He’s actually going to make a game on a computer he built. What a mad lad
or running tetris os(do you remember it?) on that messy computer.
Fr this is my dream
I'll just say this in advance:
IT
WON'T
RUN
DOOM
!!!
What a chad*
Doom
Thats one way baypass the current GPU shortage.
I'm satisfied with my SIMD instructions, tbh. Who needs a GPU? Let's just make CPUs better at GPU stuff.
For those pong gamers out there, yeah
@@shambhav9534I wouldn't say no to great CPU Graphics, but as a gamer I currently depend on them.
@@spygot They would be faster as well because then you wouldn't need to transfer memory from the CPU to the GPU and vice versa.
@@spygot no you dont, integrated graphics are not the same thing as software rendering.
Integrated graphics is basically a mini gpu built into the chip while software rendering is actually using the cpu to render. Completely different things
looks a bit more complicated than my blinking led project i made with arduino
Yah, my smart blinds also fall short in comparison
Just a little bit. /s
Same. Just a tad tho
That's the voice of a man who was going to lose his mind if it didnt work. I know that voice.
Congrats dude, I thought you'd be able to do it, I just thought it'd take longer. Looking forward to homemade tetris!
The fact this even works is mind blowing to me, Like imagine if one of the cable is misplaced.
Great job dude!
He probably spend a lot of time fixing mistakes he did during building.
@@JenByte yeah it is always what it is. Fixing!
On the one hand, this is incredible and I am stoked to see the full video. On the other hand, I've clearly been spoiled by Ben Eater videos.
Was thinking the same thing, he always has every wire the perfect length and bends 😂
Fr
You motivated me to switch to linux and start learning C
wait what
Take a look at the Zig programming language :)
@@meowpspspsps based
Pop!_OS is a great place to start.
@@elorrambasdo5233 depends what you want from it. if extensibility and a hands-on experience is what you want, then maybe not
Ngl that bread board looks like my cable management
The fact that you didn't use a single resistor is more amazing than the fact that it works.
He won’t let anything limit his power!
resistance is futile
And I'm sitting here trying to get a shift register to work! Amazing work and dedication
And I'm sitting here trying to get OpenGL to work! :(
And I'm sitting here putting things and taking things out of a database
@@hamzaabdelal2305 to avoid some pain, use linux, its 1000x easier, mac is good too maybe i would say 1.2x easier on mac
and i'm sitting here consooming youtube videos. i should get to work but i really don't want to
and I'm sitting here trying to learn how a linkedlist works
This just gives me more and more compassion to graphic card companies. Great work so far!
Nvidia and AMD
Yeah it’s amazing to see how far they come
This is a single dude in his home working for about a year with a budget of pretty much 0, it has nothing to do with multimillion companies working with massive teams for well over 2 decades
@@YOEL_44 so? That doesn't downplay their and his achievements
@@punu3675 If you say so...
I mean... It's definitively messier than Ben eater's own CPU, but still impressive!
Also more powerful if I understand it right. Inspired me to start building the Ben Eater version (this one is beyond me for now)
More like a garlicbreadboard with how much spaghetti is on there ;) Congrats on getting it working, I can't wait for the full vid!
Aye congrats, I've been looking forward to seeing your progress on this
Insane job! I’ve done something like this in VHDL and an FPGA board as well as I did the Ben Eater computer but you blew me, a 4th year in college computer engineer, out of the water. Congrats!
I've checked your CZcams page every day for the last month for content, you're content is scarce but it's because it's always such good quality. I can't wait for the video on this!
bruh so much respect it;s mind numbing when you get to a certain point, but well worth it in this case.
*Janitorial Staff enters*
"Boy, what a mess"
*pulls out rake*
I've watched your whole descent into hardware wiring and it's given me a huge amount of appreciation for Informatics and Computer Science as a whole. Thank you.
Ben Eater's homemade computers: perfectly aligned wires in nice neat rows and columns
jdh's homemade computer: spaghetti
Debugging that mess of spaghetti seems like absolute hell...
Don't worry, is color coded LOL
First video I watch of this channel and it convinced me to subscribe.
yoo congratulations on 100k!
I lack words. This can be the most unbelievable yet true video I have watched on CZcams. That spaghetti is mesmerizing.
You are the most insane developer I ever saw on youtube, in a good way
That's an awesome achievement!
Welcome back man! After watching your videos i am expermenting with arduino and reading computer architecture books alongside c++, c and assembly. Thank you
Super excited for the next video!
Whoa, you are such a amazing man, just pure genius work...
You did it!!
You crazy S-O-B, you did it!?!
AWEEESOOOMEEE!!! Congratulations! :D
jdh: Hi, I would like to order some wires!
worker: How many?
jdh: YES
Love that feeling. Amazing
This is my end game but I'm way behind you, clearly. I actually felt your happiness. Congratulations, man.
You did it! You absolute madlad! I'm so happy.
Ben eater must be proud
bloody hell! those thing are nightmare to troubleshoot!
all of those loose wire.
all of those breadboard parasitic.
WHAT A MAD LAD! BRAVO!
that deserves a standing ovation
Bro can we appreciate how hard he worked for this , this is next level well deserved sub ❤️❤️
Holy fucking shit. Congratulations, man. Your code was always too good for plebeian hardware, about time you took it here.
Anxiously anticipating
He is a man of his words.
its still so satisfying to see it working.
He put the vim theme in the description, absolute legend
congrats! now finally, clean the wires!
You're a mad man for wiring that shit up!!
and it works
That's so awesome!
The size of this dub is massive
this is like the Pepe Silvia meme but home electronics version. Bravo
You are an absolute mad man, so proud of you bud
Discovered Victor Lundberg because of your video. Cool! Thanks. :-)
This is amazing
Dude youre really cool, great job!
Congrats man. Thats fucking awesome
😀 congratulations!
Incredible
Congrats!
That sounds like a painful journey...
absolute legend
The legend has returned
CONGRATS!
Congrats mate
you are the only one that it has done this so far spending hours building gpu congrats
i've waited for so long
Congratulations!
jdh's slow descent into madness sure is something
I just finished watching the stream, that was a surprise.
This absolute madlad
Ben Eater must be proud
crazy.
insane actually.
that moment when your project finally runs, but you don't have enough strength remaining to celebrate due excess of work done to reach this point
i don't even want to wonder the nightmare that would be debug that thing
I never clicked on a video that fast
YAAAY GOOD FOR U MAN.
YAY, AMAZING JOB, im proud of you
OMG that thing is so cool. What a rats nest, but I mean, I've been trying for a long time in Minecraft, and wow. Can't wait for what you're gonna do with it.
nice cable management
Holy SHIT well played fam
Wow a fully working fire hazard
im working on my website database rn and i thought that was complicated but now i see this wow
I'm so proud
The holy F*** it works line man. I feel that when I've spent hours programming and it works lmao
Next step should be a collab with Sam Zeloof and turning this into an ic
I would just rip those cables out in frustration.
THAT'S AMAZING
Damn dude, this is fucking impressive as shit
Amazing
sure
ITS ALIVE
That's amazing
Best Title ever
Congrats dude holy shit
Awesome! :D
It wooooorks!
I hope than Ben Eater , who built his own breadboard computer , watches this ...
Amazing work bro
WOOHOO! JDH-8 best giga ray tracing computer!!! XD
Holy shit, congrats
When are you going to continue your web browser game? I want to see more.
Thanks for the update on the graphics card as well.
