    **UPDATE**
I got into an accident. I was on my way to get the 1k mile service. I was in the right lane & one other car was on the road in the left lane. As I slowly approached to pass we were coming to an intersection & the car decided to make a right turn from the left lane almost hitting me in the process. I locked up my brakes & ended up getting tossed from my bike.
I suffered a fracturs & dislocations in both my left foot & left hand, road rash on my right arm. The day I came home from the hospital it was nice to see @Boring Fisherman comment say "Just don't quit riding"
I'll make another video trying to explain better. Hard to type all this right now. Y'all will hear from me when I'm healed up ✌

Most of the people, I'd assume, that rag on Sportsters don't ride, people who ride share that thing you only get from riding, don't matter what you ride.
I did the BRC at my local H-D dealer and shortly after, the day before Father's Day, I bought a black denim 2022 XL883N just like you, my first bike.
FYI this is the last year for the XL models.
Also a nice thing is that should you "get bored" or want more power, it's real easy to up the 883 to a 1200,1250, or 1275.
I figure I'll do that after I wear out the 883.
Looking forward to seeing your adventures.

I recently did same as you. Safety class, licence and bought a 2021 883 with 2k miles on it. I decided to go with used and take advantage of the modifications the previous owner had already made. Vance and Hices slip on (amazing noise) Saddleman seat, Led lights front and back black out, mirrors under the bar, saddle bag. I put 2k miles on it since July. I love it. Yes i am ready for more power but it already plenty specially in the city. I will probably go for a 1200cc kit in the future. But yes to me it s the best looking bike from Harley. Plenty of compliments.
    Ride safe buddy!

Make sure to adjust the rear suspension. I also turned my plate vertical, flipped the mirrors, and took off the belt guards. Already looks a ton better

My son bought his first bike in 2020, Iron 883. Still loves riding it. We’ve added a lot, including the 1200 kit, Highboy handlebars, vance and Hines slip ons, and Corbin seat, to name a few. I think the 883 is one of the most appealing models on the road. Great choice, and if u upgrade to bigger bike, KEEP the 883. My sons will not leave the family!!!
    Ride safe!!

i got a 2020 883 as my first bike back in feb. and ive loved every second of it. ive been going through some really serious depressing life stuff, and due to that i had stopped riding it for a couple of months. friend tells me to get back on it, and if i dont enjoy it anymore to sell it. i got on it, and instantly, even if just for the ride, all of my stress went away. def dont stop riding. we need more people on 2 wheels. and i swear its theraputic

Hey bro, nice video…been looking at the 883. Believe it or not I wrecked just a couple of months after getting my endorsement. No broken bones, but road rash from hell. Haven’t been back on a motorcycle in over a year, but I’m starting to get the itch and would like to “start over” with an 883. Anyway, hope you’ve healed up and look forward to seeing you back on the road.

Bought my Iron 883 back in late September. I mounted my phone on the handlebar using a Ram phone mount a few days after getting my bike. With that said, I found out a few days later, just from the vibration of these bikes can damage the camera on a phone. I don't know what phone holder you're using but, I thought I would say something.

Only non-Sportster riders bag them out and call them ‘girls bikes’, it’s bullshit!
They pull hard, look cool, STOP and handle brilliantly!
You aren’t ready for a bigger bike and you probably don’t need one!
Only suggestions I can make is put a two into one exhaust on it, a new air intake and a Screamin Eagle Stage 1 tune, oh and forward controls!
Wear a good leather jacket too please and don’t do that Harley shit driving around in a T Shirt!
PS - sorry to hear about your prang, get better and keep riding from Australia!
