Silk Sonic got a comedy vibe but they took this remake SOOOOO seriously. The arrangement, strings, horns, etc. on this song are unique but showed so much respect to the Con Funk Shun original. Respect is due.

I grew up in DC in the 70's. I was so spoiled, thinking that music would always be that good - not just R&B but all genres. Thank God for CZcams 'cause the radio at the gym never plays stuff this good - only autotune and crickets and lame rehashed lyrics passing itself off as 'rap' from the 21st century, or overplayed oldies that don't go further than top 10 hits. I am so glad Silk Sonic are making music that is both fresh and reverential of the classics. Thank you - I love your work. Brilliant collaboration by true professionals.
