They sound just as amazing in their live concerts as they donin their recorded videos

What a perfect setting for such glorious music! Voces 8 is unequalled in precision and beauty of tone, in my opinion.

Jeff, well said! Lets remember that Palestrina, Giovanni Pierluigi da Palestrina (1525-1594) -wrote this over 400 years ago. Try to imagine sitting in a cathedral in winter with no heat, and this incredible sound washes over you. It is amazing to me that this music has come down to us, and has been performed so beautifully. Thank you Voces 8!

My favorite that they do from from this time period is 'Ne Irascaris Domine' & 'Civitas Sancti Tui' by William Byrd. Which is weird, as a chorister I tend to like pieces that I have done or are really familiar with. But this one for some reason just captures my soul and was one of the recordings that told me they were a group to keep an eye on. This Magnificat is one I was somewhat familiar with and they do it beautifully.

I came across Voces8, by accident, a few years ago. Their rendering of Lux Aeterna by Edward Elgar brought me to tears and, since then, I have been an avid listener to their music. There are many performances I might recommend, but I would like to suggest their performance of Samuel Barber's 'Agnus Dei' with the Voktett Hannover from 2022. Whilst they are all incredible musicians, I have to say that the principal soprano Andrea Haines is simply sublime. I hers was the last voice I heard on earth, I think I would die with a smile on my lips.
