positive ways! Spreading the blessing of grandfather nurgle sounds quite innocent on the surface until you find out what it means haha
Ngl they look nice
I'm not even into Warhammer anymore but I can't get enough of your conversion videos. This is hands down my favorite conversion ever.
The just adore the Nurglings hanging on the branches.
bloody sick dude
Thank you!
Dammit man, you're making this GW boycott difficult with these kick ass conversions.
Those guys give off these really cool Hollow Knight vibes. Great conversions!
Thank you!
These videos always motivate me to attempt a kitbash and start painting!
Now I just want to make some Tree nids
So amazing, I get stoked every time I see you post. Your creativity and videos are stunning. Thank you! 😊
Pete, this army will look amazing. Great units and video!
Could you kitbash some bestigors or bloodgors?
Stunning, cant wait for the next one in the series.
Can you make a inquisitorial kill team. I think that this would be a epic kill team, while having a great story. Great job on all those conversions and kitbashes
I love the look of these, much better than the usual "oh no scary zombies" of nurgle. Almost seems like there was a battle and the corpses in or near the trees were resurrected, or chosen by nurgle.
You're giving me an urge to do these myself, but I've never done anything in greenstuff before. Saying that, I love the idea of Nurgled Sylvaneth, and they would go well with my Nurgle daemons and Blight Kings.
Trust me, green stuff is much easier than it seems. More complex stuff is kinda difficult but stuff like this is pretty easy.
Looking forward to the episode!
Amazing job as always Pete! The verdigris bronze has given me some inspiration for the Indomitus necrons that are sat unbuilt in their box and I was never sold on how to paint. Cheers!
It is really hard not to love these. Keep up the good work mate
Again you made a truly incredible video !
Man, these are insanely cool!
Whoa you just cut straight through that green stuff 😯
they look awesome Pete
They look incredible, I was really looking forward to this one and I am not disappointed
I was looking forward to building these guys too, I absolutely love the base Kurnoth Hunters!
@@PeteTheWargamer cant wait to see what you do next mate, props!
Loving the sylvaneth kit bashes, I hope to see more!
Those models are awesome!!!
i can t wait to see your full army finish !
love your job convert' !
These are excellent man great work. 👍
Looks fantastic
I loved the horned hunter so much, might convert one of mine with a moose skull
Fantastic work
Allerial is what I'm really looking forewards to!
I'd love to do this myself... though spending money on all these kits
I am so hyped to see the giant corrupted Wardroth beetle.
Loving this army Pete!
Amazing minis! Thanks for the ideas and inspiration :)
You should make a nurgle mega-gargant!
Great work with this "Blightwood" concept, i'm not so into that colorscheme, but great work anyway!
Man now I really want a Sylvaneth army
I'm reminded that Cities of Sigmar can take Sylvaneth units at a 1 to 4 ratio if they're a Living City force. If you want to expand your Nurgle-corrupted forces further, you could go there.
(No, this isn't _just_ me harping on about Turnip28 again.)
This would be an excellent way of expanding out the range to other non Sylvaneth units!
This is amazing!
I cant wait to see this full army
These look awesome
I look forward to your Primaris Lieutenant Revenant Command squad
Really amazing 🤩
wonderful stuff
truly fearsome minis
Rlly good paint job and conversion
great job dude
AWESOME!
This is awesome
You have to do reaction videos of when you play this army against oeople that doesnt know it ! Would lo e to see your opponents reaction seeing your army !
Beautiful as usual lolz keep it up 👍 I need to figure something to kit bash with dearth guard for my kill team
These guys look fresh outve nurgles garden
❤️Love all these Nurgle Corrupted🤩🤮😍
very very cool
10:19 Is a wicked model
Dude I'd love to see some corrupted stormcasts
frateris militia conversions, the cultist of the imperium of man. it would be intresting to see what you do with the idea and yould be a reference/ continuation to/of your other cultest conversions
Okay ive never bought anything other than space marines and some other imperium (and Magnus) minis buf these Hunters are so fucking gorgeous i love them they are my favorite AOS minis (only behind the dragons)
I love the Putrid Blightking box. It has so many amazing options, it really could just be renamed "Box of Nurgle Bits."
Except GW seems to be moving away from kitbash 😔
I'd love to see some up armoured versions of some Daughters of Khaine units.
Awesome video man! Could you show us how to make a snow base like your vengorian lord's at some point?
I know it might not be possible from a lore point of view but i would love to see you make some Nurgle corrupted orcs
hey you should do a kitbash of making a thunderwarrior like the OG spacemarine, might be a cool vid
Love the armor! Do you think you’ll do any more vampire coast conversions?
Request for Seraphon Ancient Salamander (TW:WH2) + Hunting Salamander Conversions attempt 1
Amazing work bud! Just epic! Where did you get the mushrooms for the base?
love the conversions I just wonder how did you make the mushrooms on the base?
Great conversion! I feel that the melee units could've benefited from nurgle-y swords though
If you are going to add some of the big tree lords I’d think it would be cool (depending on how many your going to add) if you get two of them and combine there torsos together with tentacles and mould like they have both been linked and picked up by some nurgle infection and combined together. Kinda like the makhai from clash of the titans (idk if I spelt the name right)
So incredible! Comment for engagement.
Exited for next time
Excited
Just discovered the channel.....love the channel....I've never seen a kit asked spaceship....is this a possibility
Loving the conversions Mr Pete. Would you use non Warhammer bits? I know there's heaps out there and look amazing. Plague Tide Kill team please sir, you have 1 so might as well do another 4.. Keep it up, had to go back to old vids, a week is too long.. Lol
neat
Great video! A small bit of technical feedback: I found your voice audio to be a little too quite. I typically keep my sound levels at 30/100 on PC and had to turn it up to twice that to hear your narration at what feels like my usual level, but then turned it down again just after the 9 minute mark when the music kicks in for the reveal.
You should do a corrupted vs I corrupted slyvsneth battle report it would be so cool
really nice theme and paintjob
where did u get the fungus from????
Hey would you ever think about kit bashing dark machanicum? I’ve alway kinda imagined them super smooth with necron tech but idk what models would mix well
Putting helmets on them make them kinda... Noble? Even with tentacles and nerglings
I’m not sure if this has been answered elsewhere but what type of hobby knife do you use as I have not seen anyone else use a similar one
Really interesting build and scheme looks awesome.
However, my main problem with kitbashing thought is the need to buy additional models for less overall units.
Reusing parts from the Putrid Blight knights is great. But do you have plan for the rest of the beast of burgle model?
If there's not a dedicated plan from the get go, I'm sure it will end up in a bit box to be used later.
It may also be sold on to other kitbashers who have ideas for it. I've seen a few "lot" style bit box listings on eBay
Oh, I would love to be able to buy an entire 40$ kit just to remove some tentacles.
Awesome conversion, but these tentacles could have easily been Greenstuffed.
So Nurgley.
are you going to add more the the base? they dont stand out as well as they could on black
I'll be adding some leaf litter and foliage at some point, I just haven't found one that I like the look of yet.
This will make for great Ruinstorm Demons for 30k
Love the models, they look beter then the original models imo,and even though having an army like this would be really awsome i'll spare myself the dissapointment and not try this stuff.
I approve of the inclusion of mushrooms in this build 🍄🍄🍄
Do you think you'll record any of your matches?
Do you really have a Jonathan Hart and a Johnathan Hart as patreon supporters? :D That's funny.
Should call them “nurgoth hunters”
Hello, may I ask you something?… can you do a Gabriel Seth conversation pls?
Love this conversion but feel you should have added some more armor bits to make the helmet and shoulder feel less weird
Rad.
Hey Pete! Please do an episode on deathwatch! They seem perfect for kitbash opportunities and I would love some inspiration for how to kitbash the unique marines for each kill team!
