I talked to this guy up in Illinois. He couldn't believe anyone outside of the Bayou would eat them some Cajun Crawfish. From Alabama to Kentucky people would JUMP at the chance to go to a boil. It's not just the good food. It's the vibes with cool people. But mostly the food.

I'll tell you what...Boy do they STARE in disbelief and maybe in disgust when they see us Texans go hard on some Crawfish 😂 kinda makes one feel weird, but I wouldn't change a thing. I live in the northeast, and I never even knew crayfish were edible up until I found this channel. I was under the impression that all freshwater crustaceans in this area were inedible. Once I found the channel, I had to try them, and it turns out there's Cajun seafood joints even out here in western Massachusetts. They're pretty good, I've had them a bunch of times since then. The best thing is that they're cheap as hell, so you get a mountain of them for the price of like one small lobster.
They're edible as hell. They just get meaner and smaller in the north.
Just set a few traps up near a river. You just need some worms and a hook. They will latch on to the worm and just put them in a bucket. Make sure they are ALIVE and PURGED before boiling.
I live in California you better be careful eating fresh water cray they have a shit ton of parasites
