Megan definitely survived. The screaming is the KILLERS, not hers. lemme explain. Near the end of ending A, Megan is most likely hallucinating the child due to the trauma she suffered. The child is also probably Christine. The child that the killer abducted and Megan read about it. That is the only thing that makes sense in this situation. Megan most likely got back to the car and found Jeff dead. Due to Megan's experience she most likely thought the killer killed Jeff so she ran. If my theory is correct and Megan did stay long enough, she could have heard the killer moaning as he killed himself. Also in another one of Puppet Combos games Night Shift, It says Megan is taken to a hospital which means she did infact survive, as for the news report, it most likely happened before Megan was found, (1-24 hours before) What I think what happened to Megan was. After megan escapes the factory she runs and finds Jeff dead in the car, she then proceeds to run pretty far away and then hides till she was eventually found. The Driller killer then threw a fit similar to the texas chainsaw massacre and after a while Megan finally recovered and told everyone her side of the story etc the police either find and arrest the driller killer or find his dead body Edit: the events of this game most likely came after Night Shift.
I disagree with you about the screams/moans in Ending A being Megan's. If you listen closely and compare the screams to how the killer sounds when he "talks" in Ending B, the sounds are identical. The voice sounds too deep to be Megan's. Megan's voice is much higher pitched. It is the killer moaning and "throwing a tantrum" (as he has the mind of a 3-year old) because Megan was the only victim that ever escaped from him. (it's similar to how Leatherface reacted at the end of the original Texas Chainsaw Massacre in which this game is heavily influenced by) And it's very possible the killer went back to his lair and used the power drill on HIMSELF to end his own life for his failure. The screams do indeed sound like someone in massive amounts of pain. And I'm surprised you didn't mention the multiple satanic Baphomet goat symbols that's in the game too. The killer was a Satanist as well. He also kidnapped children from their parents so he could "have someone to play with." The factory was VERY haunted. It contained the ghosts of the killer's dead victims. That's why you can see multiple people running around the factory, and why you can hear screams in the distance too. It was also haunted by the owner I think, which is why you can hear a voice say "I hate you" in the distance. It could be him saying that when he abused the children. This game has a WHOLE lot of mysteries left unsolved! But, it is at least made pretty clear that Megan did in fact escape from the killer and survived when you beat the arcade version of Power Drill Massacre. However, after everything she experienced, Megan is taken to a psychiatric hospital if I remember correctly. Whew!
I feel like the ending is definitely a shout-out to TCM. The dev has even stated on reddit that The Texas Chain Saw Massacre(1974) is his favorite movie of all time

1:55 in another Puppet Combo's game - Night Watch - you play as a night guard in a forest where you eventually get a call from two campers saying they hear strange noises. When you go to investigate them you find that abandomned shed (which means that these two games take place in the same forest) and then a little further you find 3 empty tents. You then get knocked out and you end up in the serial killer's basement - the one you see in this game. You then get killed with a, guess what, a power drill.
The other thing that's so weird is how his room is the only one basically within the walls of the underground orphanage. Everything is is walled up or flooded. Would've been interesting to see some rooms from the orphanage other than the killers.

Considering the killer has the mind of a 3 year old child it's extremely unlikely that he was the one to collect these newspaper articles about the disappearances of his previous victims. I doubt he'd have the mental capability of doing so, I'd be surprised if he could even read.

The articles explain that the building used to be an orphanage until a company bought it to be a saw mill. The article never went to extentive detail about how they got their workers, but I can only assume the killer was one of the orphans who ended up working with the company. He ended up killing some of the other workers which is why the company shut down the place and deemed it condemned. Now only the killer remains. At the bad ending, the victim is caged and confused. The killer approaches with his first intentions being to try and communicate. We can assume he hasn't talked to many people before. All the victim does is cry and plead for help. Frustrated with her, he goes to turn on his music box to calm him down and proceeds to kill her. I ask you this. What was the killer trying to do first? Why would his first intentions be to try to communicate unless he wants someone to help him or maybe he wanted a friend. He could also view adults like animals since he was abused by them growing up so he'd lock them up so they can't attack him. You can tell the killer was one of the orphans because of all the toys and child like merchandise. The victim also says, "Whoever lives here has a mind of a child". I think it would have made more sense that in ending A, Megan did escape and the sound we hear is the killer throwing a tantrum. However the news reporter says they never found her is because she escaped into the Forest. The killer throws tantrums each day he doesn’t find her. So Megan could possibly be lost somewhere in the nearby forest.
One thing i thought of. The power drill, Babysitter Bloodbath, which used to be a Michael Myers/Halloween game, was the game before this and the moans and screams from the killer. This game is inspired by Texas Chainsaw Massacre. Leatherface would scream randomly

I know it's just a game but I can't put myself to believe that a full grown man with the mentality of a 3 year old is able to think tactically and masterfully plan that much murder. It's just impossible. If he has a mind of a 3 year old then how is he able to know how to handle machinery and kill so many people and create traps ? Yes, you can give 3 year old toddlers PTSD by scaring them to death or by doing other sick stuff to them but no 3 year old toddler, again toddler, is gonna be able to handle, again, machinery, a power drill, create impossible to escape plans and commit mass murder. It's just not realistic. Again, I know it's just a game so suspension of disbelief is at play here. Which means, if we were to make it realistic, then the killer would do the opposite. He would not kill but run away from the murders. A 3 year old would literally start crying or run away if they saw something so abhorrent and horrifying in front of them. And if the killer really has a mind of a 3 year old then he would do the opposite. Yes, kids do kill and me denying that would make me stupid, but kids over 3 to 6 kill, not a literal 3 year old.

no thats not true, she escapes into the forest, badly wounded and after a while she recovers on her own, she is then found after some time and gets proper treatment. just because you are badly wounded doesn't mean you are dying (it could in some contexts be used that way). if one of our ooga-booga cavemen got hurt badly, sure there was really basic stuff but 99% of it was left up to the body. a good chunk of the time when people get hurt and go to the hospital its not because they NEED it, but its to quicken the recovery by a massive amount and to make sure things go right. all in all i could see your point, and i probably explained it in a way that might have come off as rude but if it was i didn't intend for it to be that way. TL;DR: she survives with injuries but gets lost, after a bit of natural bodily healing later and she gets found after a while then gets proper treatment

Jokes besides.. I think it's a halusination like the girl that runs ocasionally throughout the factory and also at the end of the good ending. When playing through the game you can hear a lot of weird voices etc. Also the "good" ending looked like a halusination in my opinion. Megan got a headache as she says in the begining. There is a good chance her brain got a little bit damaged.
A lot old photos look kinda the same. That's why your brain thinks that it saw a photo that looks like it which could make you believe that you saw the photo already. You probably just saw a photo that really looked close to it.

I do like how in the ending B this how night watch ends wit the killer having him stripped and then kills him.
I know it's just a game but I can't put myself to believe that a full grown man with the mentality of a 3 year old is able to think tactically and masterfully plan that much murder. It's just impossible. If he has a mind of a 3 year old then how is he able to know how to handle machinery and kill so many people and create traps ? Yes, you can give 3 year old toddlers PTSD by scaring them to death or by doing other sick stuff to them but no 3 year old toddler, again toddler, is gonna be able to handle, again, machinery, a power drill, create impossible to escape plans and commit mass murder. It's just not realistic.
Again, I know it's just a game so suspension of disbelief is at play here. Which means, if we were to make it realistic, then the killer would do the opposite. He would not kill but run away from the murders. A 3 year old would literally start crying or run away if they saw something so abhorrent and horrifying in front of them. And if the killer really has a mind of a 3 year old then he would do the opposite. Yes, kids do kill and me denying that would make me stupid, but kids over 3 to 6 kill, not a literal 3 year old.

Ending A is probably Megan escapes the killer, gets outside the factory.... And then bleeds out from the injury he gave her after the adrenaline stops. He's probably screaming and raging because she out ran him.
no thats not true, she escapes into the forest, badly wounded and after a while she recovers on her own, she is then found after some time and gets proper treatment. just because you are badly wounded doesn't mean you are dying (it could in some contexts be used that way). if one of our ooga-booga cavemen got hurt badly, sure there was really basic stuff but 99% of it was left up to the body. a good chunk of the time when people get hurt and go to the hospital its not because they NEED it, but its to quicken the recovery by a massive amount and to make sure things go right.
all in all i could see your point, and i probably explained it in a way that might have come off as rude but if it was i didn't intend for it to be that way.
TL;DR: she survives with injuries but gets lost, after a bit of natural bodily healing later and she gets found after a while then gets proper treatment

Correct me if I'm wrong but when you get near the building a man with blue jeans and white sweatshirt disappears I think he helps the power drill killer to murder megan by locking her in the building I dont know if that man is an anomaly of the killer but younger (when he started to kill) or maybe another student or worker helping the maniac out comment if you know who that is.

Jokes besides.. I think it's a halusination like the girl that runs ocasionally throughout the factory and also at the end of the good ending. When playing through the game you can hear a lot of weird voices etc. Also the "good" ending looked like a halusination in my opinion. Megan got a headache as she says in the begining. There is a good chance her brain got a little bit damaged.
