I did some electrical work a few years ago on a disused army camp in Wiltshire and there’s a huge compound with 200-300 old army vehicles from bedfords, old diggers, a line of about 40 old ferret armoured trucks, even a large container of about 40+ Armstrong motorcycles, according to the bloke who let us in to work most of them have been there since the late 70s early 80s slowly rotting away. It’s criminal just in scrap alone it must be worth a small fortune. The ferrets alone fetch £20000-£40000 each depending on condition, the container of bikes was never even unpacked from the factory and have zero mileage, criminal is the only word that springs to mind.
Range targets ?
Where abouts was the camp?
England has been dismantled by British rules and company regs...England is the only country in Europe without representation of gov...The English have a constitution ,British do not
Hi! Where was that?
Cool stuff...
Seeing these old Bedford mks brings back memories of my dad when he worked with the mod as a vehicle examiner
Slightly amazed that a scrap metal dealer hasn't made off with some of the stuff at this yard.
I used to drive DROPS wagons and 4 tonners in the forces. The DROPS wagon that you see parked up has an auto box on them, and the multilift equipments so easy to operate. The 4 tonners that are parked up, is criminal seeing the old girls just sat there.
Totally agree these trucks were fun to drive!
I would buy one of them if I could, even while in the Armed Forces some of us would go to Measham surplus sales ,I bought what I thought was a lightweight land snatch that was on a trailer turned out it was the truck with 2 landys on the bed of it the trailer and the landing on it I think it was 80 or 81 ,I paid £500 for the lot
Great video mate. Thank you. Stay safe 😎😷👍
Cool old military trucks, be great to hear them run.
Hey mate new friend here this place is amazing love all the old army trucks.
Great video!!
I love Bedford lorrys.
I had a pair of tk trucks, good reliable machines.
I loved driving those old Bedfords! Underpowered but fun off road!
What did they have under the hood?
I have lived in Dunstable for 52 years i remember seeing these leaving from Bedfords and AWD brings back memories.
Really cool find fair play give one a quick wash I’ll drive it home🙈
Would love that saw out of the work shop....great find.. thank you
Ey up duck...I can't believe you got in here! Keep it up
Brilliant video thank you
hook loader lorry looks like it needs a new home lol good video
Used to go into there, picking MK parts for trucks in the opencast in Co Durham owner was a sound bloke.
This is crazy how it's all just been left abandoned. I wonder what happened? I like how one of the falk lift trucks was militery green too
Budget cuts I imagine.ebay probably didn't exist when it was shut down.War is wasteful even in peacetime.
Cool place nice motors
wow.. shame there all just sat there,, i spotted a nice stone wear jug in the corner too lol.. nice.
What a cool place.
Great trucks the 4 toner was fun sitting in the back driver had to play the brakes for a mile or two get them wormed up till then anyone sat at the tail gate would suddenly be at cab end if the driver braked to hard
Wow look at those Bedfords !
This place has not been abandoned at all, the owner also as a site on the Meadow Lane industrial estate, all the vehicles have now been moved down there.
*A OLD **#IDIOT** ... WHO JUST "DESTROY" EVERYTHING !! DONT NEED A **#SHIT** .. TAKE IT **#ALL** ..*
My spine has never been the same since being a tailgate Romeo on those old Bedfords
Used some of these great Bedford TKs in the Somaliland scouts in 1950-1957
It looks, s as if all those trucks are just asking to be taken away and loved by some kind person, keep safe and well in these crazy covid times es.
if it's in Derbyshire it will have something to do with the Ripley army store been a few times in the past the one with the Canberra bomber in the car park I know they have another place were trucks and land rovers are stored sold whole are stripped for spares, so there's a big chance this is one of there place's
Ey up me duck, cool place 👍
Thanks
That site is for sale, it's been for sale for awhile now. Access is limited but I would expect it to be sold for housing development. If it is I can see all of the vehicles going for scrap.
All the vehicles have now been moved to Lawrences other yard on the Meadow Lane industrial site, this site is not and as not ever been abandoned.
That scammel is just inch ing to⭐️😮🧏
Thanks for the Video about the Bedford's does anyone know where they are located as i am looking for one Thanks
It's not abandoned, the owner is nearby at his new unit, the owner might not be happy you digging around.
I'd say the condition on some of the vehicles they probably haven't been there that long... amazing find though.
Treasure trove!!!
Love to go there
Prachtig!!!!!
Interesting vid , though at the price of the 8x6 Daf Drops would have been i doubt that its its abandoned 😊
Doesn’t look abandoned to me! No-one would leave all that kit like that
Belize still uses these as cane trucks.
Passed this yard earlier this year
that wagon at the end is a giveaway. got a rough idea where this is
I used to love the old Bedford TK
not tks
They are too big for CF's ,
@@delzek1 MK, basically a 4x4 TK, replaced the RL
Thanks for that , EngineEngineer . Still great wagons !
Where In Derbyshire is this it is amazing to think it just looks like a normal house from the front. Stay safe
It is at Mansfield Road in Alfreton.
Can't believe they just left everything. More so the trucks.
Good evening I need parts for my Bedford Model MJ! Front and Back axles and other parts
Now that is a crying shame why are those MKs just sitting there they have hundreds of miles to still go, even the RLs, where ever they are, a terrible sight for an old RCT driver, you made an old veteran cry.
Just viewing this video now are any of these Army Trucks old commer lorry, cummins diesel engines, splitter gear box, will climb any hill compare to modern lorry, low gear ratio,
Not all of them are old that 4×4 Bedford truck is quite new
Its not abandond just a storage yard for army surplus store
If this is accessible to the public I would love to know where this is exactly so I could go look around myself.
Whats the difference between Trespassing and exploring ? Answer...This is Trespassing! Do these guys have permission to be on this property ? I gonna bet they do not....
I bet I could find a good winch
I wouldn't mind the s26

That's what I mean mate don't want everybody in the world adding you if you drop your username in the comment section
Search in Facebook exploring abandoned places in the UK and you can find me on there
Those Ex army bedford 4x4 trucks are extremly reliable and expensive trucks.. trust me they are not abandoned because no one is on site... the excavator will cost an arm and leg in todays market
There's nothing like jumping out the back of a four tonner
Personally, that dosent look abandoned at all, to me I think you’ve just wondered into someone’s yard and had a look round 😂
Microphone on your device is all over the place, you need a better device to record on
Here mate, uf you get proper address to me I'll do a bot of ground work and see if i could get a few of them old girls back up running. The old TKs were fantastic off road..if you get an address message me back please..cheers Ginney

By the way the wind is blowing, t has to be Lincolnshire.
The person may have died that owned them
Lmao, never been abandoned, the owner was just down the way, he's moved all vehicles after watching this video 🤣
This yard isn't abandoned...
It’s nothing to do with military just old wagons
It's called trespassing...that place not abandoned.
😂😂😂😂
@@derbyshireexplorers8527 what's funny?
When you don't have to earn the money it's easy to waste it.
Tell Pakistani truck company about them and they will be back on the road again
Expect a visit from the MPs (Military Police) and to be tried at a militaty court for trespassing and illegal broadcast of military equipment .
dont be so stupid colin..
@@gvmllr so you the big soldier boy , where did you serve ? A meal to your pet ?
@@colinhoward74 what you going on about...have i hit a nerve colin.
They are no longer in service so the military police will not not be interested and unless there are red signposts
Saying Mod property restricted area keep out then it will be a civil matter
The owners not far away..they are NOT abandoned. I suggest you stop trespassing before you end up with your ass handed to you.
TRESPASS thats what your doing ,pack it up and bugger off home , mind the dog on the way out.
Just waste tax payers hard earned we should be able to have one of them tk's
