9:26 All those are farm maps, both with DT and without it,the thing is farm maps are very few compared to STD, but they come from 4* to 8*, which is why you will always see everyone who is 4 digit to 5 digit having the same ones (trumph and regret, light it up, galaxy collapse, blue zenith, exit this earth's atomosphere and C18H27NO3) still that doesn't mean that they're good at the game, this person is really good, but that's the thing about farming on 4k
It's almost impossible to have different top plays to these, from 5* onwards there are very few ranked maps (there are about 20 ranked 6* maps total in 4 key). Source: am a farmer at rank 7k in mania
I wish ED would have looked deeper into osu!mania and look at professional gameplay on 7* maps
@@Kestrel342 uh no, light it up being the only 4* can be DTd for 6*, triumph and regret, exit this earths atmosphere and C18H27NO3 DTd for 7* (which they aren't completely since farm maps, so they're like 6.8* or more) and galaxy collapse and blue zenith normally being 6*, even the guy there has those lol (except C18H27NO3)

BTMC, explore the mania community. You will know how insane they are. Btw, rank 1 mania ( Jakads ) has his top play near 1500pp and somehow fc an unranked 20*

9:26 3 important things to say as a mania player:
1.- it's pretty common to see two different players in the same range with those top plays. That's because the amount of pp farm maps it's Very low in 4 keys compared to std, and these are the best. I think most of mania player Have something against farming because it's not that easy to farm (only Triumph and regret is tho).
2.- If I'm not wrong, the pp system in mania is mostly based on accuracy and the combo actually doesn't do that much. And that's the catch: If you Dt pass a map with lower accuracy than a nomod play, you probably won't snipe it (it will give you the pp if you beat it, but won't register on you profile, that's why you can find +HT scores in some profiles). The only thing that harder difficulty mods do is multiply the pp, not the score given

Yeah im a mania player, and I can say that all the stuff you said is pretty much true, also yes the score in mania is capped lol.
It's not hard to farm in mania because you don't have to worry about missing
Plus, if it's a farm map, anyone can farm it. It's not like standard where you specialize skills like speed or jumps
@@dirt8718 If we're talking about 4 star maps 100-200pp plays you're Right. But when I wrote that I was thinking on C18H27NO3. It's farmable but the LN parts on that map can be frustrating for some people. Also, I meant by "Hard" not the difficulty itself, but the amount of farm maps they are out there. It's very difficult to find a farm map that is not very well-known in the community (They are some, but comparing to STD is just Minimum)
@@justcarlos.1331 Well I have like 30-40 farm maps in my top 100 and they are all in the 5.00* to 7.00* range. And I've collected a few more dt maps to farm in the future. It's easy to find, I just skim through profiles around my rank range
The best thing about farming in mania is how you can just revisit the map in 2-3 months later to improve acc, and like I said no need to worry about misses
In terms of skill for these farm maps it's mostly speed and stamina with the occasional jacks. The only major ln farm map I can think of is blue zenith
@@dirt8718 That's actually true, you can just choke and S, even 95%, then later fixing acc just blows up the score.
I think the difference between you and I it's that you are on a level way higher than me , so you are not that much limited by your skill. It just depends on the person I guess

True, i had my own share of 100pp collections that got nerfed, so i stopped farming and got addicted to stream maps.

it may be farm but if you look at any profile in the 4 - 5 digit range i can guarantee that their top plays match 99% of the time

i'm a mania player who's been playing on taiko recently, but i mainly play on lazer so my profile doesn't really mean anything
also most of my top plays are 0pp plays, because... lazer i guess, honestly idc about pp, i prefer just challenging myself to beat hard 6-7* maps than getting high scores, hence most of my actual pp scores being on loved maps
