- Journal bearing oil restrictor information from personal experience. anywhere between .060 to .080 is acceptable if you do want to run a restrictor but i don't run a restrictor UNLESS it starts smoking under high rpm or at idle. Crazy timing on this video I was running .035 restrictor and cooked seals my gt3582 journal bearing last week opened up restrictor to 1/16th which is .062 should be good after rebuild turbo

I just done my New turbo and engine i notice once my Oil press readys 40psi my turbo came with White smoke too sad
Had a cxracing kit on my s14 had the needle bearing turbo and the restrictor on there was still too big and ended up blowing the bearings put. Got cheap Chinese ebay turbo from a friend with a smaller restrictor with it n did same thing. I was using sandwich plate adapter so I'm thinking the pressure was just too high overall instead of coming off the oil pressure sensor like your doing
I had journal bearing with restrictor and without and had issues with and took many many years of attempts to figure out what I should or shouldn’t do. I learned the expensive way
@@TexasHondaChannel yeah I hate the needle bearing types. Wish I'd had the $ for regular ball bearing and my setup would been alot better but live an learn.
Hey brother, what exactly did you paint/powder coat on the turbo to get that gold to show like that. I like it alot and its perfect compliment for the engine bay
I’m pretty sure the wheel in the turbo comes gold like that if you buy their more expensive version of this gt3582 turbo

@@not_flvcko i can actually assure you i am right lol. I’m about to buy this same turbo. He didn’t paint it. The race version of their universal gt3582 turbo, it comes with the gold fins.

You can mod anything if you get creative 😅 as far as I know the jeep has aftermarket support but idk really don’t do Jeeps yet
What feed line a/n size 4 or 3 did you use with that jegs no restrictor adapter peace
Says on the pack -3an. Also Hunter tuned recommends -3an for feed on journal bearings turbo
