Thanks for the tip on how to tuck away the zippers to prevent someone going through the pass through.
You're more than welcome Vince. Always happy to share tips and tricks 🤙
Follow up review one year later. I have now switched to this bag over the Hazard 4 Bandoleer. This bag is so much lighter and more than meets my needs for what I carry. I recently injured my knee so in trying to limit the weight I am carrying I switched to this bag. Realised I prefer the lighter weight and the fact that it does not move when wearing. Phenomenal bag and I am now planning on getting at least one more in a different colour.
The Bandoleer is an awesome pack. I had one for some content a few years back. That's think is bomber for sure. I'm a huge fan of the strap on the Bandloeer
A great review. I placed an order for the Greyman. I like my Hazard 4 Bandoleer and it is perfect as a cross chest carry during the week.
However, I can see a place for the Viktos Upscale Sling 2 bag as a dedicated weekend EDC bag. It would go well with my Maxpedition Valence or Entity sling bags which are a similar colour.
The organisation for the Viktos is fine for me as I carry from right shoulder across the chest. I can see how I could store my travel card and wallet in the front, glasses and hat in the rear and hang a water bottle in a carabiner from the front. Definitely will suit my purpose as a weekend edc cross-chest bag.
Hi Harry. This is the perfect example of how I'll be using this when I can start travelling again with work. Being able to sit perfectly horizontal across my front whilst having a larger bag to travel with is perfect. Hotel... ditch larger bag... grab the Upscale 2 for a wonder around the city. I'd love to hear what you think about it when yours arrives. Have a great week buddy
I only have positive things to say about this bag since I used it for the first time today as a weekend edc sling bag for light carry.
It is more than suitable for my purposes. I will still use my Hazard 4 bandoleer for work in the week because I purchased that primarily for the hard protection. I carry a personal mobile smart phone and a work smart phone. Both are very expensive and the bandoleer gives me comfort that they are more than adequately protected.
On the weekend all I need to carry is my wallet, a fairly heavy set of keys with various edc tools on, a pack of chewing gum and my smart travel pass. My smart phone hangs in a neck lanyard but I can also slip it into the sling bag.
I have attached my Contigo insulated luxe mug/bottle in a Hazard 4 bottle pack with a carabiner to the strap.
A plastic bungee cord attaches the travel card which sits in the front pocket. And a bottle if sanitiser is also attached on a carabiner from one of the strap loops on the corner of the bag.
I still have plenty of space to put more items in. I also keep my cap in it when not wearing it.
Can’t thank you enough for recommending this product. It is great and definitely now a part of my weekend rotation.
Also surprising how changing your rotation changes your frame of mind. I hadn’t realised that putting the bandoleer on put me in work mode because I carry it to work all the time. Having a different sling bag on definitely put me Into relaxation/personal time mode. And that is only good for my mental health and well-being.
I might get another one in a different colour as a back up.
Also to add that the sling bag definitely stays in place compared to the bandoleer I can tolerate it on the bandoleer due to the advantage of the protective hard case but it is nice not to have any movement.
Excellent video.. I like the style of slings and have many, I might just have to add this one to my collection. I switch in and out so many bags everyday almost, Thanks for the informative review. Very Nice!!
You're more than welcome Will. Viktos are definitely making some great gear. I'm a bit like you and change up my bags a lot too. Variety is the spice of life 😀 Have a great weekend
Nice bag and review. The shoulder strap looks wide but I wish it came with a padded movable piece. I find, after a couple of hours, and with a decent amount in a sling bag, that the strap starts to dig. Having a bit of padding really helps.
Hi Kyt. Yes, I guess that's a valid point. I'm not usually a massive fan of those pads, however I appreciate there's lot of people that love them. It's something I'll try and consider more in the future. Thanks for watching and commenting buddy
I’ve used the seatbelt pads that have gel padding from Amazon on backpacks and sling bags. They work well.
For this slingbag since I only use it for light carry on weekends the padding is more than sufficient.
The velcro thing on the front is for patches that you can buy on Amazon or at any gun show. As for the zippers, look for a seamstress or taylor in your area as they should be able to fix or replace these easily. I've had zippers replaced on many bags that have worn out over time.
Hi Michael. I hope you're well buddy. Thanks for the comment here. I'll have a look into these. I'm a huge morale patch fan 😆🤘
Your reviews are awesome! Very in depth, feels very genuine, and youre one of the very few youtubers who review European gear but also speaks perfect English.
If you could, try to get your hands on the Tasmanian Tiger Gunners pack. It looks interesting
Hi Notkaisen. You're more than welcome although I'm not 100% sure my English is perfect 😂 I do have the TT Combat MKII on it's way to me to test out, however I'll make sure to ask about the Gunner. I think the modular nature of that pack is very interesting indeed. I'm keeping my fingers crossed I can get my hands on a Trooper as well... All my fingers crossed
Thanks for watching and commenting. Have a great week
You should post your vids on r/tacticalgear on reddit. Im sure ppl would appreciate your reviews
I like what you did at 14:00. Very practical method to keep those zippers out of the way. 👍
Glad it was helpful! Thanks for watching Sean
A really interesting video. Thank you mate!
Thanks Kankukan. I appreciate the kind words. Is this something you'd been looking at or is this the first time you've seen the Upscale 2?
@@MoorlanderEDC it is the first time. I am a Maxpedition-holic and I am not able to go outside it's bags.. still I have Peak Design one ecc..
So I appreciated your video.. no I appreciate all your videos.. they give me more informations so that maybe someday I'll be able to leave Maxpedition eheheh.
This said.. the intro.. shoot.. love it eheh
Sling bag here we go bro😁 Grey color looks great on you. Stay safe moorlander
Rock on! Stay safe Copter
Yet again, another great review my friend- keep on with the awesome content 👍🏻👍🏻
Thanks Thor. As always, I appreciate the feedback and continued support. Have a great week buddy
In the states, we call it a "finger bang", because we tend to say "bang bang" as we do it. 😆
Hey Niel. I love learning this stuff. 'Finger bang' over here has a completely different meaning 😀 I'm guessing there's a double meaning there too 😂
@@MoorlanderEDC haha yes here too, just depends on context 😂😂
I must have the first version as mine is different in a number of ways. The larger pocket on mine only opens three quarters of the way round. Mine hasn’t got the loops at the top where you put your zippers. The top of mine is covered in Velcro. The strap looks more cushioned on yours and mine hasn’t got the quick release buckle. I really like it and this new version is better but I would have just kept a small amount of Velcro on it for patches
Hey NFE, I'm with you there buddy. A small part of me really like a little hook and loop to throw on a patch or two. It's all about the bling 😅 I hope you're well my friend and still having some great adventures
They have a 2.0 version out now. Sounds like you have the older 1.0 version. I think there’s pros and cons with both.
I just got the 3 I like the upgrades do wish they would have left place for a patch and maybe the Mollie tho
Great review!
Thanks QM4. I appreciate the kind words. Have a great day
Nice simple review. I appreciate that.
You're more than welcome. This is a great sling pack for sure. I hope this helped if you're thinking of picking one up 👍
I am and with your help I'm going to order one for my grey-perspective lifestyle. Thank you,and keep doing you for such gear etc for the EDC community
As always, you're more than welcome 🤘
Loved your review LOL thank you. Just had mine delivered.
Hey MG, I do like to through a little character into my content. I'm glad this helped, and when yours arrives, I'd love to hear your thoughts on it. Have a great week
@@MoorlanderEDC It is a good build for the money. It is 1/2" too small in every dimension for my EDC though. Im not sure I can make it work. So close.
Oh man, that's a shame. I'll have a think to see if there's another one I can recommend. Is it just for general EDC or did you make use of the CCW side of the Upscale?
@@MoorlanderEDC Yes the Glock 19 barely fits the CCW compartment, makes unzipping a little bit of a task. I use a Vertx Gamut 2.0, but that is a full size pack of course I just wanted something for essentials/light
@@daflea66 I'll have a think to see if there's something out there for you 👍
Superb finger pistol skill... Great video... Thank you!!
Hey PTP. Thank you my friend. When one dedicates your life to finger pistoling it becomes an extension of your body. It's took decades to get to this level of skill 😆😆🤘
I hope you picked up the brass rounds after all that finger firing! 🤣 Another top review mate. Never been keen on these smaller on the go bags but you’ve got me thinking after watching this.
Hi JT, yes, leave a scene without any trace is lesson No63 on the joint SAS/SBS 5 year training course. Once you're finger pistol trained. It's complete change of mindset and more like a way of life 🙃
I'm always in the middle with sling and why I prefer waist packs for a grab bag. The flat across the back carry of the Upscale is the real winner here. They could have fluffed the internal layout and mangled this whole this and it would still score highly (if I had a scoring system that is 😃)
If you do end up getting one Johnny, I'd love to hear your thoughts on it. Have a cracking week buddy
@@MoorlanderEDC Haha you need some Moorlander Finger pistol stickers 🤣 Have a good one too bud 👍🏻
When I start making merch... That's top of the list, closely followed by a "Shoot" tshirt 😁
Great vid m8 ! Keep it up !
Thanks buddy. I hope you're well
Are there advocacy groups in the UK working to restore people's rights??? That "UK compliant toy gun" is a tragedy! I hope you're involved and moving the needle towards defense advocacy.
Hey buddy. I hope you're well and having a great week. Yes, there's groups trying to allow greater access to certain fire arms. Generally most fire arms are ok here especially for rifles. Anyone can play for a shot gun licence for sports, and there's a separate licence for bolt action style hunting rifles too. We can own anything from a Ruger 10/22 all the way up to a Barrat 50.c if we wanted to, or at least after a ID/criminal check by the local police. All rifles above 22LR must be single action. Semi auto is only on 22LR. I could own a AK47, however it has to be modified so that every round has to be chambered manually. I think this is similar to California laws, although we can have a full, swappable magazine. The only issues is with pistols. Do to the issues we had with the IRA in the 70s and 80s, pistols are banned unless they've been heavily modified i.e. barrel has to be no less than 12inches and the over all length of the pistol has to be no less than 24inches. This is mainly due to how easy they are to hide on a person. On the flip side gun related crime here is near enough zero... However it just goes to show that is guns are hard to get, criminals will find other means to hurt people. Here Knife crime is sky high, as well as criminals throwing acid at each other as well as bystanders.
We have a similar 'Right to bare arms' as the US, however some sneaky politician added 'with in the law' at the end of the sentence. The UK government as really holding onto those last few words so as long as they change the laws, then the right to bare arms gets to change. There's lots of gun communities trying to make it work here. We even have our own NRA, however it doesn't have the political sway it does in the US, or other countries around the world. The UK has a reputation of being a none-gun owning country, however our gun community is thriving over here. I've been thinking of putting together a piece of content around UK gun culture. I definitely recommend having a look here on CZcams. It's very easy to find
Have a great week Shot Tec. Stay well my friend
This pack is growing on me
It's a grower for sure 🤟 thanks for watching UB. If you eventually do get one, I'd love to hear your thoughts. Stay safe
@@MoorlanderEDC will do
@@MoorlanderEDC so cons is the price !
Short story for 30 years i have used a molle water bladder with alice straps .
Functionality great i use it as my quick ditch rolling gear only items for my edc work pack
Aka if need to ditch my main bag i just pull this pack out with my essentials in it and go
@@MoorlanderEDC I probably wont do a video on that but i will share it with you on your ig
Didn't you do a video on the larger Upscale XL? I was sure I watched it before, but I'm looking and can't find it.
Nope... But I really should do 🤣 lemme see if I can pick one up 👍
Hmm... I must have been mixing it up with the two Viktos Perimeter bags (25, 40). But yeah, a video on the Upscale XL would be nice. There's also the Upscale 3 out now which replaces the Upscale 2.
Nice vid
Can the main compartment where the CCW is supposed to go fit a iPad mini ?
Yes definitely. I'd double check the dimensions however I'm 99% sure it'll fit perfectly
yes, shrink wraps
That's it 🤣
@@MoorlanderEDC wish there was a different pocket on the inside, for a small tablet, to separate it from the firearm. The xl version has it. Don't know why they didn't do it here. Either way, I'm getting one ha
Those finger pistols are probably pretty effective against one of those finger knife attacks in London you hear about…
Never bring a finger knife to a finger pistol fight. It's the first thing you learn in Finger Pistol Academy... but sadly you're right. Knife crime here in the UK, especially in London, is getting out of hand. They're also throwing acid at each other too which is learning people disfigured for life. It's not very nice. If only all criminals carried Nerf guns 😀
Oh man, where can I find that teddy bear?
amzn.to/3hJ6W3g 😉
Why do you think the hand strap is on the bottom?
As far as i'm aware, it's to help pulling the bag round. In one of the poop hits the fan moments and you need to grab for a CCW it's a better grip point
I must have been dropped on my heads as a child as well. I do a bunch of things as a lefty a d other things as a right. I've never heard anyone else admit to this anomaly.
You're amongst good company Mike. Clearly we're the natural evolution of the human race 🤜🤛
Can you fit an iPad mini in this ?
Hi. I'm not 100% sure of the dimensions however I'm going to hazard an educated guess of 'yes'. I'd recommend double checking the measurements however I'm pretty sure it'll fit.
@@MoorlanderEDC how about a shock cord on the 4 loops ? I like it but I wish it had compression straps for a little jacket.
Hello!!!!!

Big enough lol 6k is a great channel growth
Yeah I'm pretty proud of it. I think with the covid restrictions around Europe I might save the cash and book tickets to Vegas next year instead... Are you close to Vegas?
@@MoorlanderEDC yes 4 to 5 hours
@@MoorlanderEDC by next year hopefully i have my own booth if so i will take care of your entry ticket . Either way we will meet up its a great event . If you like swag you could fill up a duffle bag of patches and stickers and gear no problem
This sounds like a plan. With Shot Show being the biggest and best, it would be a great chance to make more contacts
@@MoorlanderEDC so in 2020 i went for one day and had it pre planed with 50 brands and one private meeting with first tactical. And meet and greets with few brands i work with
So i basically interviewed 50 brands to strengthen my traffic and relationships .
5:30am to 6:00pm it was a power day
I also doubled my followers
I also filmed a few interviews on product .
Epic finger pistol 🤣
Thank you R&C, it's a craft I've dedicated my life to 😅 I hope you're well and safe wherever you find yourself buddy
I went to the shot show when i only had 120 subs
I think it's more the distance and expense. Most of the stuff I do here is through my CZcams funds. There's a chance may be this time next year I might be able to afford. Its definitely on my wish list
Did I hear right " Toy gun"
If you're a CZcams moderator... then, yes, it's a toy gun 😊
Cowabunga.!
26 is just a nice day by Aussie standards. Over 40 is hot.
Hey Fred. In Oz, you've got more things to worry about than heat. Spiders, snakes, croc, sharks and the big reds. You guys are die hard 😃 Stay safe and well my friend

The youtuber intro
🤘 Glad you like it buddy. It started off as a cross between a parody of old Tubers and my favourite character, David Brent from the Office. I think there should me more cheesy stuff on here and people having fun with their content 😆 Thanks for watching buddy
The branding isnt subtle. Had someone on the rail google the name off the bag, and then asked me if I carried a gun in the bag.
The v2 bags branding is annoying. I ordered a black one to replace one like yours, hoping the lettering is black still so isnt as noticeable, other wise will prob go with vertx.
Hi John. Thanks for the comments. Vertx is a company I'm itching to try more of. They can be tricky to get hold of here. I'll check them out. Have a great weekend buddy
I did the same thing to a guy at the gym with a vertx bag. I asked him you carrying? He looked like oh shit and we ended up becoming friends over the “edc” lifestyle. Agreed, some branding and I find anything with Molle really screams “I’m tactical minded”. I ordered a camo Herschel supply bag bc I found it being more of a hipster brand the black multicam didn’t scream tactical as much as other bags
Hi Jonathan, I get that. I think there's definitely a difference between our great nations. With firearm being limited here these type of packs don't really draw a lot of attention... Unless you're in the know. I can definitely see how they're viewed across the Pond. I've seen a lot of traditionally non-tactical companies adding CCW sections to packs so they're less obvious. I hope you're well and having a great weekend buddy
Did he really just say 78.8F/26C is way too hot??? *cries in 105F*
I'M BRITISH!! 😀😀😀 105F would kill me. I'd be like the Wicked Witch of the West and dissolve into a puddle on the floor... On the flip side I'm more than happy still wearing flip flops and shorts when it's -10C. That's 100% from the Scottish side of my family. Thanks for watching Kaori246, have a great week
Was wondering how far I’d have to scroll to see someone mention this. My first thought when he mentioned heat I had to see what 26 degrees was in F. Wow, 78 is almost a nice day where I’m at, I’d take that every day in the summer.
I'm a warm blooded man of the North 🤣 I'd happily live in the minus Celsius temperatures... Plus, we red heads don't fair well in the hot sun
Those zippers are actually call self healing zippers not reverse stitch and that 1000 d cordura not 600
No way 😊 I knew about the self heeling part but though they were called reverse stitch. I must have picked that up from somewhere. Thanks for the update Warlan. I hope you're well my friend and have a great new year 👍
