I just bought the game yesterday this video was very insightful. Thank you very much !
Enjoy the game :)
Let the salt flow through you it is inevitable and eventually will become your friend.
Ive been playing since tekken 1, maimed hwoarang since tekken 3 but this last 2 months is the first time I’ve ever tried to properly learn tekken past just learning the moves and beating my friends that barely know the moves.
I stubbornly didnt bother juggling because i come from street fighter and saw it as unsportsmanlike now i realise how stubborn i was… THATS THE GAME!
Been smashing through ranked and player matches getting beat a lot found a sticky point within green ranks and have focused on my fundamentals since ive not had internet these past 2 weeks I just hammered treasure mode using it to learn launch punishes, spacing and optimal juggle combos and wall splat combos. Im not god prime (on treasure mode) looking forward to going back online and realising just how little grinding treasure match has helped me 😅 ideally I’d like to reach warrior first week back online 😬 but the salt might have other ideas for me.
Fired up your og guide when I first got the game (season 2), this new one's even cleaner in covering all of the updates and I still learned a few new things about throw counters, ground throws and wall combo tips. Killer content as always King!
Nice work. simple and direct, a helpful refresher for me! Looking forward to more tekken 8 content as well.
Thank you!
Appreciate your work here!I just began learning T7 recently and found this 😂
Good editing. Good video. Getting better bro keep on !
Great video, concise and easy to understand
Thanks for this tutorial. I bought tekken 7 about 4 days ago and these tutorials really helped me get to warrior rank. Very fun game to get better at.
Enjoy Tekken!
lol
I'm planning on getting Tekken 7 soon, so this guide helps a lot!
I was inspired by combo breaker and started playing tekken, thank you for the video man.
I just bought Tekken 7 and I never played it competitively or seriously. My last Tekken game was 4 so I’m a bit rusty. This helps, thank you!
coming from mortal kombat this shit seems way more complicated thanks for the info 🙌🏻
Got into tellen for the story and fun characters, but just yesterday i picked up my first game in the series. Was very confused, but going very well now, thanks, gods work👍
Let’s gooo💪🏾
Kinda weird seeing this now honestly but I get it.
Awesome as always man, keep it up.
People may want to get into Tekken 7 while waiting for Tekken 8.
@@KingJaeTV oh yeah no I get it, can’t ever have too many people playing Tekken . Lol the more the better.
Thank you king Jae for this guide this helps alot its been almost 3 years since I played tekken 7 and the best place to start is with basics.
Thanks!!
GOOD VIDEO‼️ Thanks for sharing this info 💯
Thank you for putting this together! The Tekken 8 hype brought me back into 7 after not playing for a while, so this was well needed!
can you do something similar for street fighter 6 when it comes out. That would be sick. Your beginner guides have always been sick and easy to follow.
Will be tons of guides for SF6 when the game comes out!
@@KingJaeTV appreciate that bro. Looking forward to it!
Thanks, looking to get more in Tekken rn. Almost never touched it after copping
as i’m on controller should i be using the D pad for movement and the arrows in combos or should i be using the stick ?
i honestly want a high level advanced strategy guide
Thanks for sharing bro
Thank you for this video i recently picked tekken up again after my sister gave me her old psp and she has tekken dr and i have forgotten the fundementals
What’s up King Jae do you think you’ll do an updated Leroy Tutorial for players that would like to use Him in time for T8 ?
Thanks just picked this game up, newbie
hi, im new to tekken, to break throws you said the defense players needs to press 1 or 2 or 1+2
those are 3 possible options or 2?
i mean, theres throws that can only be tech with 1? others with 2? and others with 1+2? or "1 or 2" is a single option? (press eighter of those)?
i came from 2d fighters and so far tekken is by far the most complex game i ever played in general 😵💫
there's TOOOMANY STUFF and im feeling very overwhelmed rn
I also wanna try this game out. I hope this helps!
13:55 "The only throws that can't be broken are back throws."
I know you're simplifying on purpose, but it might've been better to say "There are some other throws which can't be broken, but not too many and so that's not important right now." Just my 2 cents.
Excellent video, S+, looking forward to more!
Dope video bro 🙏🏼
Thanks brother ❤
Good guide, mate. Just missing frame data but otherwise very insightful
THX you.
🔥🔥🔥
will these tips help for tekken 8?
Before I watch this video:
Would you say that this video is also a good introduction to Tekken 8? Are 7 and 8 similar enough in that regard?
I've been playing Street Fighter 6 and I used to play a little bit of MK11, which was my first fighting game - and Tekken 8 feels really alien. The movement is different. The pokes and hitconfirms feel different. Sometimes I get hit on the ground and have no idea when I'll be able to stand up. It just doesn't feel like... a regular fighting game, you know? I guess it didn't make click just yet.
Tekken 8 is more or less the same as Tekken 7 but they added quite a few things which I also have not yet tried. Some characters are good at poking you when your character is down, it all really depends who you're up against tbh, sometimes you dont want to instantly stand up, sometimes you can just press Down + X to roll sideways & stand up. I played tekken back in the day and I just recently got back into it too and trust me it took me a while to get go against all the character. I thought I knew everything and jumped straight into ranked online. Got into like warrior ranked and stucked there cause my knowlegde was limited. Had to go into practice to learn wall combos, poke, poke while enemy is down, moves range, when to punish etc etc. Non the less, couldn't say much about SF6 or MK cause I don't really play those much. Tekken have been my favourite since I was a kid.
The real Tekken 8 tutorial.
What's the button notation for the ⭐ in the move list? Like what do you press on the controller
it means "neutral" if you are still looking for this answer. As in no inputs, stop moving the stick for a split second, etc.
just bought this game from steam. wish me lucc
Sup kinjae u still playing giga?
I just bought the game but i'm just going to start ranked matches and see what happens
yea don’t do that practice a lot offline on hard before you do because the players online will discourage you very quickly 😂
You know you can just go to unranked matches right
14:19 You forget Nina has these also. Not on same level as king. It's a lot of stuff you leaving out. But I understand what your trying to do. Rock on!
I'm not about to cram in everything into a beginner guide. I have my reasons for leaving some stuff out.
Yesterday i saw tekken 7 listed for £14 on sale. This is the final ultimate ultimate edition with all characters and dlc. I thought, should I? Should I? I thought 14 quid is a great price for a finished game that took like 8 years to make. But then I thought about the loading times and said "Harada, you're not getting my money to spend on your bar". I'll wait another 8 years for tekken 8 to be developed and then see what he wants to charge. So I bus on virtua fighter 5 for the first time instead. I think tekken is too hard for beginners. Tried ea's fight night 2004 this year and we rinsed it solid for about 5 months. That was fun fun fun. Stay blessed Jae
Play Gouki(a.k.a Akuma).
20:19 is that how sex works?
Great Vid pal!
should i get tekken 7?
Marduk has no chainthrow. Annagang and ninagang has them.
It would be awesome if the game had a feature where they... idk... taught you the basics. But nope, I guess you're expected to learn by just pressing random buttons
What about an intermediate guide ( much love doe ❤ )
Why do you talk About 2 characters mecanics in first for a TEKKEN betinner guide ?
Huh?
He’s just using Kazuya and Akuma as examples to show how the Rage system and characters with meter work
First point was about movement , why was the second point about meter??
Because it is important to people to understand that these set of characters are not the same. There is timestamps if you don't want to know.
@@KingJaeTV sn
@@KingJaeTV fair enough but putting it as the second point seems off imo . There’s plenty of more important stuff to put before ; punishments
@@CGM_Raiden Punishment is not important in a BEGINNER guide. These things are more intermediate. I put 2D stuff in because they are unique and different. There is a whole timestamp if you do not like a section.
I didn't understand a single fucking thing this game is , just hard to understand
Man, I wish I wasn’t perpetually broke so I could buy a PS5 and pick Tekken up again.
The itch gets so bad.
