I'm really really looking forward to this! Apple proved most times in the past that they start products for a market when they think "it's ready to rock ist". That they start with AR / VR is a great sign.
The hardware is the entrypoint but most interesting is the deep integration in the applesystem.
I travel a lot with a train. With a system like this I have always a office with me.
Let's see how the release will work out!
The travel thing is huge. Now that my son is getting older and covid has settled down a bit, we are getting back to traveling. We spent a month away from the house this summer, and it was painful to do everything on a laptop with a small portable monitor. I'd probably pony up $3500 for that feature alone. In fact, I've been using my Quest 3 with Immersed for 3-6 hours per day lately. It's been amazing, so I can only imagine what it's going to be like on a quality headset like AVP.
@@AdamLoweIO sadly it will not arrive in Germany in February but I will watch this new shiny toy very greedy!
I have so many ideas for tools like project or assetmanagement. The Golddiggertimes in the app market are over but this gives us completely new opportunities! 😍
Great video! This gets me very excited for what the future holds. I have seen posts that Apple will be selling a separate over the head strap that you can add for comfort and stability!
I wouldn;'t be surprised if an aftermarket ecosystem develops for stuff like that, just like it has with the Meta Quest. I see why they didn't want to include it, though. One of the big barriers to adoption is friction. Sticking something on your face, especially if it's going to mess up your hair, is just one more reason for people to not use a head mounted display. That's probobly why they chose the model with the incredible tall hair for their banner image. Subconsciously it tells viewers that it's an unobtrusive device.
classic apple using this as an opportunity to make more money
@@Top1tippy you better believe it :) If they included a headstrap that would be sending the message that it's something they suggest wearing, which would kill the "sleek and stylish" aesthetic of the device. I guess it's like a case for our iPhone -- nearly everyone uses one, but we all have different tastes in what kind we use.
The meta quest hand control is actually really good. For some games it's more intuitive that the physical controllers
@@AdamLoweIO I just read some reports that the over the head strap is included in the box. So I have no clue. We’ll have to wait and see some unboxing videos!
