the way i understand it, Alex was in fact being wholesome and stated that Adesanya, by saying on some interview "Pereira is that one guy that never forgets to mention that he knocked me out years ago whenever he is out drinking in some bar", insipred him to come out from his dark place and keep training, and essentially this is what got him in the UFC. And now he feels like Adesanya himself is in the dark place, feeling off, and he thinks by taking such a big break Adesanya will just waste the great talent that he's got.
