Some say yes, it’s an egg splitting thing, some say it’s a mutation after the fact only when the egg begins as a male egg. Some even say it’s not that rare. Many of my twin mom groups have been getting their ‘fraternal’ b/g twins tested after the fact and find they’re actually 99.9% identical according to the geneticist. 🤷🏻♀️
