    Today I take the long awaited step to finish the Dyno Tune on my 04 IS300. The car has a CxRacing Turbo Kit with a Tial wastegate, AEM Infinity, DW injectors and Fuel Pump. Big shout out to Jamie and Brent at PFI for the great service and Tune.

    What an awesome video and experience. Goes to show if you do things right you don't have to change out every single part and have your car turn into a garbage disposal for your paychecks and time. Also those guys tuning your car are extremely legit I've seen and heard of them before. I have an 02 it's an automatic and still debating wether I want to do the manual swap or not because the cost of the turbo and everything else needed, but more importantly I heard the autos can handle the turbo a little better. Still nothing beats driving a stick. Gonna start making videos soon and hope to get the recognition you get someday! Thanks for the inspiration I'm gonna go the route you took it's the exact goal I have in mind. ✌

    I wonder if just a simple gte head gasket would help reliability. Stock its 10.5:1. I think if it was lowered too at least 9 or so it would probably take a ton of beating off the stock pistons and rods.
    Alot of people say the ring landings fail first on the stock ge, which is probably because of all that boost pressure trying to be compressed.

    • @Alexhernandez-ef8yd
      @Alexhernandez-ef8yd Před 5 lety

      Nope you would have to run more boost to make the same power. Then you would still end up with a bent rod.

    • @blu3flare25
      @blu3flare25 Před 5 lety

      @@Alexhernandez-ef8yd Yes but it would only lose around 10hp if it was reduced to 8.5:1. Yet it would still take some of the pressure off the GE pistons and rods. Definatly worth it on a stock motor

    • @Alexhernandez-ef8yd
      @Alexhernandez-ef8yd Před 5 lety

      Torque is what going to bend the rods so even lower compression it wouldn't matter. Even then you would make the car sluggish and laggy.

    • @blu3flare25
      @blu3flare25 Před 5 lety

      @@Alexhernandez-ef8yd Alex hernandez Its mainly the ring landings that fail on the stock GE. Because of high cylinder pressure, detonation or preignition. Those things can be reduced by a lower CR. Bottom line is 10.5:1 is high for a 2JZ-GE Na-T with the stock internals. The 2JZ-GTE has a bullet proof reputation because of its 8.5:1 CR and stronger internals. It works good for the GTE and will work good for the GE.

      @@blu3flare25 have you compared the rods from a 2jzge vvti to any other 2jzge or 2jzgte? They are way thinner....... then the 2jzge vvti head and 2jzgte head are different so using the 2jzgte headgasket isn't going to give you the same squish.
