  • In this video, Dr Sanjay Sethi and Dr Heather Lehman explain that the inhaled corticosteroids used to treat asthma are considered safe, but as with any medication, there are possible side effects. The experts also explain the difference between taking steroids in pill versus inhaler format. Inhaled steroids have few side effects, especially at lower doses. A few people may get thrush or hoarseness, which can be relieved by rinsing or gargling after taking the inhaler medication. Always talk to your doctor about any possible side effects to look out for and how to deal with them.

I feel great without using my inhaler, I haven't used in 3 months and my bones don't hurt or have heart problems.

I was on a Symbicort Inhaler when without consultation the surgery switched me to another brand and style. I took it for one day (2 doses) and immediately came out in Hives (hundreds of small red itchy spots) I immediately contacted them and got it changed back and was put on a course of Antihistamine.

Dr Brook Goldner helped me almost cure my asthma (I could probably cure it if I followed her instructions more strictly)

Lovely, and I use inhaled steroids too for my bronchial asthma. I even have lower back pain too. Presumably, from the inhaler that I use. Thanks for the informative video though.

It's not a small effect, me and my brother both had asthma growing up, he always used to take medicines regularly but me being an idiot always refrained from using them, without any reason, untill the very moment i thought that I'm gonna die if I don't take it. And guess what, we have the same genetics but now I am 5'10" and he is 5'5". I don't recommend doing what I did but at least be mentally prepared that this could be you.

How do you know you have the "same genetics" lmao, thats bs. But yes many of these so called medicines do much more harm than good in the long term.
