Thank you soooooo much for this video!!! I will be having my first Candle class next week and I’m so excited!! Thank you again and good luck with your channel and business ❤❤❤
That's so exciting!! Good luck! Thanks for watching :)
New viewer here! Thank you so much for shedding some light on how to run these classes! I started by business in 2021 and have always wondered what hosting a class would look like. This was super helpful!
Love it, such a cool idea
Great video! And very helpful, I am thinking about hosting my own candle making workshop and was curious about the wax pouring. I love the idea that you just pour the wax for everyone yourself to decrease liabilities.
My friend just brought this idea to me over the weekend and all of your ideas are so great! Thank you so much for this!!
So glad I could help!
Really enjoyed ur video!!! Very informative!
Great info
I loved this video! It was amazing! We’re looking to start this clases soon and makes me nervous but you just have me a boost or confidence!
So glad it was helpful! Good luck with your classes!!
Thanks for the video. I’ve been asked to host some classes, brainstorming ideas on how!
Awesome! Good luck!
This video is extremely helpful, have my 1st party scheduled for February.
So glad it helped! Good luck 😊
@@hellobushyl Thank you 😊
Hi I want to organize a candle making party for Mother’s Day. May I ask what kind of wax do you use that will cool in an hour?
Thank you so much for this very helpful video. I have been making candles since 2020 and my friend keeps telling me to start hosting these parties. I just don't feel i know enough. I am very nervous
This is so helpful, but how are you getting the wax to dry so quickly so that its easy to take home right after?
Hiii Steph! New subscriber and love your videos! We have been exploring and have been asked about classes too! Need more space so it will more than likely be in the future! Lol. If you don’t mind me asking what are you BBC barging per person for your class?! Thank you!☺️
Thanks for watching! I’m not sure I understand the question - do you mean what am I charging per person? Right now I do $40 per person 😊
Hey Steph! Thanks so much for this info. Super helpful. How do you go about them mixing fragrances that haven’t been tested together? Do you just stick to your baseline wick size for all the candles they make? Thanks again!
Correct! I’ve done enough testing to see that the standard wick I use will burn well with whatever combo they end up using. Great question!
how do you make labels on the spot? what do you use to print and create labels?
Great video! Where did you get the metal pitchers from to give to the attendees? I’m hosting a candle making class for Mother’s Day!
Amazon! I think it was this one (and they don’t take them home - I clean them and reuse them for each class): 2PCS Candle Wax Making Pitcher, Measuring Cups Stainless Steel with a Spoon, Double Boiler Wax Candle Melting Pouring Pot, Milk Frothing Pitcher Cappuccino Cup 20oz, Dripless Pouring Spout a.co/d/b8j8Xd4
Love this! Can i ask what wax you use?
I use 464 soy wax!
Would love to have a copy of the sheet you give out
Very helpful video. However, fragrance oil should be poured at 185 degrees in soy wax. If they’re not melting their own wax, it’s going to be much cooler than 185 degrees by the time everyone gets their melted wax to begin mixing their fragrance oils. Fragrance may not bind in wax properly. This is the part I need to think through.
How do you control the temperature of the wax?
This is such a helpful video! I'm hosting my first candle class at the end of this month. Can you please share where you got the bottles you placed the fragrance in? Thanks so much!
I’m pretty sure they’re from ULINE!
@@hellobushyl thanks so much for responding! I appreciate it ❤️ you used the 4 oz bottles?
This is super helpful, thank you! I would love to host one and wasn't sure how to start. Appreciate you!
Glad it was helpful!
Thank you for sharing!! Do you have a reference you can share for using drops? It sounds like a cleaner method but I just don’t know how to measure how many drops based on the FO percentage. Thank you!
Great question! Yes, the mini beakers that they are mixing the fragrance oils in has lines on the side and I just show them which line they need to fill to for the right percentage for the candle :) Hope that helps!
@@hellobushyl yes it does! Thank you so much!! 🫶🏽
Thanks so much for your video--I wanted to ask about paperwork (not seeking legal advice) but where did you get the information needed for any forms participants should complete prior to for legal purposes -was this something you researched yourself and could do on your own or any recommendations?
Great question about paperwork - I would recommend asking a lawyer because you never know state-by-state what sort of stuff is required.
Hi Steph! I want to start hosting candle making classes and i just started making some of my own to get a feel of how to do it and I’d love to get to know more! How many ounces are your tins for each person? What’s the ratio of wax to fragrance that you have each person use?
My tins are 6 oz each, I do 10% fragrance oil but I think you could easily drop down to 8% and still be good.
Same question I had lol thank you for answering!
What cities are these classes held in? thanks.
Try not to overthink it,,,people who sign up for these classes will get to know each other.
What size individual pouring pitchers did you use for the class?
I think they’re 32 oz. I got them on Amazon and I love the size!
What wax melter do u use when hosting classes?
Great question! I use a presto pot - I think smaller is better so that you’re not waiting super long for the wax to melt like I would be if I used my big melter.
Is there any worry about sink holes fixing or heat gunning the tops to make them look better?
I haven’t found it to be an issue - I do smaller tins for this reason and so far no one has given the feedback that they have trouble.
Thanks very much for the advice I’ve been making candles for some time now I am going to be hosting my first candle making workshop for Mother’s Day hopefully it’s goes well ❤❤
