This battle was so intense. Had a really unique energy. This showed what Danny is capable of when he’s got all his energy and focus on a big opponent. I’m not hating on his volume of battles, I love his work and the more Danny battles the better for his fans. But I do feel like, when I see what he’s capable of here, or against Pat, at his absolute peak; that he truly is one of the best of all time.
Sidenote: a lot of people think it was a bad look for Danny to stay so close to Diz. I view it as vet move. Diz used his size, performance, erratic movements, etc… to bully his opponents. Danny nullified that. That’s a goat move, you gotta nullify your opps strengths.
I have Danny winning this, but I can’t argue too too much with people who give it to Diz. The only thing I’ll argue with is anyone who calls this a “body” or a “thirty.” This was a classic.
I wanna see more of THIS version of Danny. You’re right about their energy; to me Danny FELT like the Bar God in this one right here.

The first time I watched this battle, I stopped in the middle of Danny's 1st round because he wouldn't stop yelling after every few bars but revisited just now and glad that I did. Dope battle, great back and forth. Both battlers came with it

I loved the energy in this battle. All the rounds were thoroughly entertaining and enjoyable. Usually, you enjoy listening to your favorite battler more, but here, as much as I am a fan of Dizaster, I loved Danny's rounds. Other rappers have come up with great bars against Diz, but I loved Danny's style more than theirs. And of course, Dizaster, as usual, was legendary. One of the new cats that have come up is Real Sikh. That boy has mad talent and charisma as well. This was four years ago, but I keep coming back to this battle. This is one of the testimonies to how great of a show it is when two legends bring their A-game and their energies match.
Shots Fired made this battle happen, big things coming from that San Diego league!
