Best of Motorcycles at Festival of Speed 2023: MotoGPs, 2-Strokes, Honda RC174, XSR900 DB40, Tesi H2

- Here's my traditional video about the "Motorcycles Batch" of the 2023 Festival of Speed which includes both old glories and some of the newest "first-glance" superbikes.This year has been pretty special in Goodwood as, for the first time in 17 years, the MotoGP calendar didn't clash with the Festival of Speed weekend, offering an incredible opportunity to celebrate the motorcycling's top racing series.
This means that a number of current teams and riders were present at the event such as Francesco Bagnaia, Enea Bastianini and Michele Pirro aboard the 2023 Ducati Desmosedici GP23, Brad Binder and test rider Mika Kallio with their Red Bull KTM RC16 as well as Augusto Fernandez and Pol Espargaró on the GASGAS Tech3 KTMs. Meanwhile, Aprilia brought a 2023 RS-GP to be shared among Miguel Oliveira, Lorenzo Savadori and Raúl Fernández.
Obviously some legends of the past could not be missing from such a celebration. In this video you can spot Casey Stoner driving his old Desmosedici but also a 2-stroke RGV500, Giacomo Agostini on a MV Agusta, Mick Doohan, Freddie Spencer, Kevin Schwantz, Wayne Gardner, Randy Mamola, Kenny Roberts Jr. and Àlex Crivillé.

Superb video. Thanks for putting it up. Best bit must be 13:43 with Casey and Pecco going up the hill together. Which nearly never happened! Casey’s Desmo stalled on the line and had to be restarted. With time at a premium due to the lost day we had one shot at it. Luckily I’m a bit heavier(!) than Casey and held the back down so the starter could bite. It did and the rest, as they say, is history. Thanks again.

That Vimto NSR500V is everything
13:49 Just look at how the aero parts changed in a matter of 15 or so years. It is not just the winglets. The screen is in a totally different size, shape and angle also. The fairing itself is slim and weirdly shaped. I just find the original Desmoscedici better.

It should be a Brough Superior KTOR from 1924
Correct. It is Tony Perkins on his Brough Superior. This was shot just after he had lost his front number! We had to get the scissors out to make him another out of the unused ones. Hats of to Tony as no matter what the elements chucked our way he still took the Brough up the hill. Top bloke.

Maybe I’m just a fool, but, I’d really like to see both a Motorcycle and Car League that’s only restriction on design and powerplants were that they were started as something the public could buy. Aside from that, no restrictions, speed and safety be damned. Oh and the pilot has to be human, no AI.

Squat device. They can squat the suspension front and rear for the race start and the rear while exiting corners onto straights. It keeps the center of gravity low and improves acceleration.

I know it's just my opinion, but aero kits have GOT TO GO! This is a perfect display of how out of control they're getting.
They don't, MOTO GP are PROTOTYPES, which means that they supposed to be extremes, unseen things.
