@kritikus handal r/whoooosh
The Joke in the Computer Community is that RGB makes everything better. Including your Morning Coffee and your Toaster.
Fun fact: the design for devastator literally melted a computer because of the sheer amount of detail. They had to store it on MULTIPLE COMPUTERS.
You could say that the melted computer got devastated.
Demolisher, Devastator and Fallen had some real cool designs and were perfect transformers. The later movies began to have slender and more human looking ones
@@robertrulez5391 It makes sense however that they look more human over time, as they naturalize on Earth
It's unironically the strongest reason why I'm willing to defend ROTF.
The designers seem to have gone out of their way to remind us that that Cybertronians aren't just robits, but aliens.
CGI in these movies was incredible
Too bad the stories sucked, I mean if you're gonna have God Tier CGI at least have a good story
Would've been sick if he got more screen time but his model was just too detailed for their computers to handle

Ghost112 Yeah I’m pretty sure one actually exploded when they were rendering it. They also mentioned that it would take around 20 years to render one frame of Devastator with a top of the line 2008/09 computer.
1:10 - 1:12 I always laughed at that scene cause as a kid I thought devastatior shouting an irradiated “WHAT?!” like when someone wakes you up expecting you to do something for them

Devastator in ROTF: *SUCC*
G1 Devestator: A big Roblox Charakter.
Movie Devestator: A cool and menacing Monster.
Cool designs, great visual style, and brilliant brilliant cgi. Its a shame that these movies didnt have good writing
It's a Bay Tradition... Bay films are like chicks that are models... all looks.. no brains...
Much of this movie didn't have writing period. It was made during the writers strike in Hollywood, so Michael Bay literally just took his effects crew and Shia Labouf into the desert to shoot random footage, then told writers to make it into a story when the strike was over.
@@philbattiste9649 An absolutely Logical Analysis... Still... bay is known for weak scripts but the man does deliver. My favorite is a frequently overlooked gem called : The Island 2005. 0:31 OMG, the sound design of this scene!! I freaking love it!!
Don't like big metal impact sound, like that in Mixmaster's attachment. It's not enough heavy for scenes where it's used. Sounds like empty barrel, not a big 10+ ton robot
@_charademon_ Frank Welker always does the coolest vocals in monsters, sci-fi, and creature feature films.
He's one of the best voice actors that's currently alive today.
Many things in these movies didn't age well. The comedy segments, the story, the designs, Megan Fox's part in them...
But that CGI, man... That CGI...
The CGI is amazing but in the wide rotation shot the ground and mountain is so low res.
Imma disagree with the design not aging well. The robot designs from the first 3 films (asides from the obvious offenders like the twins, que & Devys balls) are Top Notch.
Everyone thinks these robots are just piles of scrap thanks to the fast camera-work, limited screentime & the Geewuners constant crying, but the artists have definitely put alot of attention, detail & care into the robots.
@@rpj8961 The Camera-work and limited screentime are definitely good points, but I would also say that if the Transformers were actually written as characters and just the better writing in general would have helped, since when I read the IDW Movie comics I found the designs to be perfectly fine.
But then there were the AOE/TLK designs...
@@grand_max66 yeah that's why I said the first 3 films ay lmao. I hate the stupid stereotype designs with the Knights & Samurais, that & the shameless reuses of models.
Don't care for the Geewun rushed cybertronian in Bumblebee either, they have the opposite effect of Bays TFs where they only look good through the fast camerawork, but their actual models leave alot to be desired.
Having better screen focus, better writing & the TFs treated like characters would definitely be a good start, so far I've only seen this with Shatter & Dropkick.
(I don't count the cybertronian cameos where you're expected to know the g1 characters, even though this is another continuity.)
0:42 headlights functioning like two eyes looking at Leo and Agent Simons
Don't care what anyone says, this is the best design for Devastator. The final outcome looks like a monster and actually looks like multiple vehicles Cronenberged together. I prefer this over the g1 design which just looks like an upscaled version of a transformer.
Ok, but the way he was portrayed in Transformers Devastation was absolutely amazing.
Because he literally was. In G1 that's literally what the Combiners are: the Combined form of a team of Transformers. Makes sense they'd look like upscaled versions of their own species. Sorta like how we usually portray manned combat walkers as having two arms and two legs, like a human, for ease of use.
@@evanboll4651el problema es que literalmente el concepto de un combiner es que sean varios transformers uniendose para formar uno mas grande y fuerte no que todos los miembros que lo conformen sean literalmente sus partes como en g1

I have all the Devastator transformation sounds memorized even without sound lmfao
Yeah sound design was really good in The transformer series. I wish they would come back and do a real action movie for us but I think his style of directing is too expensive compared to all the green screen that’s been put out by the MCU and other outlets. The profit margin’s are just not high enough and maybe Bay is ready to retire because it’s a really demanding job

Everyone talks about how detailed Devastator looked, but am I the only one imagining just how much agony it must've been for one of his eyes to essentially get ripped apart from the inside out?
According to the wiki, due to the massive amount of component Devastator is made of, every single movement is torturous, every components stressed to their very breaking point mentally and physically.
@@elliotmay7571 Really? Just moving is that torturous for Devastator? From the point of view of other Transformers, this must be straight up terryfing. And they do that for and to themselves.
@@afcap0287 The whole thing with combiners, especially on Devastator's caliber, is a nightmare of its own for smaller bots
@@elliotmay7571 I have no doubt about that. In this movie,Devastator looked like a badass monster, and i loved it. But its screen time was short. But sometimes,i imagine what this monster could have done if it was included in Transformers Prime. Jack,Miko and Raf could have nightmares. Well, maybe not for Miko.

We can all agree that devastator was the best part of the whole movie
sound design is INSANE.
0:25 This transformation is probably the best the bay films had to offer. I wonder how much of the budget went toward just this because it's amazing.
Dude, thank you for allowing me to relive my childhood in 4K without having to buy the movie 😎
0:34 if you look at the right side you can see that the arm starts with just a shoulder, when High Tower connects with the arm you can see yellow already in place, I believe that Scrap Metal is part of Devastator’s upper arm. Also if you look at Mixmaster before Scavenger pulls him on, you can see Devastator’s head. Another thing that I don’t understand is how Long Haul and Skipjack are on the ledge above everyone else, but after the arms are put together and it pans over to Long Haul, he is in his vehicle form in front of them all, begins transformation, and somehow gets behind all of them into position along with Skipjack. Same with Over Load, he was in the front next to Mixmaster and still managed to get behind them all to get with the legs. And why does Scrapper have green on him near the elbow? Nothing about their formation makes any sense !!!! It’s driving me mad, mentally and emotionally, sure the scene is epic and all but I think it would be better if they all actually had a position that made sense to where they actually went together instead of teleporting.
Damn the only thing I noticed at first was that somehow long haul was all the way in the front, only to somehow telaport behind the main body to form the leg. But these are all very good points
also the fact that there are multiple long hauls and rampages/scrappers in other bits of the fight while devastator is active and another mixmaster that jetfire kills and it's like... if you have multiple constructicons, why not make another devastator when the first one dies and keep it low so the railgun can't hit it
@@dankerbell devastator was too hard to render, it made one of the computers explode. So I don't think the directors want another fried computer
Look at some of the older cgi scenes that use a different design. This transformation is the result of a rushed product, with an unclear number of vehicles and their positions.
The CGI in the transformer movies we’re beautiful
One thing I absolutely hated was that while Devastator was wrecking havok, some of the Constructicons that are part of him were in the village hunting Sam
Some of the Constructicons have a few stand-ins for Devastator in the event that the originals cannot combine. For example Scavenger's stand in (The big red and white excavator in the center) Demolisher, was seen and killed at the beginning of the movie.
@@hallowedknight234 the best theory I have in mind are those are Constructicon clones and not the actual ones. They were just used as foot soldiers. And as for Demolisher and Rampage, they are considered as filler Constructicons, meaning that if Skipjack and Scavenger (the Constructicons that formed Devastator onscreen) were ever absent, they could just take their places.
Actually it's part of the lore some of the constructions has clones like long haul, scrapper

CGI was always the best things about the Bayverse.
The writing, characters, and plot? Not so much.

I like how you can actually hear devastator powering up when he was being assembled
Not as good as Daniel saying "Kup, Hotrod look!"

Una de las mejores escenas de todas las películas, no hay lugar para discutir eso
El devastador literalmente derritio una computadora y hizo explotar otra por lo detallado que es
Now that 4K is a thing I can finally see what Michael Bay made, I think this is what we needed for his movies
1:22
Me at 2 am eating every single existing comestible in the kitchen:
A lot of people died
Haah ya... I cut a lot but I had to leave that in... he's got a funny character that progresses throughout the films. In the third one he's like a Hugh Hefner type it's pretty funny...
One of the many problems of these movies is the fact that they undersell the bad guys frequently... Devastator was extremely badass and threatening, and yet they had Skids and Mudflap of all people giving him hella trouble
Ya... megatron was only somewhat scary in the 1st one... the rest... he's a sideshow at best with all focus on Optimus...
If anyones wondering how Mudflap(the red twin) survived,I made a theory that Devastator was made to *devastate* buildings and whatnot, just basic materials like metal, concrete, etc. But the thing is, Mudflaps made of Cybertronian metal. Or cybermatter as i'd like to call it (never calling it transformium) so the blades couldn't shred him and if you look closely when he gets *succed* his car door gets jammed in the saw (or atleast the cybermatter parts. The glass probably got shredded) hence why Mudflao was able to survive
devastator should've been made to shred transformers considering that he's... a transformer
Decepticons always get the cool stuff like Driller and Devastator
Some of the best CGI of all time
this iteration of devastator has got to be one of the best things that's ever come out of the bayverse
You can criticize this movie all you want. But their commitment to good CGI has to be praised. This guy right here cost them a whole ass PC
The stories in these movies allways sucked but the cgi is allways spetacular.
How this did not win best sound mixing and sound effects is beyond me. Does anyone think of The Hurt Locker and think, best sound?
Also not even nominated for best visual effects is insane.
yes actually, and i hate the hurt locker. but its sound design is very important to the tension of the scenes in the movie. and as much as i dislike the hurt locker, i dislike this film more and a lot of people share the opinion that this is a bad movie so that probably had a lot to do with it
This is why i still enjoy these movies: fun, cool looking, and utterly stupid.
Devastator was so powerful, that he Devastated the PC's he was made on, they had to use multiple just to handle his insane detail.
I always wondered if the constructions could still feel when they were combined. Like, could Hightower feel Skids & Mudflap when they were balanced on his wire?

That CGI is downright incredible.
Devastator literally gave me nightmares as a child. I was terrified of vacuum ability.

By physic Devastator should become unstoppable.
It's been 14 years since his live-action debut and his combining animation is still one of the best effing animations I've ever watched.
I will never understand why do some people only care about the freaking damn script writing? The script writing is not always the most important one it's the action that really makes the movie amazing any true transformers fan already know that the transformers franchise is not known for its stories it's more known for the amazing transformers fighting each other I never cared for the story writing I have always liked Michael Bay because he makes the most amazing action-packed movies 😍
