That is true though for some in Hong Kong. There are many people here living in rooms that contain only a bed, need to share toilets with 10 others. You need to pay at least 5000 HKD to live in those 'cages' which is the minimal wage in HK!!! That is pretty insane if you think of it.

America needs to take notes, this actually helps prevent mass incarceration
Problem is that US has so mich problems from systemic racism to inequality, low quality of life, homelessness and poverty that results in overcrowded prisons with brutal criminals. US needs to fix so many things from mental health care to systemic racism before trying to make hotel prisons. These luxury prisons in europe were also mostly empty so it shows that their countries has lower crime rates and thus can afford to build prisons lile this. In US, the prisons are so crowded that US would need to spend trillions if not more to build prisons like the ones in europe.
I've never been in jail or prison but that may end if they make prisons like this. I will try my hardest to get 3 life sentences. 😊

what prisons are know as today is a cage, bad food & harsh punishments; usually people come out of prison more fucked up than they were before.
eventhough I believe a murder deserves harsh punishments, I think pepole that stole or did illegal drugs should be put in a place that's friendly, so they can learn from their bad doings therapeutically, such as a nice room but still have a gate and locked doors so they can't escape till they are well.

To people who think it's a nice place. It looks nice, but you can always leave your house, make up your own routines, have beer or spliff whenever you want and basically do anything you want. This is not the case in any prison, no matter what standard it has. I never been to prison, nor jailed, but I've spent a year in hospital - where I could legally sign out and go (and die, but that's another thing). The level of freedom incomparably higher than prison and yet it took its toll on my mind and I'm still fighting to come to terms with this dark year.
