this scene is so strange. its beautiful & prestine to an acceptable fault, its grounded yet looney toons-esque, funny yet tense, realistic yet bombastic. I cant tell if this is good or not.
Slow west and the sisters brothers and old Henry are absolutely badass modern western movies. All three took me by storm.
Throw in Christian Bales Hostiles ❤
@@samanthab1923 yeah!! That and Django Unchained.
The dark valley is also pretty good. It’s a Austrian- German co production. Watch it with subtitles.
I can honestly say i wasnt even paying attention to the shootout, i was just looking at how they live in such a beautiful place like good damn 😂
Yeah I was thinking, such a beautiful day. Too bad they have to die.
I love this scene because it is so terrible. The audacity of the whole lot of them to do it... Hahahaha. Love it.
So, on the one hand, we have a guy with a long rifle carefully adjusting windage on his sights so he can shoot a guy standing still mending a fence less than 50 yards? away.... on the other hand, another man materializes from behind a scarecrow in the middle of a crop field unnoticed by the first man, 15 feet away, shoots him in the back and then bullseyes a weather vane on top of a house across from the man at the fence using a revolver with simple open sights. Everyone starts shooting their 6 shot revolvers with loading gates at a near continuous rate of fire without any interruption in the sound to reload for several minutes of sustained fire.
Man takes a .45 bullet to the shin bone, hardly flinches or makes a noise.
Man rushes the house with an empty revolver, waits to round the corner next the wounded man, before reloading his pistol... gets shot in the head by a phantom shooter behind behind the house?
Pine board is apparently bullet proof. Except when it's not.
A dead mans grip on a door knob is greater then the tensile of strength of a dead mans pants.
They could honestly get away with most of it if they stylized it at all but the movie is just a generic Western visually so that's not an option
Not only is it a .45
It's probably a heavy-ass .45 being pushed by 70 grains of powder, shit should have torn his leg off
Looks more like 75-100 yards.
@@Battosai2021 yeah so it's fine if it's dogshit and makes people annoyed
And don't forget they were "hiding" in a little patch of wheat that apparently was only there for the bad guy's cover.
What threw me off since the beginning is the modern tooling marks on the planks of the house..
as badass as all other fight scenes in your typical action movie
"Kill that house."
House : "Hey, you using the wrong words, human in the hat!"
That's a 45/70 that dudes leg and shoulders wouldn't exist
Looks more like one of the 50's....(50-90?) but yeah. AND with THAT sight setting on a tang sight like that... looks like he's set for about 200 yards or more... lol
@@trooperdgb9722 DAMN! You know alot about about guns!!!!!!
@Trooper DGB if its before 1867 its 52. Caliber. Slow west is supposed to take place in 1870. But they are using colt peacemakers that werent released until 73. So the sharps is either 52. Or 50-70.
@@mherrj DANG!!!!! Mike, you know even MORE about guns!!!!!
@@mherrj You can go mad trying to match dates with guns and other gear in movies!!
This movie was really good for it being a real slow western
Um excelente filme !
Good scene.
Me playing Red Dead Redemption 2
There you go
0:56 Yeah, of course. Wheat was not obstructing shooter's view at all.
Beautiful location
No way that guy gets up after getting hit with that big 50
Well..without leaving his shoulder and arm behind at least!
how they were popping up in the wheat field reminded me of a Wes Anderson movie lol
Wait a minute here. Guy with the long gun has a scarecrow off to his right when he shoots the first guy, and scarecrow is between him and the house.
When he shoots the second guy, the scarecrow is behind him!
Lost continuity there!
LOL; continuity person failed badly, eh.
@@jjseandxcefree Either that or this is really a horror movie with a scarecrow that will start killing people or something like that.
This was a good. Movie
اوك
That house is well and truly killed.
Hunt Showdown PTSD… Especially the dude in the fur coat
Alguém sabe o nome desse filme ?
If you go and read the title of this video it will tell you that. Literally the first words of the description. . And a picture of the poster with it on. The information is there old fruit.
Like that grass on fire. And let's see which way the wind is blowin on the attackers
At least this scene looks pretty
Why’d he kill the sniper?
Maybe he wanted the bounty or simply didn’t trust him.’
That guy was not part of his group and was a rival bounty hunter
They could’ve just had the rival hunter kill them and then claim that they are the ones who did it
@@chalkboardgaming3080 movie is bad
@@johngojcevic8731 wdym it's a great fucking movie
Уже много раз смотрю этот фильм.Прекрасный фильм концовка печальная😢
Hard to
Believe this was 8 years ago:
They didn't saw wood that fine in the old west. Notice the New ranch house.
1:36 Owen why are you bad guy.
😂 All the flesh wounds.
??????????????
I watched part 2 and didn't see Fassbender...what happened to him?
He survives. Walks with a limp from then on.
Love all the comments from people that obviously have no actual knowledge of firearms except for what they have read or seen in video.
Becareful Baldwin might be around,
😂😂
Quigley's rifle?
It's a sharps rifle. Not Quigleys
Hilariously close range for that idiot to be using a long gun with the sights adjusted so carefully and incorrectly.
Why is the farm and oil wells on fire?
PUBG THE MOVIE??
Was an OK movie, if not for this end scene.
Someone has seen a Wes Anderson movie
Wow...that sucked.
Weird film
Pena que cortaram os diálogos do capitão com seu filho
Зачем они приседают. А этот в шубе нет.
Hollywood nonsense it takes three times longer to load those rifles then what they showed
Wes Anderson directed this lol
Producer suck at details, you can clearly see different between frame 0:52 and 0:57
Good God, it actually is SLOW.
I liked this movie but felt there was so much missing. How did Jay know where Rose was, there should have been a flashback scene of her writing to him and him finding the home town and then finding the address. There should have been another scen of Pain's gang finding the orphaned children and becoming aware of Silas and Jay. Another scene should have been added of Silas finding Werner, rescuing Jay's stolen belongings and then being told where he was. Another scene of the orphaned children finding their dead parents and a scene of Rose beginning a romance with the Native American boy all should have been added. Also a scene of how the first bounty hunter found Rose and her father's location. It would have brought the running time closer to 2 hours instead of an hour and 20 minutes and would have made the movie so much better. It felt like it just skipped over important details for no reason.
I felt the same exact way when it was over, I wanted more!! Lol. It should've been longer. Felt like they cut out all that stuff you mentioned just to speed up to the big payoff.
Indeed the slowest gun in the west. Why they have to dock after taking one shot?
So they don’t get shot
Hiding while no one's retaliating, good for them Erik didn't use his power
Is the whole movie this ridiculous?
That sharps rifle would amputate that guys limbs.
I have a percussion .45-70 sharps black powder it’s such as badass thing!
Its like PUBG
Yea
I love the part where iPod-founder Eisner Fassbender says something about looneytoons and genderman's rights are saved by wild west gunslingers
What the hell is happening?
*hunt showdown enter the chat*
Not a great movie
1:00 Nobody likes campers.
I hate this ending.
Well this sucked 😂
Worse than awful.
This movie looks shitty lol I’ll stick with Eastwood and Wayne
Agree it looks like Needs more dirt , grime , and rust in it. The scenery is beautiful though.
Same.
@@YOU_GOT_SHOOK you judging it for what it isn’t it is not a fistful of dollars it is essentially a fairy tale in a western with exaggerated characters and ludicrous scenes and it works
@@rupertsmith5815exactly!! Perfect description for it. That was the beauty of this western. It's like it takes all the classic western tropes and cliches and exaggerates them in a romantic, poetic way that feels... Just right. Plus the scenes that are suppose to take place in the wild west were filmed in New Zealand. So it spiced it up a bit and made the scenery in this film look beautiful.
This is one of the worst scenes in a movie ever.
Stupid scene
Thats real low budget right there
What a boring movie
Everyone gets their rocks off seeing a Sharps in action. The Remington Rolling block beat the Sharps at Creeds Moore. History. Read. Duh
SO? Didn't stop folks still using Sharps, right? .... (after all 120,000 were built...) "History. Read. Duh"? LOL
One gun didn’t beat out the other gun. One shooter had a good day edging out another good shooter in a contest. One shouldn’t quibble about a gun he doesn’t own.
@@Diogenes425 i own both
@@chriskidd2137 of course you do.
@@Diogenes425 well, if you were sitting around the table with my friends in my gun vault… oh yeah, you’re not
The bad CGI bullet impacts look fake and break the audience's immersion.
Dam these moviemakers have zero knowledge of firearms wow
