Havent played this game in atleast 15 years and am just completely shocked you could fuse together magic/trap cards.. Learning something new every day.
Fun fact if for some god forsaken reason you haven't found it yet, pressing X or square, then square on the enemy card you want to attack sends you into an animation scene.

i always done this when i was playing this game and sometimes it's just crash idk why (for me)
I think 'animation' is a kind word for what we got 😂 granted it was good for its time but mannn games have come a long way
Randomly select cards n hope to make strong monster as last resort. 1,2,3,4,5. 1+2= dud, 2+3=dud, 3+4 = OMG! Twin Headed Thunder Dragon I have a chance!!! ...... + 5 = knocks away Dragon = dud..... ... ... ... 😢😢😫😩
Then you can’t remember what monsters made him. Back in those days a lot of people didn’t have internet. N there was no sites to tell you.

The Joker back in the day when my brother played this game what he would used to do was battle against weak opponents in randoms and see which cards would fuse together, he would then write down his findings on a sheet of paper to help him remember. It took a long time but eventually he got the most important ones
I remember as a kid fighting duel master k with a fucking notebook so I could write down all the combos he did 😂
No problem. That's honestly one of the main reasons I adore this game, you never really know just how many fusions they're really are. XD I really~ wish they'd go back to this style in future Yu-Gi-Oh! games. It'd be amazing to see what cool fusions could be made with the current Yu-Gi-Oh! format. This, Duelists of the Roses, and Sacred Cards are probably the "best" Yu-Gi-Oh! adventure games ever made.

I played for years without realising another zombie/dragon added to Skelgon would make Curse of Dragon.
My friend once found in desperate 😂
He fought Jono 2nd with Red Eyes B dragon and his stronger card was Gaia the fierce knight
He fused every cards with gaia as last card and he made metal dragon then curse of dragon then Gaia the dragon champion. both of us was stunned back then, never expected that before 😂

Metal Dragon, Stone D and Twin-Headed Thunder Dragon were the main staples of basically everyone who played this game (along with fusing the wrong magic cards and getting a garbage trap or terrible ritual card). Although Metal Dragon was usually a surprise to me

In fact, there are more fusions and not to mention the variations of them as well. This game was an all time classic.

actually, if you have watched the season 1 of yugioh, there's no rule to play. you can summon level 5 monsters or higher with no tribute
never knew about fusions spells and traps for this game....neat.

Missed one of the key ones Mirror + Fiend or Time Wizard + Embryonic Beast = Summoned Skull. This pointed out a few unusual ones for me tho! Like didn't know Spike Seadra + Spellcaster was Kaminari Attack

You can fuse embryonic beast and time wizard to make summoned skull. Didn’t learn that till after I restarted playing the game on ps3 tho and looked the shit up. I spent many days as a little one getting s-tecs on Pegasus trying to get mega morph and beating the meadow mage to get MBD/BEWD/REBD/every good card. Honestly though the least mentioned bombass card in this game was skull knight. In all of the later games ur on a dark field the whole time so he gets a boost and also he has so many cards to that power him up. I used him just as much as I used MBD tbh. He kills a blue eyes in his base form because he’s Mercury. Mf was OP

Played this game for years and just found out you could fuse magic and trap cards
The problem i am pointing out is the beast machine fusion, if you use like a machine with 1000 or less attack and a beast with 1000 or less attack, you get Giga-Tech Wolf.

Shadow Spell+Dark Peircing Light makes Swords of Revealing Light which is only obtained by the password. It costs 999,999 starchips and can't be won in a duel.

Twin Headed Thunder Dragon and Mystical Sand were the only ones I remember as a kid. All the work... for nothing when you get to the opponents who have the likes of Blue Eyes/Red Eyes, Summoned Skull, (you get the idea) as one card already....
