Ryu is a virgin.
I like that Luke, who’s the main face of street fighter 6, lost against Ryu. Shows that Luke still has a long road ahead of him similar to Alex. While Ryu has become a Master who finally reach the pinnacle of his martial arts and over come the darkness from within.
And like Alex he will be forgotten
He is basically Alex to me. I like Alex more cause he was a grappler with Street moves. Luke is sick too but I believe Alex legit was the natural progression even if fans hated him

Ryu will always be the face of SF no matter the poster boy of the week they come up with.
Ryu doesn't even stick around for his own arcade ending, lol. Damn they give you a lot of art for completing the arcade ladders!
And as always like every arcade mode with Ryu, he comes to fight and leaves to continue his training walking towards the sunset. At least his final rival fight was with Luke, a nice scene between both of them at the start to the end. Also nice easter egg reference when Luke took a picture of him on his phone.
I’m surprised the first thing Luke does before losing consciousness is take a picture before losing conscious completely.
@@maikayee246 It's more like he recovered back and catch Ryu leaving and then take a snap shot before hand.
I like that Ryu's arcade story is simplistic and straightforward. His story's done, anything beyond it is just him keeping himself honed.
Ryu in 6 look like He should be a Secret Boss like Akuma.
Something only a idiot would say. Ryu does not even have 1 interesting Canon victory in the lore. He beat up bison with the moons and some loser named necalli. He is far from done.
The last thing he did in the story before becoming a master is lose to akuma. He is a disgraced man with whiskers.
Akuma and Gill never lost to Ryu.
Sagat apparently won in the Canon lore, and when he came to help Ryu up, he was cheap, shoted by the dark hado.
Ryu being a old stagnant man is just for woke people who don't play street fighter and want everyone to die.
Honestly Luke with his Alt outfit looks cooler than his base one

The reverse Jotaro hat (or whatever you call not having the cap cover the whole head) and the fact he actually has shoes helps a lot, although I'm not big on the color of the jacket so I want to see its alternate colors
The alt outfit is cool, it's just the hat that looks weird with the placement of his hair

Retsu a enemy of Ryu? Guess Retsu gonna be DLC probably in the future cause now this story has to be explain and you can fight Retsu in world tour.

Ryu IS the world warrior. I like that every main character, street fighter or even crossover games, has ran into ryu and he fights them. Ryu isnt the main character, but he is the goal of every main character. To be the best without transformations, shortcuts, trophies, fame, money, etc. The fight is all.

So that’s it? Huh. Ryu reminiscences of everybody he had met and faced. Everyone who he befriended and everyone who he has stopped. Ryu has never gaven up his path of being the eternal wandering warrior. He dedicated his whole life to wandering, training and getting stronger. He has no desire to settle down. No desire for anything else.
He will live as a wander fighter and die as a wandering fighter. That’s the Ryu we all know.
Yep. And people try to pair him with chun li. His one and only love is the fight. He is the eternal wandering virgin warrior. My character is going to be his apprentice who is dedicated to the martial arts. But I'll be damned if he dies a virgin like ryu and doesn't have a woman.

I'm pretty sure there's no actual final boss of arcade mode and just ends with the rival fight, although the rivals do seem to be harder than the normal fights (I think, anyway)

@@akilcharles3473 Don't be a smartass you know what he meant. Characters actually developed in Alpha's arcade modes. The ones in SF6 are lazy in terms of writing. Nothing really happens.
@@blackout1524 I freaking know what he meant genius however I would counteract that the Alpha games story was mostly focus on the main characters and not everyone elses and all tie down culminating fighting the 1 final big bad boss. SF6 is more with them having individual rivals which each having story ending for different aspects like Ken for one if you haven't read the new SF6 comics leading up to the game which btw is canonical.
@@akilcharles3473 And that gave the story some kind of cohesion with the cast. Some were important, some weren't. And idk what you talking about rivals because the Alphas had the rival battles in each playthrough.
And that's even worse that you need a comic to get the full picture. Put it in the damn game.
@@UnifiedEntity Yeah the alpha series do have rival battles but then again so did 4. And then soon after the rival battles come the final boss that doesn't tie in with other characters like Sakura,Birdie or Adon that has no connections to Bison, characters like Guile,Cammy,Chun-li & Ryu do.
And don't try to make a bloody argument in regards to the comic for at the least stays canonical to story in SF6 whereas before they didn't. Don't see a rival fight between Ken & Vega where in the comic Vega attacks Ken wife and didn;t exact revenge in game. And if Capcom did have to put that story in the game it woulda been a cinematic movie at that point like Guilty Gear Strive story mode.

A bit disappointed with the cutscenes, although knowing it will be end up as this style but I just hope they can make use of the character model to do the cutscenes like sf 4 did, will be a lot better just my personal taste though..... I know the model cutscenes will be in world tour mode, but they might be different in story telling though. 😅
Theirs different artists for different characters, Ryu just got the most basic one cuz he's Ryu, all the others are so much more stylish

This has been the story mode since its inception.
MK only last for 2 or so years and fade into obscurity and If you been following SF6 which you clearly wasn't you'll know these are arcade stories the story mode is world tour.

I don’t find him interesting, I don’t like his design, I don’t like his knockoff shoto fighting style, and I don’t like his story. Of all the characters that could have been the face of SF6 why is it Luke? Not Kimberly, not Jamie, it’s bland boring generic stupid Luke, the ugly stain on an otherwise beautiful game.

And as far with him being shoved in your face is nothing comopared of Ryu and others being shoved in other games and spinoffs like Fornite,Brawlhalla,Minecraft and other titles that had been squeazing this icon off. And Aleks the VA of Luke had been doing great self promoting this game than any VA up till this point.
The only reason why you're so annoyed is the you can't stand the fact he's taken over as the new protagonist when Ryu's struggle with the stupid Satsui no Hadou is going on for years now and we are finally moving on from the Shadaloo story plot. I don't really care if he's protag or not I'm just glad we have a new generation of characters that will continued the legacy of Street Fighter as long as it can.
Also his level 3 CA is so badass.
there's somerhing that I don't like about this game and is the fact that the characters don't look like they were on the stage, it's like the bg were a green screen and they were in front of it.
So dissapointed. This is the story of character ....At least must fight two unselectable boss. One midboss and one big boss. If You use the character fighting skill get good ranking( no lose 1 round) have fight true real boss in this new episode boss.

Ryu's SF6 Ending is a Ripoff of Sakura's Alpha 2 Ending with Luke, & Sakura taking a Picture of Ryu at the End of their respective match.

@@Luis-Hernandez.2022 The artwork varies from different characters, it's not always gonna be the same artwork for all the characters. Just saw clip of Cammy's arcade mode and her artwork was different.
Oh boy, the art looks ugly. It looks slightly better than SFV, so that's a good thing I guess (SFV is just abominable on this regard)
