Machine Guarding Safety Instructions

Machine guards are meant to provide a solid barrier between moving parts and external space where people work.There are different types of machine guards, one type ‘fixed guards’ which is briefed in this video.
Fixed Guards - This type of guard remains fixed in between moving parts and outside space, preventing contact between the moving machinery and any part of the body. Fixed guards offer protection only when properly secured in position. Fixed guards are easy to remove and replace, but only be able to be opened or removed with the assistance of a tool.
