All packed up for my next trip and wanted to do a gear loadout for this adventure so as not to take away from the actual trip video.I am trying out a few new gear items this year so hope you like the video and as always if you like this kind of thing remember to Like-Share and Subscribe for more -the season is just getting started -thanks everyone!
Turd shaped Cliff bars? You’re killing me!!!! My sentiments exactly.
Excellent video Doug thank you for showing us your gear that you're going to be using on this 3-day trip
Can't wait to see that video
Sweet! A fresh Doug video to start the morning off with! Thanks Doug!
Woo! Woo! Doug back outside. Have a safe trip.
Nobody else can talk about their hobby and still look absolutely furious about it, better than you Doug.
You're the Old man Marley of backpacking. Love your videos. You inspire me to live a better life, outside.
Oh, so looking forward to seeing your trip! Thanks for all the information and showing us what you use. All the best!
Have fun on your trip Doug...I look forward to watching it!!
Thanks for your tips on canoe preping. It's always good to come back to your channel and meet your dudecraft approach. Bon voyage !
Hope your currently having an epic time. Awesome Doug!! Looking forward to watching.
Awesome! Have a safe trip, can't wait to see the videos.
Have fun and enjoy Doug!
Great video and good insight in what to bring. Went portaging last summer for the first time in algonquin. Used the same gear we used as trail hiking with an aluminium canoe since a guy backed out and its all they had left. Planning a trip up in killarney this year and this helps to better optimise my gear loadout
Lovely to see your face again Doug! Have fun on your trip! If you can't be good.........be good at it! Lynn XXX
Can’t wait to see who your going with Doug! Dig all the videos and looking forward to the next one. Be safe

Oh my gash I'm going to greatly enjoy this. Appreciate the separate load out Doug, Excellent way of putting the Video together. .. Outstanding buddy, .. OH BOY!
Good stuff! Got myself a light weight chair a few month ago & I LOVE it! It has a higher backrest & allows for that extra ahhhh...
Looking forward to the trip vid!
Hey Doug, thanks for the informative video, hope you have a great trip. Look forward to seeing the video. That's one awesome canoe for one person. Never knew they even existed until I seen you and Joe's Algonquin trip video. I've been wanting a canoe for about thirty years now. I've been on many canoe trips with friends but always rented. Have to look up that Swift brand, afraid of what the cost might be though..only 26 lbs.! awesome. Hopefully they are available here in the U.S. also. Have a safe trip and thanks for sharing your load out with us.
Love it. Enjoy the trip. Jealous of the light canoe. Mines anything but light.
Doug sir, you have a beautiful place. I can’t wait to see the video of the trip. 🛶🔥⛺️👍🎣
Glad to see you getting back out there guy!
Nice load out Doug. I always overpack. lol I really enjoy these videos. Helps me get my gear right.
Good gear video. Looking forward to the full trip. I am heading out myself for a few days to some woods north of the Twin Cities. I need a few days outside. That said, I am usually inspired to go after watching your videos.

Thanks for sharing. I love those kind of videos. Just finished a 3day trip at Prince Albert National Park in SK with friends. Got the same canoe. Love it. Helinox chair didn’t work for me. We got Sand and it sunk in. I think they offer other feet for Sand now. Please do a lot more of those videos. 👍👍👍
Enjoy your trip. Sounds like it should be fun.
Good job with your reasons why.....thoroughly enjoyed!
Fantastic idea need to do that one more time in my life enjoy yourself and I’ll wait on the video
I enjoy all of your videos, can't wait for the trip videos.
Have fun my man, looks like you got it all planned out
Looking forward to the trip, Doug!
Great vid. I am always curious to see what people are carrying for their solo canoe trips. I just got back a couple weeks ago from a solo BWCA trip... just a little warmer than I thought it would be but really it was perfect weather and no bugs yet. Used a Nova Craft Pal, tandem... I had two packs with me and mostly base camped, staying at two different campsites only. I did bring in more stuff than was needed, but since I was base camping and the portages were short, I opted to bring in some extra luxury items. My next trip I think is going to be a river trip down the Namekagon into the St Croix River (US National Park) and I for sure am going to be packing light.
I'm stuck here working but really looking forward to seeing you cook up some trout! Hope you have a great time and can avoid those darn flies. :)
Look forward to seeing you outside again. Bon voyage !
Have a good trip. You do the stuff I love to do. love the video's
Went on a back pack with my Helinox and it got a lot of looks. On my next back pack there were four others! Great chair!

Hey Doug, new subscriber here.
Found you through Joe. Looking forward to viewing your adventures.
Put the thing inside the thing to protect the thing.... you rock doug
Nice simple load out. The only other item I always take along with me is rather unique to me. I take a small battery operated all band Amateur Radio and wire antenna, with a solar panel recharger. Total weight is just of 1 Kg, and I talk to people around the world with it while in the back country. Have lots of fun, and I look forward to watching your video log of the adventure.
awsome vid doug cant wait ta see some of the trip !!!
Nice load-out! Can’t wait the see the band back together in Algonquin!
Great video!!, thank you! Hope you have a wonderful trip!!
Great video. As an incurable double portager, I am always very curious to see just exactly what gear single carriers bring. The GB axe surprised me, but the expresso machine impressed me!
Have a great time Doug! I wish I was at Algonquin myself right about now. Say hi to the black flies for me Lol!
Good light kit Doug. Hope your trip was a good one, and the fish were biting!
awesome Doug, cheers mate, enjoyed that
Hope you have a fun trip safe journey.
Man that canoe is the bee's knees. Thanks for sharing. :)
Totally jealous Doug! Enjoy!

Cool video. Have a safe and enjoyable trip!
Safe Paddeling Doug ! Good Load-Out Lookin forward to the next post ATB Ter God Bless
Thanks for sharing, Doug.
Can’t wait for the trip video!
Been watching your videos lately. I know they were made a while ago but did want to mention that I think you do a great job. Very thorough and concise. Surprised in this one not to see any carving stuff. By the way I carve myself. I was wondering if you ever tried carving PVC. The big box stores sell it and I find it carves beautifully. I know your a wood guy but it's like this stuff was made for carving. I have seen you carve golf balls so you have gone out of the box before. If you do try it please make a video.
Phil
Doug outside is outside thanks a lot for the great video
Can’t wait to see, what your next video looks like
Doug! Your doing a Joe!!
Lol, dumping gear everywhere!!
So Glad to See More Of Your Adventures! Hope your trip was awsome as we watching ONTARIO is under major Rain/ Thunder/Tornado Warnings !
Stay safe !Thank you
Have you tried hammock camping? I have been using a Hennesy Hammock for years. My back was was so bad that I thought my days of camping were over. I started using a hammock and I couldn't believe how good I felt in the morning. It was the first time I got a full nights sleep, in 10+ years, since I broke my back. I have since got a hammock stand to sleep in at home. This allowed me to start working again. I don't take any medications for my back anymore either. The hammock completely changed my life. A selling point for you is the size and weight of it. Look into the OneTigris. It is a cheap option to try hammock camping. Have a great trip.
Enjoyed the gear loadout video Doug. Hope the black fly's don't eat you guys up on this trip. Honestly, I had no idea what black fly's were, I've never seen any, but they look pretty pesky. Will be anxious to see the video when you return. Have fun and be safe.
Wish I was going. Have fun, be safe.
Bet Barney is on the canoe trip, looks like it's going to be a good time.
Also interested to see how the coffee maker works been looking at several similar. I once in a while may have a beer but I love good coffee and especially enjoy it while hiking or camping.
Enjoy your trip, stay safe
looking forward to the trip vid! nice gear vid sir
Hey bud, I don't really know much about you. Found out about you in a couple of Joe's videos. I just wanted to say I feel like the presence of God is so strong in your life. And I pray he blesses you with abundance in everything you do.
Hey doug it was a pleasure to meet you today at the saugeen river. Hope your portaging trip went well.
Felt like an idiot for not getting a picture with you today ha ha.
Look forward to your trip video.
What's in the jug? Olive oil? We always use the Quaker instant oatmeal multi packs. 2 packages per person. Also I like the GSI pour over coffee filter myself. Our tent for 4 guys is a walmart 6 man tent for 80$. It's an embarrassing thing. Big and heavy. Also we all love the Helinox chair ones as well. Doug outside is my new fave channel
Well done. Thanks for posting.
Doug , trying to catch up and looking forward to the trip vids.
can't wait for the trip vid!
Would like to see a camera gear load out for sure. Great video!
Hope you have a good trip
A zero degree summer bag. Wow that would be nice! I need an air conditioning bag down here in Alabama.
I use tje same MSR hubba and when im not using my eno hammock that is the tent i carry. I put a cancle lantern on ot on winter and ot actually helps keep ot warm and i do not have condensation. I use a western mountaineer ultra light bag year round ot is a 20° F bag and i just lay on top of ot onthe summer and o have two of the ultra lights so on cold cold i use both one onside the other an the weightan size of tjem is still lighter that ny other bags ive used.
Nice one Doug . Have fun catch a big one take care 🐡 .
