Eunchae is definitely the next great maknae. I don't think maknaes have an obligation to act cute just because they're the youngest, but Eunchae is naturally just younger sister vibes in the way she makes fun of the other members and they all go along with it, and how they take care of her. It helps that she's actually young and a has a sorta standard sibling age gap with the other members. I feel like she's just really genuine and unafraid to be herself. I really liked the segment in the dance practice behind when she was struggling with the move and the members gave her a lot of support and eventually she managed to do it. It showed her being vulnerable and imperfect and it also showed the amazing chemistry of the team. I definitely agree that Le Sserafim has some of the best group chemistry out there, like seriously all of their interactions are very funny or wholesome and they seem like a bunch of sisters (the Eunchae birthday stream man...). Eunchae is also really great as a performer, I love her lower voice and to me her dancing is actually among the best in the group. I definitely find her relatable and a cool down to earth person 👍
Honestly during Fearless era when they first debuted, I wondered if she had a place in the group because she stood out to me the least. But after Garam left (still sad), and Eunchae took over her part, I saw how good she actually is. I noticed how she would always wink during that part and thought it was so adorable and charming. Thinking about it, I don't think many female idols use winks on stage that much, I think Le Sserafim actually does it the most i've seen. Eunchae is super spunky and fun, a perfect maknae.
What hybe is good at is left their idols being more themsleves. Eunchae is such a good example: they leave her being just what it is a teen in every sense, not too much cutesy not really an grown up. She is just her. I agree she is THE maknae. Jk was babied a lot by the group and the fandom. He just gives that cute aura, is hard not to see. Eunchae is cute aswell but she is not babied because her aura doesn't give that feeling. She will tell you how it is and move on jk was way too shy when young.
She's naturally cute. And she doesn't do those overly cutesy/babyish voice that idols do which sounds so cringe for me. Sometimes some idols go overboard acting cute in front of the camera..
Her mannerisms are natural and comfortable and don't make me cringe

I have two favourite maknaes this year: It's Eunchae and Kyujin... Eunchae because she just makes my day whenever I see her smile.. lol something about here is so fascinating... Kyujin because this girl's potential is crazy.. She's already amazing as it is, especially at her age.. I'm excited for the future of my talented maknaes.

I think a lot of the reason we see Eunchae as such a great maknae is not only because of her personality and cute nature but also because of the way she interacts with the other members. When watching le sserafim content it's very easy to understand the dynamic of the group and see how the rest of them care for Eunchae.
I also think its important to mention Wonyoung and while I could be wrong about this or just plain old delusional Wonyoung in izone was another one of the most maknae maknaes and we watched the way the industry treated her and the way they treat her now with over-sexualization and the way they critiqued every little thing she did when she was literally 14 makes me wonder if Chaewon and Sakura are hoping to be able to protect Eunchae in a way they weren't able to do with Wonyoung.

No I do agree with this vid everytime I see vids of manchaee she’s so real and has strong maknae energy she’s so confident and gen z it’s unreal even at the awards she has that flare about her that makes her memorable and bright and funny with the jacket comparisons
I think what makes eunchae different from other maknaes is she acts like a teen and as a teen i can say she really has that energy and also her behaviour it can be seen in bts of lesserafim
i honestly never regard maknae position in kpop before until i met eunchae. she's just the perfect maknae to me, naturally cute, funny and also very loving to her members. her presence definitely helps in lsf's chemistry and overall vibe as a group. she makes the group more likeable, grounded, and extremely fun while consuming their contents. i mean we got 2 veteran idols, an opera singer, and a ballerina in one group, it just makes me think that they're 'untouchable' 'very idol like' but having eunchae who is very relatable and truly a gen z makes me love lsf more
Listening to this description of maknae while keeping in mind Hwasa is a maknae is crazy lol. But idk since when people treat it as an actual position, like how can someone be "the best" at being.. youngest 😭
eunchae reminds me a lot of jungkook in a good way! they both just fit so naturally into the role of maknae. with jungkook it wasn't as apparent for me since he's the same age as my big brother but with eunchae (who's significantly younger than me) i get the urge to baby them and protect them that other people did for maknaes like jungkook lol

i think seeing how much the members and other staff as well like her, makes fans like her more. the members always pet her and dote on her, make excuses for her and allow her to misbehave and are playful with her. the staff always encourage her and laugh with her so it endears her more to us in that way as well. she’s also quite talented and has a lot of potential.

I honestly think this title is very fitting for Eunchae. I would say that it could apply to Yeojin if BBC wasn’t a dumpster fire of a company. Since debut Yeojin has matured and become confident while still maintaining cuteness and that maknae aura while becoming a better vocalist and rapper however she gets overshadowed and doesn’t get as many opportunities in LOONA for me to really apply this to her plus the current situation with BBC makes LOONA’s future uncertain.
In my opinion, LE SSERAFIM's EUNCHAE and NMIXX's KYUJIN have the most potential for being 4th gen's best Maknaes.
Just as this video pointed out, EUNCHAE already has such a likeable and relatable personality, a little sister blossoming alongside her more experienced older sisters. She has the drive to be better and she always seems to enjoy herself on and off stage.
KYUJIN on the other hand is a whole other beast. From vocals, visuals, dancing, rapping and stage presence, the girl immediately stole the stage through her debut. Despite all of the hate her team gets (all of it mostly not really their fault if you actually care to think about it), she brings nothing less than 100%, case in point, her center position in the Dice era.
These two shows their worth as idols and here's to hoping they have a bright future, may it be in this industry or life in general.
(On a side note, with all that is happening with NMIXX, I hope that all of us can respect their privacy and not attack any of the members. Please remain neutral until further notice and remain critical of any new "information" from all platforms.)
Yuna I believe is a good contestant to this ''debate'' as well. She has a very youthful energy, but can switch to savage on stage. Her rapping skills are very good, especially considering her speed. As a dancer and performer she is very eye catching and magnetic, also very girly. Even if people don't prefer her vocals that much, she has good moments throughout Itzy's music.
Kyujin, I agree with all of that, really sucks how there always needs to be a punching bag in kpop. Eunchae has a lot of potential, and it will definitely be interesting to see what's hidden in her sleeves.
I have to be honest. Maknae means "the youngest" and I don't think someone can be "good" or "better" at being a youngest at a team. It's one of the most useless titles to have. It's not like being a leader. It's not related to talent. It just means they happened to be the youngest one. And I don't think we should be comparing the youngest of groups, simply for their "positions" as the youngest. It still makes no sense, not even after 15+ years of kpop for me.

The thing I like about Maknaes in a group is that they’re the one that progress and mature a lot throughout the years and it’s fun to see them grow take for example Yeojin from LOONA she debuted at 14 years old now she’s 20 years old she’s a young women now and you can tell she’s matured by the way she talks she of course still has that Maknae energy with her bright and energetic personality but she’s definitely matured so much I didn’t get heavy into Kpop till a few years ago I’ve always heard of it and would listen to certain songs occasionally but I have fully become a fan and listen to it so much and when I get into a group I tend to go crazy into learning about them and watching old videos and recent ones to see how much they’ve changed and when I saw how young Yeojin was up until now it amazes me and although I wasn’t there to see her grow up throughout the years it still made me cry watching all those videos of her from debut till now and I’m for sure gonna feel the same way when Eunchae gets grows up I love the goofiness she brings to Le Sserafim and how naturally funny she is and I mom excited to see her vocals and dancing get better too cause she of course has room to improve she’s definitely an amazing Maknae to watch and see how she interacts with her members

I think a good comparison from 3rd gen would be Yeri from Red Velvet. Yeri brought the color to Red Velvet that was kind of missing and that Joy couldn't fill as a maknae. But even to this day you can see the maknae energy from her even though she is older than she was during debut.

Bro Im late in the cup but, It's my first time seeing a combination of the usual cute-bright girl, paired with elegant deep voice with a slice of Gen Z sense of humour I can relate, Eunchae is rare indeed, and I love the contrast of Le Sserafim on stage and off stage, from baddas and Intense coreo to a walking comedian in a second, I never get bored watching them.
it really help that there really is a gap in age, so her "maknee" personality shine more compare to 24 sakura. Also the members are very big sister like, yujin and sakura really take care of her. As a sakura fan since akb, it's really nice because sakura debuted at 13 , she must know the harship that come when you debut young. and they let her be silly. Most of the time the maknee has to bend to the older and addapt to them. Here they encourage her acting her age and when they compliment her they say cute, shinny and funny. That are healthy compliment to a young girl, overall i think lesserafim will go very well, sakura and yujin have such good mind set to lead the group. chaewon has high objectiv and seem looking foward to go high and proove herself so i axpect a lot form them. seen how much thye imporve over 1 years i'm really exited and that been a long time i am hyped.

I personally don't like her. I followed lesserafim ever since fearless, i was there when they debuted and believe me when I say i did not notice eunchae at all! This is the truth, if garam was still in the group, eunchae wouldn't be so popular. If someone benefited most from garam leaving, that would be eunchae.
Now i understand that this is not a real reason to dislike her at all, but I've seen their documentary and i was shocked that she was chosen to debut. Like girl's talent is below average, she has nothing special, she doesn't offer anything different. I'm 1000% sure that there were far more talented and promising trainees in the company, but they went ahead and chose her?? Sorry but it doesn't make sense to me. She is average, in Everything ! And it's sad to see people being all over her just because she's the maknae ..
