  • Here I operate a train of 1995-2001 Bombardier T1's from Finch station to Downsview station on the newly pre-released Toronto Subway Line 1 Yonge-University v4.0 for openBVE. This video also shows the new rainy weather feature of this route.

It's too bad there's really no room for express service, given how busy Line 1 is, especially since the only North American rapid transit line that is busier is the IRT Lexington Avenue Line, which has express service.

Nick, are you using the V1.0 of the trains included with the package? It is included in the Toronto Subway 1.0 folder. The grade time signals are clearing as soon as you enter the block. V4.0 uses a new signal system and requires the included trains and not previous versions.

I'm sure I installed the trains included in the package. Perhaps the problem is because I merged/replaced my current folders with the ones in the ZIP file.

+Nick Blonski Instead of merging the trains try and copy the entire Toronto Subway 1.0 folder.

      I'll try that. Thanks!
And again, great job on the route!

I didn't know the TTC was so fucking slow, that is a fucking joke and unacceptable, TTC needs to stop building more subways and start going towards highspeed light rail, and Bombardier Advanced Rapid Transit. The replacement of the Scarborough RT with the subway would be a fucking joke, just order some new Bombardier ART trains, easy.

Yeah cause ttc drivers would just speed and trip and overrun their stations that's fucking why they go so fucking slow bitch

Your an idiot, its not about the drivers overshooting, its about the subway being designed poorly and the drivers having to go slow. The acceleration on the trains is non existent, there are too many stops, and the speed is pathetically slow. I am happy I live in BC, because I can take the Skytrain, it goes 90km/h without breaking a sweat, and it shoots out like a rocket with linear induction (proto-maglev), "Ride the Rocket" my ass, more like ride slow sled that stops too often.

In Toronto we have two transit systems, the GO Train is our faster commuter, travelling up to 110 km/h between some stations. It goes from Oshawa to Hamilton as well as lines stretching to Milton, Stoufville and Barrie. The TTC was not designed to be a fast system, it was designed to get people close to their desired destination. Therefore designing the system again to have it be faster would be a nightmare and shut down the city's main transit hubs for a long time. If the TTC built more lines and a couple of express lines using the TR it would be faster but that was not the initial goal of the subway.
