I also had an issue with Coup De Grace evolution when i try going into multi member parties. it would cause very serious problems that would cause me or other members of the party to disconnect constantly. I was going to ask if you had this issue. I think this was before the last update maybe, but i haven't tried it since. I wasn't aware of the other coup de grace issue with the multi shot. I think that evolution is just messed up from the sound of things.
