    The new Avenge-X will be out soon but it’s still a good time to take a look at one of the great products that got us this far. The Air Venturi Avenger Bullpup is a great airgun that’s affordable, customizable, accurate, and very fun to shoot. Today we’ll take a look at how it handles the most popular 18-grain precision pellets. Let’s see how it handles the JSB, H&N, and new JTS Pellets out to 50 yards.

    I would definately like a full review. I saw in the comments that someone suggested showing us how to work on our Avenger bullpup. That would be an awesome idea also if you had time to do that.

    My 3 rd PCP bullpup and so darn accurate. 100 yards 18.13 grain Daystate Sovereign pellets @ 900-910 FPS 2” groups per mag. For the money really can’t complain. Wish it had a wood stock like the FX Wildcat. That would be really cool. BTW reg set @ 2200 psi-hammer 2 turns in.

      Did you bring the power down? Because if I turn the power at max it gives me 916 on 25 grains. 😮 I have the PSR3 version

      Hey there.
      I just got the go-ahead to allocate my time to doing more with this product. (Thank You PyramydAir!). Let me see what I can work into the schedule and we'll get something in the works. Also, we should have the new Avenge-X for review sometime soon. We'll be doing a full series on that gun as well.
      Cheers

    Thanks, I enjoyed this. ,, Because it was real. Now it would be great if you cronied the 3 pellets the the way it is. Then lower the reg pressure (showing us how),, shoot the 3 pellets. As a test set and raised the reg pressure. And retest. I know this would e a lot but, we would actually see how it's done and could mimic it. Many of us , including me, have an Avenger 22 cal . This total system set up would be excellent. Especially for those of us who don't do this type of testing. It would lead/ teach us. Might try to copy the vid and put it on our PCs ,,As reference material. 😉
    THANKS Again.

      I’d be happy to do that. Let me get some time cleared and we will make a plan. We can chrony as is and then drop the reg and work our way up. May need to do each pellet separately.
      Cheers

      @markmtbrider Před rokem

      What about shooting at 10 -15 yards ? Just can't get over that scope height over the bore. Looks like you would struggle to keep zero with transporting and actual field use .

    • @BravoBassin
      @BravoBassin Před rokem +1

      @@markmtbrider great question and I had the same thoughts at first but it is not an issue at all for either the .22 or .25.
      I have both of mine zeroed at 30yds and we have no issues shooting from 10 to 75 yds and we run hawk mildot scopes and have never had any issues with having to re zero the rifles. So I hope that helps answer your question.

  • @thumperkreck
    @thumperkreck Před 5 měsíci

    Must say, I agree regarding Pyramid Air in general.
    Own this exact pcp and love it.
    But only problem when opting to pay more for scope being installed, zero no problem, you will in fact lose every oem box (pcp, as well as scope).
    For that convenience.
    I found it important. Some do not.
    Be informed.

    Any recommendations for a lighter hammer spring for an Avenger .177? Trying to get 10.5s under 900 fps with a flat string. Shooting accurately at that speed, but dropping 30 fps over a tank of air with a POI shift down. It came out of the box shooting 13.43 monster redesigns to perfection; flat curve at 885 fps with the reg set to 2300.
    My barrel was very dirty out of the box. Got it clean and then put North of 1000 pellets through it. Cleaned it again(including a full takedown and strip/moly grease to the hammer and hammer spring) and it has been very stable through the next 500.

    I have had NO luck with H&N pellets in any of my guns! I think the alloy they use is to hard. After inspecting captured pellets, they show no sign of riffling engagement.

    Why do they have the scope mount so high over the bore? Can that be lowered on the rifle?

    • @AirGunWeb
      @AirGunWeb  Před 3 měsíci

      Necessity of a bullpup. It’s like an AR. If you have a the low to the bore you would not be able to get your head in a position to use it.
