    The issue is whenever she made it she didn't actually use boiling maple syrup. She just used it at room temperature.

    As a Canadian, maple toffee is one of the best Canadian snacks ever!! Every time I see a stand for maple toffee, I just go to the stand and get myself some toffee. I don’t need any bottle or honey and a freezer.

    I remember back in elementary on heritage day in mid February we would be huddled around the campfire, and that would be this Maple taffy truck parked on the tarmac where we would line up to get our own. It’s so nostalgic.

    Fellow Canadian here, You don’t have to use it boiling, yes it may make it easier to role, but you can use it cold, or room temperature. Me and my sister would just take it out of the fridge and go find a clean patch of snow outside and it would work perfectly ❤

    i highly recommend you to use crushed or shaved ice if your ever going to do this, the snow outside in big cities is super unsanitary (if you don't believe me go test this yourself: get a cup or a microwavable container or something then go outside get a scoop of snow in the container, go inside and microwave it till the snow is all melted. its very dirty) so unless you live in somewhere like canada in a rural place, don't do this with actual snow outside.

    Canadian here and This reminds me of visiting Maple farms as a kid on school trips to learn the process of syrup collecting etc. cool to walk around and see all the trees with taps in them and buckets. Definitely the best part of those field trips where the end when you’d get to watch this and we’d all get 1 stick + a little maple candy in the shape on a maple leaf 💕🇨🇦

    Ok so, a delicious snack we get in New Hampshire is called sugar on snow, you get a cup of snow and you pay to get unlimited refills of this delicious maple syrup you can chug it or you can put it on your snow cup and eat the most delicious thing in the world ( they also sold maple sugar candys/lollipops too )
