Very melodic verses by one of the R&B/Funk G.O.A.T.s!....Anytime you hear artists (Cameo, The Commodores, etc) or actors (Proud Family, Martin, etc) say "Oww!" or "Oww girl!", they all got it from Ohio Player's lead singer (Leroy "Sugarfoot" Bonner) RIP.....Good reaction!
I was a kid when this came out. Scraped some pennies and bought the album. My mother saw the album and lost her mind. She told me to put the album in the outside garbage. She thought it was porn. I kept the recording but had to throw out the album cover. Those were different times -lol
@@themajicman745 I like Together and the last song on the album called Together Feelings. I know all the Ohio Players songs. It's all over is another great song.
The album cuts give you a more complete and robust experience of the song. Here are a few to listen to from the Ohio Players that will get you rocking in your chair. FIRE, because it has two guitar solos and more energy. SMOKE, because of its comedic delivery and funky best, enhanced by their trademark horns. WHO'D SHE COO? because it's just a good record. As for the meaning of the song, there is only one thing these guys refer to as a Sweet Sticky Thing on a woman. I mean, c'mon, it was the 197o's afterall. And the Ohio Player's biggest hit, LOVE ROLLERCOASTER. Remember, the album cuts for this band are the essential ones to listen to and enjoy.
This is a sexy and seductive tune! I guess sometime back in the past, people used to get down while songs like this were playing on their record players or their radios! I heard they poured hot and sticky honey 🍯 on the model for the cover to this album! To answer your question, I believe the song is about a sexy young thing, and the singer is singing her praises! Pretty groovy, cool and 🔥 fire at the same time! So long!
You look like a "Sweet, Sticky Thing"! Keep the music alive young lady@ @@@*** Sembene Nathanyahu author and creator of the upcoming bestseller, "Whisper's Getting Louder", in Chicago. ***@@@
One of the best Rn B groups of all time.

Hottest album cover EVER!!!!!
This song has always been a perfect example of what I call ‘night time driving music’ - especially during warm weather months with the windows down. 😎
The guitar that started at 1:53 made me think of Strawberry Letter 23.
I always loved their smooth jazzy sounding funk! Check out their cult hit "Funky Worm" Their biggest hits were "Fire" and "Love Roller Coaster"
Funky Worm is ILL
Don't forget Let's Love
@@richiec.7637 I bet you don't remember "Together" and you might remember "Do the Hoochie Coo"

@@majr6852 long version or album version has that cool ending
As a kid, I really enjoyed their album covers.
put the long version in your phone
When you go with the Solid Gold version they cut 2-4 off their hits
You need the album version
The funk is definitely appreciated. Thanks for reacting to this jam . Continue to R.I.P Sugarfoot❤

My cousin introduced me to this song when I was 11. More popular “Fire” and “Love Roller Coaster”.

I remember it well; a very cool song, then and now. Very musical and soothing.
HI Ms. D., Ohio Players have more songs that I am familiar with and I like them more.. ♠Mr.G..
Oh those horns. One of their jazzier tunes. But my favorite will always be Ecstasy.
Reminds me Earth, Wind and Fire groove
