For anyone wondering Alex Woodward was the runner who infamously got in the way of Stephenson in the 2018 grand final giving Yeo an easy intercept and then going on to kick the goal. Horrific bad luck for the bloke

Was a shit kick to Stephenson and probably wouldn’t of Marked it anyway

@@brandonbarker7867 Yeah that does not surprise me dude, players are lucky to get listed into AFL with 1 ACL let alone 5. They almost said no to Mathew Llloyds recruitment to Essendon because of some ligament damage he got in his ankle after stacking a push bike when he was a kid. They coming down hard on pre existing injuries nowadays its great.

That poor guy. I've done 1 acl and it really sucked but to do 5 is nothing less than torture. Words can not comfort this guy.

Same here, torn ACL left knee playing basketball at age 39. I felt a pop when landing from a layup (changing direction inwards as I landed) and I tried to play on but the knee had lost stability, it was very innocuous, non contact. That was my last game. The knee is doing fine in day to day life, I did not suffer from any serious pain or swelling. But if I really push it, it starts to feel uncomfortable.

When he actually played a full season, he won the Liston medal for the best and fairest in the VFL in 2014. Though he would have to be one of the most unlucky players to ever play Australian rules.
