30 Rock Synopsis: Emmy®-winner Tina Fey writes, executive produces and stars as writer Liz Lemon in 30 Rock, an irreverent, wildly funny, Emmy®-winning workplace comedy set behind-the-scenes of a live variety show. The series is told through the comedic voice of Fey and features the inimitable and Emmy®-winning Alec Baldwin as Jack Donaghy, the brash network executive who turns Liz's show (and life) upside down with his meddling ways. Set in New York City, 30 Rock also stars Tracy Morgan, Jane Krakowski, Scott Adsit, and Jack McBrayer, and boasts a cavalcade of guest appearances from some of the most respected and recognizable faces in comedy.

"Comedy lives in the wide shot" is something I genuinely learned from 30 Rock.
"Tracey Jordan. Saying three serious things, and then a joke" great line
Expand on that.
The squeaky fromme bit can't be underrated if its been living in my head rent free for the past 5 years.
That sounds…. difficult.
Everything about it is perfection
I often quote that, randomly during the day. And not even to other people, I just say it to myself. It is...difficult.
same lol
Oh it's still underrated because it can never be rated highly enough.
Also I love that Dr. Spaceman definitely drank some of Tracy's blood
'But my commander refused to pass it on up to Saddam'. Lol, Dr Spaceman.
Jerry had such a wild life in this universe.
I am the proud owner of the 'Welcome back to Stone Mountain High Alumni' banner from the first clip - love that ep and bought it at an auction a few years back 😂
Jelly!!
How cool !!
That flag is an heirloom now!
WHATTTTTT
That's pretty awesome
“You’re seeing another psychic?! I mean,I knew that 😂😂😂
“Cool Runnings, bobsled!” 😂
The way she drops the phone haha
Pete at his most bored holding an intervention for Jenna is one of my favorite scenes.
The Saddam joke is my all-time fave from Dr. Spaceman
Almost every Dr. Spaceman joke is gold.
"Now, I've already administered the epidural. Would you like one too?"
"...but we have no way of knowing *where* the heart is. You see, every human is different."
"Tracy, I don't know how to say this. Di-a-buh-tees?"
@@cranapple3367 "You know it's crazy to think we used to settle questions of paternity by dunking a woman's head underwater until she admitted she made it all up. Ah, different times, the 60s"
@@cranapple3367 "Now in layman's terms, what d'ya think that means?"
Someone did the math and apparently 30 rock delivered more jokes per minute than any other show.
I am Dutch, so for me English is my second language and the first time watching the Slingblade joke I only got one of the 3 jokes 😂😂 its been very rewarding going back now that my English has improved. Definitely my favourite comedy show :)
😀😀😀😀😀👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
Even Community?
I’ve always heard Arrested Development was the show with the most jokes per minute
I would put Angie Tribeca up against that
"I'm not an expert, but I DO have a strong opinion!" is basically the tagline for Twitter 😂
Correct!!
The first clip and every bit of Kenneth’s back story is my favorite gag of the story
He was written mostly by Donald Glover because he’s from Georgia like Kenneth
I've never noticed this scene despite seeing that episode so many times
My favorite Kenneth joke is when he's asked, "Kenneth, what's wrong with you?!"
He replies, "well, technically my parents are brothers."
Holy hell, THAT gets me every time.
Who said Kenneth's been alive forever!?!
I love picturing the writers room saying, "Ok, whats the worst place to get your first period?"
I had a visceral reaction to that line.
“Weakness?”
“You. Out. Fired.”
that's a keeper.
One of the most "should have left it in" deleted scenes is the one where that guy who is one of the three potential fathers for Jack recognizes Kenneth from his platoon.
„More Business Juice please!“ is my favourite
How have I never noticed they move from the close-up to the wide shot in that scene
I'm STILL upset about how underrated this entire show is.
I fall asleep to this show every single night. It's my comfort blanket until the end of time.
30 rock has 16 emmy wins, its definetely not underrated
You are young, yes? This show RULED when it was on tv.
@@Cactina Definitely wouldn’t call myself young. But 30 Rock has never ruled TV, specifically on NBC during that comedy block that that ran for two hours that also gave us Community, and Parks and Recs. Those honors of ruling NBC during that time belongs to the Office. The Office did fairly well with critics (not as well as 30 Rock), but they dominated in viewership. Hell, even Tiny Fey said on the series finale, when the entire cast was saying their goodbyes to us “…not a lot of people watched, the joke’s on them.”
@@Gabs.q I was referring to the low viewership compared to the Office. Even Tina Fey even mentioned it in the series finale about how not many people watched them, but the joke was on them.
"Hair movement is a sign of weakness" 😂
underrated 30 rock moments = all 30 rock moments
"Fatwa, credit card debt, wanted by the Yakuza" is a great trio of jokes, too.
My favorite is S5ep1 when Tracy says to Kenneth, "why don't you come back home to TGS and pick the peas out of my fried rice? And the rice. I just want carrots."
Nobody ever follows up the Jamaican nurse answering the phone saying "thank you, cool runnings bobsled"
Never noticed that "Page Against the Machine" sign before. Solid.
Your blood tastes like root beer 🤣
Peter Frampton is here giving enigmatic clues about a buried treasure
My favorite is the episode when Jack tries to buy Nancy's house in Boston and he sends in Kenneth and Cerie and they have the weirdest disguises it's so funny bro
I looked up Hepatitis D to find out if it's real and it is. And it can only survive if someone also has Hepatitis B. So Jenna has Hep B as well
And that's what makes her a star.
For context, Kenneth is from Stone Mountain, GA, which is over 85% black 😂
😮
and where Donald Glover is from! i think some people might assume that he mostly wrote for Toofer but he has way more in common with Kenneth donald came up with alot of his weirder character stuff and loads of his background is based on donalds life
@@jasonhaiad and Jack McBrayer is also from Georgia!
Show is immaculate and immortal
Just like Kenneth Ellen Parcell.
It's a blessing and a purse
Her stomach repeting the foods name LOL
Such complex layering. Love this show.
you're going Irish!!!!
Jenna’s legitimate confusion when the mirror moves away was such a perfect comedic performance.
"It's a blessing and a purse" haha
The way Peter says to Jenna “everybody here loves you” is priceless 0 expressions 😂😂
Having a weird week, Tracey's delivery of 'and webisodes' was the only thing that made me lol. An enjoyable watch nonetheless.
Haha yessss that was brilliant.
"Expand on that."good old Larry.
Not even a full minute in, I'm choking laughing - blerg
"It rhymes with Hermit of Mink Hollow?"
A professional explanation from "Doctor" Spaceman is good for you; it keeps the spine straight.
0:35 I was wondering why his voice sounded so familiar, then I realized that's Jerry from Rick and Morty!
Also Cyril fron Archer.
@@cranapple3367 and Deathstroke the Terminator. He made it work.
Good god, Lemon 😂
Some of your bones seemed to have vanished.
Love this show forever😂😂
"We discussed this Elizabeth."
You say, "underrated moments" and then proceed to cut the bit about Tracey at his reunion! Easily one of my favorite gags from the entire series!
The limp 👍 👍 from Lemon and Jack 😂😂
Tracy on CNN is hilarious
You. Out . Fired. 🎉
Incredible video
Watching this show live was amazing, bc they made jokes about contemporary shows. Lost at some point aired on wednesday, and 30 aired on thursday. So that Lost joke landed hard.
30 Rock being the top most recommended thing to me by CZcams shows that Google has lost their mojo. I enjoyed this back in the day but no desire to retread in it's now murky Waters.
Knowing this was the absolute height of Tina fey's accomplishments rather than the dawn of a new phase, kind of takes some of the shine off it too
The dead eyed stares with those thumbs up, always made me smile
"My commander refused to pass it up to Saddam." lmfao
Passing on to Saddam hahahahahahha
Some of your bones have appeared to vanish.
Prophetic dialogue.
It's a blessing and a purse! Bahaha
Come on Kenmore washers and dryers!
WARNING: Some Paul Scheer content.
The way they tease Paul Scheer on HDTGM about his mom makes the "I breastfed until i was 11" joke even funnier.
Yes, Hornberger!
I like to think there are Castles in Arizona
Cool running man
Bobsleigh
“…Your blood tastes like root beer” I never caught that part. Like, how do you know that Dr. Spaceman? 😂
Has Kristen Schaal ever portrayed a sane person?
Does Mabel Pines count as sane? 😂
Louise Belcher is saner than all of us.
Did I hear right? It's a blessing and a purse? Hahaha.
Ace in the hole 😂
“I don’t know anything but I have strong opinions “ is my new mantra
Perfectly describes the current state of the world.
Also would be great tagline for Twitter! 😂
2:40 Your second first impression is one of the best bits from this show
Every moment of this show is outstanding, but I think Dr. Leo Spaceman's Love Storm: audio reboneulater made me ROTFLMAI
1:08 perfect impression
6:32 Yikes!!!
If Angie had heard that Jamaican impression, she would’ve ripped out Liz’s weave
Love 6:50 Liz goes Irish.
it's a blessing and a purse u_u
steve buscemi like 'hello fellow pages'
Whoa was that Stuart Margolin in the ep with Alan Alda? Don't think I noticed that at the time this was airing
dr. spaceman has a poster of freud lolol
"It's a blessing AND a purse"
Your blood tastes like root beer.
This video was a Wonderful Treat!
5:00 lmaoo
It’s a blessing and a purse
Bobsled became a thing with the nursing staff. 😆
Still trying to find out why this humor worked so well here, but fails so often in the spiritual successors (Kimmy, great news, Mr mayor). I think it's the brevity and the comedic timing.
I thought it worked really well in Kimmy. Titus is a great character and there are at least a couple of really funny bits in every episode (to me, at least, because I know it’s not universally loved).
I agree about the other two, though.
I think it's also the time. 30 Rock is kind of a mean show. A brilliantly funny but kinda mean show. Audiences nowadays are tired of real life and want something sweeter. But when you add sweetness in like with Great News or Mr. Mayor it makes the comedy punch less!
That psychic bit was fantastic
5:40.
I have an uncle who does yoga.
"Bullet in jaw"
"Turkey wraps...."
¨he tinks dat toot might have some bad mojo in it¨
Hepatitis D 😂
Comfort Lemon!
This conversation has taken an unfortunate turn...
So just to be clear. Pete sneezed really hard and Liz hit him with a framed picture post sneeze. Of course he's confused and probably disoriented.
More work juice please 😂
Hello Taniqua
First of all, never ever badmouth Synergy!
Alan Alda and the other gentleman were both on mash. No that's no Larry Linville. The man I am speaking of was in an episode of MASH were he tried to SMASH with Hot Lips.
Hair movement IS a sign of weakness
Don’t come to the comments section to say “that joke wasn’t underrated” because then you’ll see spoilers for the rest of the video
