really good video, explained everything clearly without dumbing it down too much or making it too confusing
Greatly explained! Keep up the good work
Great video
Thank You Very Much! This works perfectly for Manjaro.
We use arch btw
It doesn't matter with Proprietary nvidia driver. No linux distro has been able to shut dedicated GPU down even when optimus GPU switcher is on iGPU mode.
@@az9az9az9 it was a joke homie
I use artix actually
Thank you sir, for helping me out!
Thanks dude, exactly what I needed :)
Excellent video, cheers.
nice vid bro thank you
Thanks dude 👌
Nice video
Thanks works for my GTX16XX
1650?
Can i instal older driver eg. 390?
So just install some packages, no configurations? Because I saw on some guide that you have to do some kernel and GRUB configurations.
@@generimposter with the newer chips, you dont have to. Nvidia-utils does the job for you.
The configuration you need to do is to blackliat nouveau. Its taken care of.
@@demonkillerr thank you
Anyone else having trouble with using nvida + kde + wayland? Using (X11) works fine tough
Wayland and nvidia drivers are a huge problem still
@user-tz4xi7vb9z on Nvidia maybe yes lmao
I have pc with amd gpu and laptop with intel igpu, everything is fine with plasma 6 in wayland session
@@demonkillerr Do you switch off kde or wayland? How did you solve this issue?
@@AndrewMarsin I still use X11. No wayland. My card (nvidia 3000 series) works well with X11.
DemonKiller is the Arch king bro, I miss ALG...
Bro pls help me i installed nvdia-lts without looking wiki and it does not boot
Did you install nvidia-settings and linux-lts-headers?
@@Gurov- i did -Syu by going to the terminal by pressing Ctrl + Alt + F2 and it works fine
excuse me how exactly did he record his reboot?
Probably using a capture card
it made my resolution go tiny asf, how do i fix it?
Choose correct res with xrandr
dude just cut the most important part :))
Thank youu! Black screen and cursor only was starting to get me down
same thing
blackscreened
Unfortunately when rebooting for the final step, I get stuck with a black screen 😢
UPDATE: fixed it by adding the NVIDIA modules to /etc/mkinitcpio.conf and setting "nividia_drm modeset=1" and "blacklist nouveau" in /etc/modprobe.d/nvidia.conf
this happned with me too just get a livestick and install another os or the same os in th endevour os installer you can get a desktop so you can backup your data
What ur GPU? U can play games with no issues?
Ty
this worked for me
This did not work for me. Are you using Wayland or X11?
