To admit to calling someone Lucy Liu because you’re too lazy to figure out how to pronounce their name properly on live television is embarrassing 🤦♀️
watching Janja flash what the other climbers couldn't do in 4 minutes is absolutely unreal
insane
I always expect her to do it, yet always get surprised and amazed when she does indeed do it :)
I could agree but she does that every time 😂💪
By now it's the 'show us the beta' moment
@@Amatsuichi That's because of the way she does it. On that first on I thought she would just flash the coordination sequence, but instead she statics it. On that last on she just easily pinches and campuses what the others could barely hold on to. A freak of nature in the most positive way.
If you felt like you already watched this comp: You probably did, it took place in April :D
Lol I kept thinking I saw this before and thought I was losing it ty😂
Good reason as any to again see Janja ignore the paddle dyno
I was first thinking, man...they need to be more original with the route setting. Clued in and just watched Yanya's climbs. 😊
I would love to see Janja on some mens final problems! I bet she would crush
Most of female problems are so boring.
it's always amazing how unmatched janja is. incredible strength.
Thank you SO much for these videos. They make these incredible competitions much more watchable for those of us with less time!
Janja Garnbret is on another level, makes it look sooo easy in walls that no many elite atlethes can complete, smashing every competition. Also loved Camilla Moroni, she is so strong and patient
thanks for the upload!!
and to the ifsc, bring Alex back to comment hehe
Janja among the competitors...
Hmm... Have no idea who will win today.
thanks for the video, love you guys
thank you!
That was incredible to watch, thank for all the involved😊
Hermosa mi Janja como siempre. ❤
Thanks for video!
Brava brava Camilla Moroni 👏
visual glitch around 10 min
janja is just so insanely above everyone... unless she's out of commission you're only ever really competing for second place
janja is insane, made first boulder look easy
11:32 I liked that 😊 good adjustment
Bravissima Camilla!!!!
👍👍
Some really nice problems to solve there
I did quite a lot of Judo when I was younger.
Tape never held there either :)
Janja - Terminator
The Lucy Liu comment is a real problem.
😬 ikr
Can you explain?
Thank you!! I hardly believed my ears.
@@G.Giorgio It can feel like making fun of her name. Also not making any effort to try to pronounce the name and just making up a "nickname".
@@23Zakira it depends on if she is okay with it or not I would say
Janja is so strong
This was aired one month ago.
Janja can just break the game physics.
Janja is built different.
😊
Where is Ai Mori?
Where's Alex Honnold as a commentator?
yeah we loved alex ^^ but these two are amazing as well ❤
Watching Janja is no fun anymore 😁😝
dude... Lucy liu? her name not even close to that. gotta change this broadcaster and whoever approved of that
Why? The broadcasters didn’t invent the name? is there reason to believe zhilu is offended by it? When the broadcasters do (try to) pronounce her name they pronounce it pretty well. And if her non-chinese speaking fans and others have this at her pet name, would there really be something inherently wrong with that? When would a nickname for a non-english speaker than be appropriate or never? Just genuinely interested in people’s ideas about this.
@@10freekie2 dude I thought it was something close to her name and it was far from it. So if it was an Asian man with the last name Chan and they couldn’t pronounce the first name, so they Jsut called him Jackie Chan, that would be ok? It not that big of a deal for me, I am just very surprised how comfortable they said it and jokingly. They didn’t even try to say her first name.
It's just disrespectful. She is a finalist in this competition. Give her name an ounce of respect and figure out the phonetics.
Wow none of the finalists of the previous cup made it to these finals 😯 how bizarre
I think some like Natalia Grossman and Brooke Raboutou didn’t come to this competition and instead opted to keep prepping and do the Salt Lake City comp instead
As mentioned by one of the commentators some climbers choose to compete in Salt Lake instead of China, so maybe some were there? Not sure who were the finalist in the previous cup.
Ah yes, makes sense I guess
Is Janja Garnbret human?
Janja seeing a paddle dyno:
- No, i don't think i will
Having Petra in the commentary booth is both the best and the worst, i was really hoping to see her in the final :((
"a zone in 9 and a top in 8"
How does that work? 😅
Score is based on number of tops, then zones, top attempts and zone attempts. On the last boulder they calculated what score she would hypothetically need to reach a certain placement. If she had completed the boulder in 8 or less attempts she would have placed first and if she had gotten the zone hold in 9 attempts she would be on the podium (provisionally).
SPOILER BAR

That Lucy Liu comment... *sigh*
얀야는 이제 남성부 경기로…
I can't stand the cuts, where can I find the original version, plEASE😱
Seeing Janja so far away from the entire rest of the womans field, i wonder how well she does on these newer superhard boulders like burden of dreams and the like. Or how she would do in the mens competition. Clearly the womens comp is not really a competition at this point.
The female commentator calling Zhilu "Lucy Liu" is racist ngl.
Yeah didn’t like this at all :( shouldn’t be hard to learn how to correctly pronounce names
also saying that while commentating on their home arena? what a low kind of thing to do.
It’s also just disrespectful lol learn to pronounce it
You brain is full of bullshit about racism.
to be fair it is an easier way to say "lou zhilu" so they're not just making up an easier name to say
