Sometimes it's parodies or associates properties that get you into stuff. BG3 was my formal introduction to D&D.

As someone who grew up watching the actual movies and the clone wars series, and some of the old Lego shows on Cartoon Network and Disney XD, someone telling me their first time watching Star Wars was through Family Guy amuses me. No shame in it I just find it so foreign.
Mine was the animated clone wars. I even bought a clone trooper before it came out. My parents noticed the hype and tried to watch it.
They saw the family guy version by mistake.
Fun part about the actual movies: when questioned about the whole Lando wearing Han's clothes thing, Billy Dee Williams, Lando's actor, actually said they were lovers. It's a little cheeky but it's a fun response.
I had always assumed space hobo. Dude just left his entire everything back on Bespin. Fortune AND wardrobe. Assuming its been a few days for the hyperspace trip, dude needed to launder what he was wearing eventually, and its not like Han is there to tell him to not to.

Actually, Stormtroopers did start off as clone troopers but the empire slowly phased them out with citizens from across the galaxy who enlisted to serve.
Yeah, with most clones being keep home to train their own replacement Stormtroopers. I think mostly just Clone Commandos saw any action in the early days of the Empire, maybe some Troopers got to be guards. EDIT: The 501st did become a division called Vader's Fist but I believe a good number of them were on the first Death Star soooo....
I love how McFarlane and Green just shit on each other back to back and continue to this day. That right there is a true friendship

@@lancekemal8989 Agreed. It would've been fine if he was a minor comic relief character. But his prominence throughout the movie made him unbearably obnoxious. It resulted in his shtick quickly outstaying its welcome. Especially if that whole "him being a sith" thing was initially true, because it means that having to endure his presence throughout Episode 1 never even got the payoff that was intended in the later films. Which retroactively only makes his presence in Episode 1 worse. At least if that sith story had actually panned out, you could go back to Episode 1 and forgive his role in that film for what it really was.

To answer you're stormtrooper question.
The clones were fazed out and replaced with conscripted or volunteer soldiers.
Darth Vader was the only person who had clones as Stormtroopers called Vader's Fist formally known as the 501st.
The only clone we know we see during the OT is Boba Fett. But of course, that was retconned.
There was one rebel soldier on Endor who was retconned into being Clone Commander Rex
@@needude7218 I think that was retconned again to it's not Rex. I think Filoni thought the idea was cool, but the dude was already a character that had his own name and lore in other media. So Filoni decided against it.
Many of the retired 501st essentially became stormtrooper drill-instructors and taught them combat techniques and whatnot.
Scorch from Republic Commando became one.
Also, with many of the 501st,
they ended up being one of the first phases of Darktroopers to parallel Vader and all his cybernetics.
The experiments were horrific though, and Vader ended up discontinuing the program.
In 'The Mandalorian', they revealed that Moff Gideon ended up restarting the Darktrooper Program and made Phase 2 Darktroopers which are primarily droids without the organics involved.
The reason why 501st were prioritized for Darktroopers was their inhibitor chip allowing them to more easily sync-up with the Darktrooper cybernetics.
Fun little bit of nightmare fuel when you realize that's where the problem began-
the extremely-painful and traumatic cybernetic rejections scared the mainly-cybernetic Vader to the degree that he as a _Sith Lord_ was like,
"naw bro, this is a bit extreme and inhumane- even for me."

If I remember right, they put Commander Cody through the Darktrooper Program.
An interesting thing that Family Guy got wrong in their adaptation which most fans actually get wrong, Luke didn't want to leave Tatooine to fight the Empire, he wanted to join them. He said he wanted to go to train as a pilot at the academy, he wanted to go to an Imperial Academy to train as a TIE fighter pilot like a lot of his friends.
Does that mean he might have offed some of his friends later in life?
I don't think it was an Imperial academy since he tells Obi-Wan he hates the Empire.
@@Mansplainer2099-jy8ps in legends it was and it was confirmed by Lucas, Biggs, his friend that he reunited with on Yavin 4 who flew one of the X-Wings, was a pilot in the Imperial Navy and Luke wanted to go down the same path. Biggs defected to the rebellion, it is common all over the world for people to join the military even if they hate their government to get out of their situation, see the world or in this case the galaxy.

Alwats hated the "I think the Cleveland Show is gonna do the prequels" because we never got it. The show was underrated, and kinda tackled serious topics better than FG.
But o was a bit confused whos gonna be padme because stewie gotta be anakin and lois needs to be some where so what lois is gonna be padme its fucked up.

The death star explosion with the energy ring was added by lucas during one of his many re-releases and edits. The original was just a classic practical explosion. It's called the Praxis effect because it appeared in Star Trek: The Undiscovered Country in 1996, when that planet exploded. The effect was so well done for its time that it became ubiquitous in sci-fi explosions

It's called "Thumb Wars" and was made by Steve Odekirk (the guy who made Jimmy Neutron and Kung Pow: Enter the Chicken)

My explanation for Lando wearing Han's clothes is that he had to abandon cloud city with just the clothes he was wearing so, being on the Falcon, Han's clothing was all he could change into.
A second explanation is that the clothes are some kind of standard outfit e.g. he won't stand out hanging around smugglers asking around for Boba Fett.
Nah seriously. If you hired me to take you to a another country. I wind up shot at by soldiers in a battleship, nearly die in a compacter and in danger of attacked by warlord, trying to stage a prison rescue. And then going to a third country. If instead of being happy I didn't just leave you somewhere, you get pissy I leave after my job is over would over. I might just start fighting on the spot, forget coming back to rescue you.
