He's waited 23 years to tell Olivia that he loves her. He knew from the first moment he met her. And he struggled with it every day.
And she was waiting for these three words he would never say to her because he was married.
now that kathy died they are showing his obviously deep feelings for her, they show more feelings from him than from olivia. But i also think she can't show this feelings because he hurt her so much by leaving and she is still struggling if she can trust him. But if someone says something bad about him (like rollins in the last crossover) she has no choice to defend him.
I know it is too soon after kathy, olivia still don't trust him again, he still struggels with his mental state but they have still the chemistry to act on their feelings. But if they tease as 23 years and and never act on it, why should it change suddenly?

Well it's basically been confirmed that Wolf doesn't want these two as a couple, and neither do the writers. ☹️😭 They need to stop with the hardcore teasing. That voicemail scene! ❤️ I think he was gonna say, "I think you know what I meant.." meaning he was gonna say he meant he loved his kids, and loved Olivia as a friend. I'm glad they are finally going in the direction were Elliot finally admits his feelings for Olivia, even though he is struggling with it, but slowly slowly admitting it to himself. Which, I can understand, considering Kathy's death and all. Olivia has feelings for Elliot too, it's just she's more bad assy, and obviously not letting those type of feelings show. They'll never put Elliot and Olivia together, but yet they can put Rollins and Carisi together?!?!? Really?!?! Those two have no chemistry, what so ever, in my opinion. Killi actually stated in an interview that it was like kissing your brother. 🤣 We Bensler shippers will obviously never get what we want, which is major bullsh*t. Am I the only one debating on whether or not to stop watching both shows, because they will obviously never put Elliot and Olivia together? No they aren't the only reason I watch, but I mean, they aren't gonna be put together as a couple, and never will be. Wolf seriously needs to stop trolling the fans that actually want this. I honestly don't understand why they won't put Elliot and Olivia together as a couple, but yet they can pair Rollins with Carisi? Am I the only one sad about this?
I agree…I don’t get the hype for rollisi? And I think Carisi deserves better than Amanda tbh.
I’m always Stan Bensler…I think they’ll wait until last couple of episodes of the show and rush their relationship for the series finale.
Agreed, they will never give us Bensler, in my opinion they put Rollins and Carisi together to not loose all viewers. They are teasing Bensler supporters so they won’t stop watching but we all know, it’s not going to happen. I stopped watching by the way, I just watch little clips here and there on CZcams 😝

THE challenge for the shows writers and directors is to keep them interesting, amazing and independent while together!!!
That is a much bigger challenge for a TV show then the will they won't they scenario that every TV shows plays with!
A lot of tv shows lose viewers when they pair a famous will they won't they couple but this TV show has proven to be unique and solid. (23 seasons anyone?)
So why not take the challenge and proof to everyone that with the right approach and talent, it could only make a show better!!!

I always thought I wanted them together but I am so on the fence about it now. Idk why but something is different about Elliot now maybe it’s just how much he has been through. I think they should introduce a bee love interest character for Liv and see what happens then: it’s been too long since she has really had someone in her life. I’m going to be public enemy #1 when I say this but Cassidy was one of my fav men in her life lol I really think he genuinely loved her even though he was kind of an ass. Ugh why do these fictional characters cause me stress lol
