  • The long-awaited vacation finally arrived! Unfortunately, our expectations were much higher, and we ended up regretting our choice. There are very few positive aspects about this hotel. Our next trip is already scheduled, so stay tuned for the next review.

    Sorry to hear that you guys had such a disappointing experience. My husband and I honeymooned at Sandals almost 20 years ago and the service was amazing!! They went above and beyond, we felt like royalty. I was sad to leave because we were pampered so much. How unfortunate that wasn't your experience as well. I agree with you 100%, why advertise a service, charge extra for it, but not follow through and deliver. You have every right to feel as you do. I hope your next vacation goes off without a hitch.       Where did you go?
      One thing is always true: people make the difference. We started this channel not so long ago, most of our experiences are missing, but we see things have changed at all levels.
      We had such amazing experiences in Greece, Tanzania or Czech republic and it wasn't even our honeymoon.
      Nowadays it looks like most services (not only Hotels) are more interested in taking the money than build a reputation and deliver what they promise.
      Have you planned your next anniversary destination yet? 😍

    Also adding, I didn't think you were being overly critical. To me, it seemed like you were just looking for what was sold to you. That seems fair to me.

    Honestly this is just a horrible review. All the issues you have mentioned seemed very petty to me. Did you even try to ask why tables weren’t decorated ? I’ve stayed at a lot of sandals over the years and they have stopped decorating tables because of how they are decorating the restaurants, each specialty restaurant has its own unique flair and any additional decoration would ruin the decor.
    You expected perfection and no one on this earth is perfect, I’m not, you aren’t I’m sure, if any of us were perfect we wouldn’t be here. But c’mon man you were very brutal in your review, it’s like you either want whoever your butlers were to lose their jobs, it’s like you want all the people you met on property to lose their jobs. I’m pretty sure I didn’t even hear you mention anything about tipping any of your butlers, which is downright rude. Anyone who had to put up with you deserves a pat on the back cuz u sounded like a piece of work. Hope your next sandals vacation treats you better 🎉 cheers xx

      You might not agree with our review, and this is totally fine. As we mentioned earlier, this was our experience.
      Yes, we addressed all our points but the answer was always the same "yes, you are right, next time it will be better".
      Regarding decorations, at least here, there were no particular decorations to be seen in the restaurant. In any case, if they don't decorate tables anymore, why they keep this amenity on the website?
      You are absolutely right, we are not perfect and nobody is, but there is a huge difference between perfection and bare minimum. To us, waiting 2+ hours just the get the room keys is not a matter of perfection.
      We had a long conversation with the butler, it's clearly not their fault and our feedback to the management explicitly mention this point. We don't want anyone loose the job, and this will not happen because of one single review. Also, our complaints are mostly for the hotel.
      Regarding tipping: would you really mention that in a review? How is tipping even related to a review? You tip because you appreciate the service, that's YOUR gesture of appreciation, not to show off.
      We are glade you had beautiful experiences and we hope you will always have 😊

    I'm joined the official and unofficial facebook pages, and I haven't seen anyone complain like this. Not saying it's not justified, but I've seen wayyyyy more pro's than cons from other videos and reviews. Maybe ya'll just had a bad experience.

      Thanks for your comment. Yes, maybe it was just a bad experience, but we can only review our experience, not what is supposed to be.
      The opposite is also true: you can see bad reviews and have a beautiful experience.

      Honestly this is not true and shouldn't be a justification. We visited third world countries (especially Africa) and they delivered exactly what they promised.
      Not to mention, the hotel itself claims to be a luxury hotel.
      Anyway, we are glad to see you opened your account this month, so you can help us and other people see things from a different point of view 👍

      Probably you are not understanding the meaning: you said "we were expecting first world amenities in a third world country". Our reply was that the hotel offers luxury or 5 star accomodations, this is a fact, no matter the location.
      "First world problems " is just an expression: meaning the problems seen in the hotel are not that bad to leave. Check the meaning of "first world problems" and you will understand better.

      About what? We generate the voice, simply because we don't have the right equipment to record our own voice with good quality.
      As you can see from the video, we take pictures and videos of what we say. Also, you can watch our other videos and you will hear the same voice (apart from the very first review which again, has poor audio quality).

      We really hope you will watch our other videos because then you will understand that we are not negative and never satisfied. Now, the experience we had was absolutely not what we were expecting, and this is a fact. As you can clearly see in the video, we appreciated some gesture like the coconut water, on the balcony dinner and warm bath the last night. Again, these things are clearly mentioned in our video.
      Out of curiosity, have you ever been in this hotel? How was your experience?

      By "so particular" do you mean that we expect exactly what the hotel claims to deliver? The criticism should be taken as a hint to improve. If you are happy with the average, good for you. As a matter of fact, the hotel contacted us multiple times to apologize.
      Anyway, building our own hotel is a good idea, probably it will not happen in the near future, but if and when it will be ready, you should definitely check it out 😀

    To be very honest.. this wasn’t a helpful review. The amount of nitpicking and entitlement in this video is insane. It’s nice to see reviews that show pros and cons but this one seemed like they took pride in ripping the place apart for minuscule reasons.

      Thank you for your comment. The point is the pros were very limited. For each and every cons we provided a picture to prove the point. But as always, this was our experience, maybe bad luck? If you visit this place you might have a very different experience and we really hope you do 😊
      The important thing is to respect everyone's opinion and not make statements based on assumptions.

      Thanks for your comment. If you read the comments you can clearly see that we use AI to generate the voice. Once again, we don't have the equipment yet to properly record our voice. The very first video is a good example 😊
      Your statement "it's not a real people example" doesn't really sounds appropriate: all the content in this video has been recorded by us, and just because we use a voice generator to "read" our review, it doesn't mean it's not real.
