      Zakading pretty much what I was thinking. Don't you just hate getting stuck with a deck that only manages 11/3. I mean fuck, can you believe that shit?
      Come back with a 2/3 triple legendary deck next time kripp.

    • @Zakading
      @Zakading Před 7 lety +11

      He still won 11 games. 12-X is a definite win, 12-0 a perfect win. If he went 4-3 or something along those lines with such a good deck it would've been properly losing. This was at best "not quite reaching the highest of expectations possible".

    • @CR89HW
      @CR89HW Před 7 lety +6

      He did say "a crazy arena deck," which is to imply a good deck. This video is to show how you still lose despite having a good deck. In the video, the reason why he lose is either going second, or have a bad opener while opponent has perfect curve (or combination of both).

  • @nikowardenski8044
    @nikowardenski8044 Před 7 lety +120

    The appropriate title is "How to lose with an arena deck, that has very good card quality, but too few 2 drops, lacks on 3s and has to rely on the opponent not getting a curve"

      If he hadn't accidentally picked the second Blackwing, his Kazakus would have been active and could have let him stabilize several turns before he died. And after that game he went 10 games without a loss.

      Most legendarys suck for Arena anyway. You have to control the board early on and there is (almost) no good early game legendary.
      Also a kraken or a 6/8 taunt outperform most high cost legendarys aswell.
      Legendarys are good because they are supposed to play in a certain deck with a certain combo, what is almost impossible to guarantee when you draft.

    Got 12 wins last night with a 65.6 Mage deck. Picked every kabal chemist I could, 4 in total, plus 1 kabal courier, 1 skillstrike, 2 sheeps and 1 volcanic potion. All minions were between 2 and 6 mana cost, lost only to a crazy aggro hunter and the luckiest paladin.

    Kripp drafted a deck that had good over all cards, but had an awful curve. Now I learned a lot from him, and he has said on rare occasion that curve is not necessarily gamebreaking, it can have extremely detrimental affects to your game.

  • @victorAPR96
    @victorAPR96 Před 7 lety +1

    Funny how kripp says how he couldnt display skill in some of these games because of how fast they were, but he probably would have gone 12 wins had he just payed attention to the draft and didint pick a second blackwing corrupter. It was only one mistake, but it costed him at least that one game against the shaman.

    The best decks for arena these days have strong tempo turns early in the game.
    example would be voidcaller into fearsome doom gaurd for a free 6/8 on turn 4.
    another is call in the finishers + everyfin is awesome for a turn 7 4x 3/3.
    or doppleganster + evolve.
    or a wide board + bloodlust.
    Even if I you a low tier score deck if you have few combo cards in there and draw them early enough in can eaily win the game.

    that last deck, the hunter, had a really crazy draw, since it curved out, even with his three one drops curved out, the odds are pretty astronomical.... but its borderline cheating, it woukd be like... having 2 one drops in your deck, drawing both and perfect curve out and answers. makes a winner, which is not really skill, but just face...

    1/3 of your deck was 4 or higher mana cost, this only works if you can heal or something like that, sure you can do 12 wins run but it would be harder because, as you can see, aggro decks in arena are crazy. i always look for 15 cards that cost 3 mana or less (even 20 cards if im playing hunter or aggro rogue) and 15 cards that cost 4 or plus

    I got a lot of decks with 70+ score using heartharena and not getting to 7 victories,then I made some shitty 65 score decks and getting to 10+ wins; 95% Rng and 5% skill.
    That's hearthstone for you

    I think you subestimate the Kazakus 1 cost mana potion to counter 1 health minions

  • @nemesigeorgegabriel2730

    first and third losses were BS, but you can't tell me the second loss was not completely avoidable. Demonfire on a 1-1...? Basically trading a 2 cost card for a .5 mana card, and on top of that, it was his turn 2 play with coin in hand, the most common card to see would be either a 3-2 or a 3-4, both of which demonfire would be incredibly useful for.

    I got a 4 legendary hunter deck the other day and it went 4 wins :( still was only rated a 65

    I don't get why kripp doesn't think arena should be standard. The card pool is ridiculous currently, so it's impossible to pick for synergy in arena. Standard solves that problem excellently.
