    Hello! I just started watching you and you are so helpful! I have had a normal female for 7 years now and I decided to get me a male and breed her. I found a gorgeous Hypo Enchi Pewter 6 year old male! He looks just like a bamboo! I was going to pair them up in October, but they were both showing signs of wanting to breed so I paired them and got my first lock!
    Edit! My goal is to one day breed a scaleless queen bee pied! I have a long way to go!

    I just got my 1st clown clutch laid on the 4th of July! It also happens to be my 1st clutch ever! I've been watching your videos to make sure I'm doing it right. Female is a regular clown like yours and male has the acid gene.

    That's an enchi clown. One of my I had two of my female clowns slug out this year as well. Only 3 and 1 good egg out of both clutches were viable. Waiting for them to hatch at the end of the month.

    Nice Enchi Clown Chris! If you only got one egg at least it's a female Enchi Clown you can do great things with that female!

    I like Moma Bambi. Pasta has wonderful pattern as well. A female Enchi Clown is a nice result from this breeding.

    What do you do with a snake that comes out with some kinking? Just sell them cheaper?

    • @shackledtext2391
      @shackledtext2391 Před 2 lety

      Depending I think they might dispatch them. This is just my thought. No fact

    • @chrisadkins5180
      @chrisadkins5180 Před 2 lety

      If the snake has kinking but can otherwise live a good life and thrive, they are sold as "pet only". Thriving in this case means being able to eat and pass waste without causing any major issues or dysfunction. You have to take into account the snakes suffering in these cases. Lots of time if it's just a tail kink they can live happily. If it's any higher than the cloaca, well...it may be better to cull. Sadly.

    Was thinking about mold in the incubator what about light ? I see alot of glass front or just alot of ambient light getting to the eggs. I am using a cooler it is completely dark all the time and im not having any mold ,but its my first clutch and i think you said you didnt have any to start. Just a thought .

    Sorry my ignorance but I though clown x clown couldn't make a visual clown 🤔

    • @michaelpryor78
      @michaelpryor78 Před 2 lety +1

      Clown x clown will always make a clown. Clown is recessive, which means that all visual clowns have two copies of the gene. To compare this to co-dominant genes, two copies will make the "super" form of said gene. If you breed two super pastels together, everything you'll get is super pastel. If you breed two clowns together, everything you'll get is clown. A great way to get a better understanding of how this all works is to play around with Morphmarket's ball python morph calculator.

      His banana is a male maker so since there is no banana in the baby there is no way its a male
