About Ryunohara: Ryunohara is a kominka cafe nestled deep in the mountains of Ryujinmura, Wakayama Prefecture. We make our own tea from wild tea plants, and serve it at Ryunohara Kissa, where you'll also find a small library of books about Japanese culture. We also serve Singaporean Hainanese satay skewers alongside stewed meats, fried rice, and other dishes that showcase ingredients from across the Kishu region. The two buildings on the property are traditionally-built 60 and 120 year-old farmhouses, .

Thanks Roxana! We may be a little delayed where renovations are concerned because there are quite a few septic tank projects going on in the village right now and the carpenter’s really busy too. I hope we can open the guesthouse in April though!

Wish I could have stopped by, just returned from Tokyo/Osaka/Okayama trip, Wakayama was just too far away for the time available. Channels like yours have kept me looking more and more into buying a Kominka and starting a business.

awesome video! love the updates, only recently been following but I'm shocked on how far you can go, I'm guessing you just have excess income that you've saved up, thats great, I hope it works out and I hope the people you hire are good people!!
Have been surviving on savings but it is about to run out so I really hope customers continue to come in droves.
