  • I worked long hours the past week crunching to get this video done. I was starting to get worried I wouldn't finish it in time. :) All of the art was done using Midjourney 6. Let me know what you think! Do you prefer videos like this? Do you prefer more frequent videos with a single image per video? If you want me to continue to create videos like this, they will definitely take a lot of time to make. I am still not sure if I could do one of these each week, or if it would take more like two weeks per video. Either way post a comment and let me know what you think!
Now back to your regularly scheduled description.
Welcome to the captivating and chilling world of Xinferis, where we venture into the realms of sci-fi, dark sci-fi, horror, and dark fantasy soundtracks, perfectly accompanied by mesmerizing AI art.

Holy hell you managed to tell a story through just music tone change and images alone, that is actually sick as hell...

Thank you! It was definitely by far the most challenging video I have ever made. When I thought of the concept though, I had to make it.

Just subscribed to the channel, I can't tell you how brilliant your material is, especially the alien horrors series. I'm pretty ancient so I grew up during the 1960's and 70's when trading cards were all the rage and every single image you produced could have been highlighted on the old Outer Limits card sets - high praise indeed!

Regarding the questions you asked - I'm a traditional comic book artist and I'd say from experience that you should be careful that you don't burn yourself out. The material is so good that people will happily wait until you are ready to release it. Personally I love the ones like Terror from the Triangulum Galaxy series - the music expertly enhances the mood of the art and I get a real range of influences from the shlock horror of 1950's paperback covers to the 1930's soundstages used for the original Flash Gordon/Buck Rogers and even the Wizard of Oz is in there somewhere. Again, being ancient I probably see more in the pictures than younger folks would but there is a definite influence from soviet sci fi cinema, that sterile laboratory feel of humans getting involved in things they really shouldn't. TLDR version - if it takes 2 or 3 weeks to create them then that's fine by me - don't rush things and don't tire yourself out or you will lose enthusiasm - at least that's what happens to me from time to time.

Thank you for the very thoughtful and detailed comment. I really appreciate the feedback. I have my work cut out for me at this point with two CZcams channels. :) One frustrating thing is that I started this channel a year ago, yet the channel Xinferis TV that I created just a month ago is overwhelmingly more popular. Like with the latest videos I just posted yesterday, the video on Xinferis TV literally has more than 40 times more views than the one here. I spent considerably more time on the video I released here too. That being said, I learned a lot making "The Android Uprising" and I used some of what I learned in "The Terrors of the Triangulum Galaxy".
It seems that for the most part, no matter what video I release on this channel, it gets around the same number of views. So I may just focus on releasing videos that are more focused on the music on this channel, and create the more elaborate video productions for Xinferis TV. Still trying to decide exactly what to do, especially because I only have a limited amount of time to make videos. :)
Once again I really appreciate the feedback.

@@XinferisMusic Hmm, okay then, I have no proof that this is the case, it's only based on my experiences of CZcams and the viewers in general but I would suggest one of the problems might be the fact that there are many more channels devoted to music, ambient/synth in particular, than to AI art. Not sure if that's true, it's just the impression I get as a viewer. That of course makes it harder to get new musical material noticed on its own whereas by combining the music with the AI art as in the "Terror.." series you are giving folks a double treat with the added bonus that it shows your skill at creating relevant atmospheric music tailored to a set of images which is a rare skill when you do it as well as you have been doing on the "Terrors" series. On top of that AI art is relatively new and in the headlines and unless I'm missing some huge blocks of content somewhere there isn't nearly as much of it in video form on YT. The real bonus however, again in my opinion only, is that you have managed to create a really unique AI vision of SciFi horror which combines threads of memory from so many sources that folks may not even recognise that they know it. It's like a big budget Twilight Zone of Terror via the Outer Limits and take it from me, as a fellow artist and frequent researcher I have NEVER seen such an amazing and consistent (ie looks like the same in-universe world they all came from) look in a sequence of images. Tell you what, to save blocking up the comments section I'll give you a shout via email if that's ok? Lots more to say but this probably isn't the place or time. Cheers!!

@billstorie1186 I was working with AI art for almost a year before I started making the style of art I do with Xinferis TV. Once I started experimenting with that style, I knew I had to create the new channel right away. I am really not that bothered that I have kind of turned into a "filmmaker" from a musician. The music still is extremely important, even if many of the people that watch the videos don't realize it. Good music can make people perceive that the images look better, and create more emotion and atmosphere. All of my music was soundtrack style music regardless so it's at least fitting.
I think the issue with a lot of AI art videos on CZcams is that people are trying to make AI art, not real art. It's usually just "hey check out what AI can do!" I use AI as my means of making art, but I use it to create an end product.
I actually try as hard as I can to make the art look like it's not AI art. It's not that I want to hide that I use it as a tool. I just don't want things like spaghetti hands and other messed up looking stuff. :) It's pretty funny too, because I have a lot of people commenting on videos and asking what movie the images were from. There was one person that was actually a bit upset that I didn't credit the movie the images were from. I consider that a compliment. :)
I am always commenting on my CZcams videos with overly long comments, but sure you can reach out via email.

I'm working on an article for a comic book/SF/Fantasy website (non profit site) aiming to dispel the "purists" idea that AI art is a fruit machine where the computer does all the work and was wondering if I might use a few images as examples of what can be done when real talent is applied to the tools - I'll email details to you shortly but just wondering if you might be up for it? At the very least it would be a bit of free publicity for you, get the work spread about this amazing artwork. Cheers!!
