I'm wondering how much it will be December 2025 since XLM is an iso coin and swift completely changes over to iso activity only in November, 2025. I think this is the catalyst for .major uptick in pricing. Mainly because the banks have to be using one system. The old systems are running in parallel right now until that time. After that, swift must use those iso coins across all their supporting financial institutions.
0.000001 payment per transaction, Dennele recently said that this was the ONLY payment XLM receives...I sold all my XLM, moved it over to XRP...how can a company exist on just a tiny payment per transaction plus on every transaction a small tiny amount of XLM is burned...it just doesn't seem viable to operate a business model that way, its an interesting video but I've had my doubts about XLM for a while and finally got out yesterday..

Stellar has 7 decimals after the comma which means it has been created to reach a very high value. Cutting the original circulation of 100 billion to half will only speed up this process, because when the 50 billion Stellars are all in circulation , the only way to increase the amount in use is by increasing the price of each Stellar. I would like to understand the natural move of the price up, just how is that possible? As I understood from this video, if you let's say want to send in USD to your friend in Europe and want him to receive that in EURO, then you follow this map of the transfer and definitely at certain point the USD that you have sent first will be converted to Lumen and then this Lumen will be converted to EURO (main difference from the exchange is that you will get it at best rate with the lowest fee). So, how exactly then the Lumen price can change? Every time you convert to it (Lumen is bought) and then at the point where other side receives money it is converted back to fiat currency (Lumen is sold). This way the amount of the lumens will always be the same + mined fee which is received by those who provided the node
I think you are confused between the fiat stellar tokens and lumen. Lumens are what the fee's are pay in. The conversion between fiat are made by example the US dollars tokens to the pesos tokens and vise versa between fiat. So in theory the higher the price of lumens the higher the fees rewards for miner's
From my understanding, the only outside demand for XLM aside from people that want to hold the token, is from fees. So if I send you 1 USD token, I have to pay a 0.00001 XLM fee, and you receive slightly less than 1 USD token which you can convert to whichever token you want on the DEX and cash out into fiat on your end. If VOLUME of transactions increase, the demand for XLM increases due to the requirement to pay the 0.00001 XLM fee. So, the only outside demand stress on XLM aside from folks wanting to hold, is from VOLUME of transactions, of which there are currently very little, considering the tiny fee. We'd need trillions of dollars transacting to see large enough demand on XLM.

The conversion rate man. If you send USD to a Mexican wallet.. The bank would impose a let's say 2% of spread for conversion from USD to Mexican money. Meaning they'll convert your USD to Mexican currency 2% lower than the real exchange rate. Some would even convert your USD higher or lower than 2% depends on the medium of exchange (for example VISA or your local bank).
If ripple transation cost 0.0001 xlm, that is almost free. However, if XLM price rises to, say $10, then the cost of transaction becomes much more expensive. So the price of XLM cannot or won't be allowed to increase much. What say you?
That's a great question. The current fee is 0.00001 XML and let's say you XLM will rises to $10, will you pay more. Honestly I don't know the answer to that and any guess would just be an assumption on my part. The Stellar inflation rate is set at 1% a year and newly minted coins are set aside in an inflation pool, coins for network fees are also set aside so my guess is the network fees would still be almost free and if they rise too much there is always the chance of a governance change to keep them low. The way i understand it is if a corporate entity or a government, etc wants to tokenize a large sum of their currency i.e. digitize their state sanctioned currency on a blockchain, they need to hold and also burn a number of these xlm tokens to do so, does that mean it's headed to 100 bucks? i dont think so, but i could see it possibly being a buck or two at some point

How can the number of XLM be made sure to be held constant? Isn't it true, the number of XLMs can be changed if the software is very centrally controlled. The number of coins changed once. Why not more times? - "Previously, there had been 105 billion XLM in existence, with 20 blilion in circulation. With this burn, the supply has shrunk to 50 billion.Nov 5, 2019"
Number of xlm or xrp can be changed if the validators chose so but it has to be for a very very good reason because they will loose on it, more so than the regular person. So dont worry, one of the few cases I’ve heard of it was polkadot but that was for a good reason and now polkadot is rising big.

Great question! It depends on the hardware wallet you're referring to, but generally, you'll need to issue an XLM address with the hardware wallet manager. For example, you'll need to issue an XLM address on Ledger Live if you're using Ledger. If you're using Trezor, this can be done with Trezor Suite. As I understood from this video, if you let's say want to send in USD to your friend in Europe and want him to receive that in EURO, then you follow this map of the transfer and definitely at certain point the USD that you have sent first will be converted to Lumen and then this Lumen will be converted to EURO (main difference from the exchange is that you will get it at best rate with the lowest fee). So, how exactly then the Lumen price can change? Every time you convert to it (Lumen is bought) and then at the point where other side receives money it is converted back to fiat currency (Lumen is sold). This way the amount of the lumens will always be the same + mined fee which is received by those who provided the node

I think you are confused between the fiat stellar tokens and lumen. Lumens are what the fee's are pay in. The conversion between fiat are made by example the US dollars tokens to the pesos tokens and vise versa between fiat. So in theory the higher the price of lumens the higher the fees rewards for miner's
From my understanding, the only outside demand for XLM aside from people that want to hold the token, is from fees. So if I send you 1 USD token, I have to pay a 0.00001 XLM fee, and you receive slightly less than 1 USD token which you can convert to whichever token you want on the DEX and cash out into fiat on your end. If VOLUME of transactions increase, the demand for XLM increases due to the requirement to pay the 0.00001 XLM fee. So, the only outside demand stress on XLM aside from folks wanting to hold, is from VOLUME of transactions, of which there are currently very little, considering the tiny fee. We'd need trillions of dollars transacting to see large enough demand on XLM.

The value is what the crypto network provides to everyone in terms of convenience, time savings, opportunities, a place to store money. The more tokens you have from the system, the more you get to use it
The total value that everyone see's is what they contribute and the price fluctuates based on how much value the network is providing to its investors
When this crypto actually becomes used for what it is, the value it would provide people would explode, while keeping constant supply

I have a question. I’ve paid for products in other countries with my Mexican Visa card and the payment goes through. What is the difference between that and using Stellar??
The conversion rate man. If you send USD to a Mexican wallet.. The bank would impose a let's say 2% of spread for conversion from USD to Mexican money. Meaning they'll convert your USD to Mexican currency 2% lower than the real exchange rate.
Some would even convert your USD higher or lower than 2% depends on the medium of exchange (for example VISA or your local bank).

If ripple transation cost 0.0001 xlm, that is almost free. However, if XLM price rises to, say $10, then the cost of transaction becomes much more expensive. So the price of XLM cannot or won't be allowed to increase much. What say you?
That's a great question. The current fee is 0.00001 XML and let's say you XLM will rises to $10, will you pay more. Honestly I don't know the answer to that and any guess would just be an assumption on my part. The Stellar inflation rate is set at 1% a year and newly minted coins are set aside in an inflation pool, coins for network fees are also set aside so my guess is the network fees would still be almost free and if they rise too much there is always the chance of a governance change to keep them low.

The way i understand it is if a corporate entity or a government, etc wants to tokenize a large sum of their currency i.e. digitize their state sanctioned currency on a blockchain, they need to hold and also burn a number of these xlm tokens to do so, does that mean it's headed to 100 bucks? i dont think so, but i could see it possibly being a buck or two at some point

How can the number of XLM be made sure to be held constant? Isn't it true, the number of XLMs can be changed if the software is very centrally controlled. The number of coins changed once. Why not more times? - "Previously, there had been 105 billion XLM in existence, with 20 blilion in circulation. With this burn, the supply has shrunk to 50 billion.Nov 5, 2019"
Number of xlm or xrp can be changed if the validators chose so but it has to be for a very very good reason because they will loose on it, more so than the regular person. So dont worry, one of the few cases I’ve heard of it was polkadot but that was for a good reason and now polkadot is rising big.

How do you send xlm to a hardware wallet
Great question!
It depends on the hardware wallet you're referring to, but generally, you'll need to issue an XLM address with the hardware wallet manager. For example, you'll need to issue an XLM address on Ledger Live if you're using Ledger. If you're using Trezor, this can be done with Trezor Suite. Something cool worth mentioning is that your XLM can also be sent from your Exodus wallet directly to your Trezor 😄. Let me know if you have any other questions. I got your back 😎.
