Bought them five months ago. To me the majority of the sounds are almost toy like BUT by tweaking the sounds on the kits I do like I absolutely love the Titan 70. One of the reasons I got them was from your reviews.
Awesome! See, you discovered why I don’t care to discuss sounds. You may not like them but with a little tweaking they’ll sound better. It’s more about the tech and ability of the drums. The T70 just stands out.
Amazing content bro, keep up the great work!!
Thanks bro
Thanks! I bought the 70 due to your vids love it.....Always use the great hall sound! Made a couple kits too! Run this through a power mixer and eq = amazing!
👍🏽 awesome
Appreciate your videos man! You are a big part of the reason I purchased the Titan 70. I was so close to getting the SD1250 just for the reason that its bigger.. but I said I'd rather go with something newer and I have been pretty happy overall with everything on the Titan 70. Just some fine tuning on the trigger settings and voila
Congrats and thanks for watching
Can you use the SD1250 snare drum on this brain? Bigger right?
My #1 hype-man friend! As I told you previously I bought a Titan 70 and it gets delivered tomorrow. I’m sitting here searching for a module tutorial and I can’t find anything. If you do a CZcams search for Simmons Titan 70, videos that you have produced make up no less than 60% of the results. It has me thinking that if you did a module tutorial just about everyone who bought a Titan 70 would click on that video, because you are clearly the king of the algorithm. That’s a good idea right? If you could knock that out tonight, it would be pretty convenient for me when I get my drums tomorrow.
😂😂😂 tonight. Wow, good thing I have nothing else to do. 😂😂😂 I think the module video would be great too… I will try and get to it. Gotta finish a couple videos first though. I’d advise using the app when you get it. In minutes you’ll see why.
Only 60% of the algorithm? I’m slacking!
Great videos! I just bought the Titan 70, and your reviews were the final push to go for it. Quick question: Do you have any suggestions on adjusting the hi-hat trigger(Close, Middle, Open)? I know that no e-kit hi-hat is perfect, but any ideas are well appreciated.
Love my Titan 50 and I think the sounds are good. I switched over to the jazz pack but would be great to mix from the 3 packs. Anyway hoping to try a T70 if I see one at GC
The T70 has all the packs
Hey! Love your videos.
I acquired what I believe is an older Alseis Nitro mesh (NOT max) for free. It's fine, but I really want more. I played in HS and haven't really played in 20 years.
My question is this. Is the Titan 70 enough of an upgrade over the Alseis Nitro mesh to be worth it, or should I save up and get something even better?
It seems that to be worth it, the next jump is much closer to 2,000 and into a Roland or similar. Feels hard to spend that much!
Got Titan 50 because of your reviews. TBH, I thought Simmons was trash until I tried the 50. I was impressed with the sound. At $349 new I thought I’d give it a go. It’s been awesome. Absolutely no issues.
A lot of people never give Simmons a shot… big miss. They’re really nice drums
Hey there love your videos! Can you tell me how much floor space this kit takes uP left to right in ft? Thanks!
4-5 ft
Keith I Would love to hear you review the brand new Donner Backbeat e-drumset. They claim it is made for stage. I can't find out info on the zones yet. Like the ride etc.
Well, if they ever decide to send one for me to review it’s on. Now, if they’re making a claim of stage worthiness then I wonder if they mean in comparison to an acoustic set?
@@KeithronPowell Lol, I don't know but they sound good but look great! The drums light up on the shells and drum heads via colored LED lights and turn off and on, blink etc. with your rolls. Also, you can change the colors of the drumshells via the lights to your liking. Hopefully, it's made for the stage because it's Good...rather than it's light show!?
For around $1,400. USD...it better be good IMHO!
@@Dale-wb9lz it’s $1499? I bet they won’t send it. 😂
My man, your passion is matched by NOBODY.
I finally ordered my Titan 70 kit thanks to your reviews, so if you're not employed by Simmons...you should at least be getting some commissions off of the amount of sales they've gotten just off your videos. I also just enjoy your content. Thanks for your time.
Did you use my links? I have affiliate links. If not send it back and use my links. 😂😂😂😂
@@KeithronPowell I did not, BUT only because I went through a different distributor that I deal with regularly and they also had a slightly better deal.
I was actually sort of shocked since it's a Guitar Center brand, but here we are.
@@KowProdMedia it’s all 👍🏽
I may do an unboxing/review video myself, be a little different than my normal videos 😂
Feel free to checkout some of my covers.
Keith question? Can I add another bass kick drum to this kit or just get a double pedal bass kicker for the single bass drum that comes with it?
I’m answering this question on my LIVE stream tonight.
It’s just a solid piece in its price range
👍🏽
If I could get cross sticking abilities on the snare as well as dual zones I would have no problems buying a titan 70 or whatever the next replacement for the 1250 will be. I don’t really care that much about drum sizes- but what I do care about are (cymbal and drum) articulations, hot spotting, and anti- crosstalk in between pads.
I am in full support of this comment! ☝🏽
Still sitting on titan50, but the next has to be acoustic! All the best
You have to get an acoustic! I miss playing mine but… I gotta do what I gotta do
Is it possible to put a hihat on a normal hihat stand that will work on the titan 70? Would love to see a video on it!!
It needs a trigger to function properly. You’d be better off buying a set up that is for electric drums so that it works. The Simmons hi hat wouldn’t benefit from being on a stand
Any idea why when playing music from my iPhone via bluetooth it sounds all staticky and I barely can turn the volume up on my phone because I wouldn’t be able to hear the drum sounds? Can you mess up the module by having the volume set too high early on? The first pair of headphones I was using were cheap and I kept the volume knob almost full most of the time..
Ok… I never have anything at FULL volume. I mean nothing! You can blow a headphone or an eardrum. It I would set the module at half and then slow work either the phone or the module to get a good sound. Then, of course, buy some good headphones. I’d spend no more than about $50-70. Now it is possible to buy a defective unit but it sounds to me like something else.
Well worth getting it… got mines 3 months ago if you don’t like the sounds which I don’t understand why… you can plug DAWS to it and be happy
True!
Had to return the titan 70 multiple snares and modules and cables and still couldn’t get the snare to sound consistently. Changed to the SD1250. Only thing I didn’t like about 1259 is I can’t expand it.
Yeah… it comes maxed. I think you just had a busted from the factory T70. It happens.
How's the hihats on this thing? I know it won't be as good as the higher end kits that have moving hihats on a separate stand, but I want to know if the hihat is at least better than the Nitro Max? The Alesis Nitro hihat pedal is so innacurate and has you have to be extremely precise with your foot pressure to change between closed and half-open. Drives me nuts.
I have two days left to return it and I'm thinking about doing that and getting this Simmons TD70 kit instead, but if the hihat isn't any better then I don't know if it'll be worth it, as I don't really have any other problems with the Nitro.
I think you’ll like it.
Those expansion slots can probably expand to 4 extra single zone triggers with splitter cables.
Not “probably,” they do. I explain that. I even split the kick drum.
Can you please share preset and global setting files? I have hard time to set it up sound like yours. Thank you
I really don’t even mess with them. Thats basically straight from the box and I use really nice headphones.
Love my Simmons SD1250 set but wish ALL of the toms were 10".
Agreed
I so want one however finding a retailer who stocks Titan seems impossible in my homeland, Australia
Man… maybe one day they’ll get some deals in ya area
I feel you
Broo can i buy this ? The product is Worth or not ? Please reply i want to buy ..
The link is in the description. You can order it now and have it shipped anywhere in the world.
We need a demo video with sound only
Been done…. Hardly no one watched it.

Dude, last I checked a few weeks ago the earliest delivery date for a new T-70 is APRIL
Also they raised the price $100.00 to try to tamp down demand that they can't satisfy.
It's frustrating.
I literally just left GC and they have them.
Anyone have problems getting audio from your iPhone through the app?
The app works great, but I cannot play along with anything via my phone. I can play along via my MacBook just fine, but not my phone at all
Make sure you connect… this will sound crazy. Connect via the app… then go to Bluetooth on your phone and connect the phone. You’ll be able to play the way you want
Yeah, I definitely did that. I can do everything else with the app (switch kits/ edit kits etc), but I can’t get music to play through it via my phone. IDK 🤷♂️
You can’t use the sd1250 snare on any other drum… the only way is if you also swap the wiring because the connector on the snare is different.
I’m not sure the cable will work… 🤔 something else for a video.
Iam interested interested he gave away contest.
I enjoy all of your comments this is my first time that I have viewed your program.

Sd1250 just went down substantially…wonder if we are getting close to its’ replacement
By blasphemy! 😂😂😂
@@KeithronPowell down in price is what I meant to say! It’s 899 now… 👀
@@tonzokinawa lol…. I was saying “replacement” is blasphemy. 😂😂😂
@@KeithronPowell ah fair! I mean…if it’s just like the sd1250 with a new module and more flexible cymbal placement then I’m in!
I have no idea at all. I don’t work for them so i don’t get inside info like that.
Finally played one in the store. It is really cheaply built. The rims are hard plastic and won’t last long. I had high hopes but did the smart thing and bought a set of used Rolands. Simply no comparison.
😂😂😂 they’re made from much of the same materials… just painted black. Now, in your defense, 99% of the stores barely set them up properly. I just left GC today and the Roland and Alesis Strike Pro were set up perfectly - with precision. The SD1250 and Titan 70 were leaning and loose. If I sat on one I’d think it was trash.
What is true ? You get paid ? You get free gear ?
I don’t get paid… I get sent gear to review. Thats a standard practice for companies in any arena to send product for review.
@@KeithronPowell for free, right ? I am Derek Zoo, btw
@@MrBeen992 oh wow… what’s up bro! Yes, of course for free. I get Simmons, Alesis, Fesley, Donner. I’m waiting on other brands as well. You can say that the drums are payment but let’s be honest I can only play one at a time and I still favor the SD1250 over all. If I ever switch it’s between the Alesis Crimson 2 or the Titan 70.
@@KeithronPowell all good, my friend. I wish I had as much space as you.
@@MrBeen992 bro… I’ve put about 4 drums in storage. I am out of space
i got one from guitar center its terrible snare and bass does not work
Swap it for another one.
