In this episode, we have a conversation with Azmeh Dawood, an award-winning Pakistani poet. In the time honored tradition of great poets throughout the ages, she's had to deal with a lot of personal hardship and tragedy, ranging from an arranged marriage, through a diagnosis of primary progressive multiple sclerosis, to being the older sister of Shahzada Dawood and aunt of Suleman Dawood who tragically died in the Titan submersible incident. We talk about how through humor and wit, poetry can help us precisely in dealing with our hardships, as well as help us understand what's wrong in the world and how it needs to be changed.
