Suggestion: "Long term disadvantages of living in Portugal". I see all these videos of foreigners listing advantages (many) vs disadvantages (few) of living in Portugal, but if you think carefully about it they are all listing short term advantages: what a great relaxed lifestyle, look at these gorgeous beaches, food is fabulous, the Portuguese are such nice people, etc. How about a video about the long term disadvantages of living in Portugal? What will your life be like ten years on vs if you were living in the USA, the UK, etc? Obviously it'll mostly be guesswork, but I think it is worth doing and I've never seen it being done by anyone.

I'll be 55 this year, have lived in different places in the EU all life. Have never had to pay anything extra: 2 childbirths, a broken ancle (hospitalized for 10 days) breast cancer operation and treatment 10 years ago, followed by breast reconstruction for free. It is so much value to life not worrying about getting sick because of economy.

Most people outside of the US, think that insurance means that you pay a monthly fee and everything is covered, there is 0 cost. And the fact that insurance doesn't fully cover all costs is the weirdest part. People imagine that its simple, you pay a monthly fee and you are covered, fully covered.

I've had similar experiences. I was shocked to discover my contacts, which cost $200 a year ago, cost 10 TIMES that amount this year. Two little piece of plastic cost $2000 apiece... and I need those things because I have a disease called Keratokonus which cannot be corrected with glasses! On the other hand, my sister's daughters live in Switzerland, (Keratokonus is genetic) and paid NOTHING for their contacts. NOTHING. It was covered by their taxes. Yet ADA penalizes us for not buying this BS insurance. Grrr.

As a male, I commend you for discussing birth control on your channel. It's quite personal, & definitely something people don't talk about when it comes to cost comparison. The pill, or plan b is not something that should be taboo and is something everyone should have a right to access at an affordable cost! Good job Cecily! Cheers from 🇨🇦
