Silly question but what size of note book is good? one that fits in your pocket or one to carry around?

Great question as I debated this a lot!! So I had an A5 to leave in office but that was big enough to write notes when discussing things with my educator or to take to in service training. Then a small pocket sized one to carry on the ward.
As a band 5 I now just use post it note pads

I couldn’t say as I’ve only used the littman. others i’ve tried are really hard to hear without a trained ear.
