A good good version .

Thank you very much! 😊
How can you draw a perfect circle like that 😮? Great playing and singing.
Thank you. The perfect circle was a matter of both luck and concentration. Suprised myself too.
Strong, clear voice, in tune, and with expression. Well done.
Thank you very much ! Cheers 🥂
Love his voice, such a timeless, haunting song. love as a child, know more than ever.
Thank you for listening and watching, Tammy.
I listened to dozens of English and French versions of this song. In my opinion, this performance is one of the best I have ever listened to, at least among performances in English by a male voice. I have listened to this performance many times and I am ready to listen to it again and again.
So kind of you to say so. It's a wonderful tune to play and sing and I love the chord progression as well as the lyrics. Thank you!
@@MrDarktunes I agree. In the late 90s when the internet was just getting going well, I used a site called AudioGalaxy and compiled two cds full of every different version I could find. I love this song (and am a big fan of Les parapluies de Cherbourg as well!) and your rendition is awesome- I can't think of a version I prefer. Do I detect a tiny bit of Dutch inflexion in your accent?
@@paddyglenny Yes, I'm dutch. I know a lot of dutch people dislike it when someone sings or speaks in english with a slight dutch accent. Do you mind?
I've heard many versions of this and this one and Dusty Springfield's are the only two that I liked
Thank you! I feel flattered 😅
Wow! Awesome voice, well done!
Thank you! Have a great weekend!
I love this song and what a wonderful version of it. ❤❤❤
Thank you very much!
This is a marvelous rendition. I love this song and your voice is fantastic! Thank you for sharing your talent!
Thank you very much! You made my day 😊
Excellent Variation Mr✅✅👍
Thank you very much 🤗
@@MrDarktunes First song I learnt on the Piano😂. Timeless Classic✅
A lot of french chansons have excellent melodies and chord progressions. I was thinking about posting 'if you go away' which is the english version of' Ne me quitte pas ' of Jaques Brel. My french is not too good so I prefer the english versions.
Flawless.......!!!!!!!!!
Thank you! Cheers!
Very very good!
Thank you!
Lovely. Greetings from Ireland. 💚
Thank you
Beautiful
Thank you! Cheers 🍻
I shed a tear ...there are moments in life that this song is all about ...
Thanks for watching. Yes, the lyrics are very strong and beautiful.
Goed gezongen ! En heerlijk basgeluid.
Dank u 🙏🏻
Thank you Mr Noel Harrison, 'just like listening to this over and ove again, and lose myself in reverie. First heard this song in the late 60s by Jack Jones, was in my mid twenties. For some reason it stroke a chord then and still does.x

Great voice, great performance👏
Thank you very much, Jahongir!
My wife listen you sing today And she say what is brilliant version.
Thank you very much!
And wives are always telling the truth. 😄At least my wife does. And even if she doesn't I tell her she does.
Wonderful version!
Such as a version of Noel Harrison.
Thank you very much! Greeting from Ukraina!
Thank you very much! 🇺🇦
ПРЕКРАСНО.
Thank you 😊
One of the best versions I 've heard so far. Nice camera work.
Thank you very much, Johan. Cheers!
Simply superb from Kuala Lumpur, MALAYSIA - ' terbaik'
Thank you very much 🤗
Beautiful! Congratulation, dear :)
Thank you very much 🤗🥂
Very nice.
Thank you Raquel 😊
I love this! Refreshingly different.....thank you!
Thank you so much!
Very very beautifull
Thank you very much!
A great interpretation of a classic 60s tune. More pendulous than most, but that adds to the flavor.
Thank you very much! Cheers 🍻
I think you meant ponderous. But I wouldn't use that term. It was a nice change in tempo. Nice cover !
@@ratandmonkey2982 Thank you. I don't have a soprano voice so I have to do it with this. 😅
I love your deep voice and good performance. Thank you
Thank you for you kind words, Andrew!

Thanks very much! Cheers 🥂
Linda música .
Gracias!
So great! Thank you.
Thank you very much! 🎶🎹🎤
This is a nice variation...for a male. But..my favorite is the Dusty Springfield version. Still...a sincere effort.and presentation...nice camera work.
Thank you for your kind words in the comment. I absolutely agree about the superiority of Dusty Springfield's version. If I was a woman I wish I'd sing like her. Gorgeous!
a nice deep voice
Thank you 😊
Nice
Thank you 🥂 cheers!
И песня красивая и певец ,красивые глаза,но слегка грустные,впрочем,есть надежды выбраться из замкнутого круга 😊
Thank you. 🤗
Despair make the best songs🤔
He's actually as good as Neil Harris who sang it originally. Well done.
Noel Harrison.
@@williamgoode7438 Thanks for catching that. I stand corrected.
Your welcome.
Dusty Springfield recorded this song in 1969
and it's included on her "Dusty In Memphis."
album. In my opinion, hers is the best version
of this son. heck it out.
I like Dusty's version too. Phenomenal!

wonderful cogs tune😁
I still prefer the version, 'could not remember the colour of her eyes'. I definitely prefer this song with a male voice and not over expressed...just like this )

The Windmills Of Your Mind [Michel Legrand, Marilyn and Alan Bergman]
MrDarktone
Round like a circle in a spiral
Like a wheel within a wheel
Never ending on beginning
On an ever-spinning reel
Like a snowball down a mountain
Or a carnival balloon
Like a carousel that's turning
Running rings around the moon
Like a clock whose hands are sweeping
Past the minutes on its face
And the world is like an apple
Whirling silently in space
Like the circles that you find
In the windmills of your mind
Like a tunnel that you follow
To a tunnel of its own
Down a hollow to a cavern
Where the sun has never shone
Like a door that keeps revolving
In a half-forgotten dream
Or the ripples from a pebble
Someone tosses in a stream
Like a clock whose hands are sweeping
Past the minutes on its face
And the world is like an apple
Whirling silently in space
Like the circles that you find
In the windmills of your mind
Keys that jingle in your pocket
Words that jangle in your head
Why did summer go so quickly?
Was it something that I said?
Lovers walk along a shore
And leave their footprints in the sand
Was the sound of distant drumming
Just the fingers of your hand?
Pictures hanging in a hallway
Or the fragment of a song
Half-remembered names and faces
But to whom do they belong?
When you knew that it was over
Were you suddenly aware
That the autumn leaves were turning
To the color of her hair?
Like a circle in a spiral
Like a wheel within a wheel
Never ending or beginning
On an ever-spinning reel
As the images unwind
Like the circles that you find
In the windmills of your mind
@@joaobatistademelloayresneto Thank you for posting the lyrics. I found out, too late, I made some mistakes when singing. 😅
Auch gut
Thank you, Erkan 👍🏻
I can't believe that I haven't known this song till now. And I didn't trust my eyes that you are able to draw a circle so regularly. 🤔Thank you for letting me discover world music. There are so many versions of this song, for example by Alain Delon or Barbara Streisand. My favorite one so far is by Sinne Eeg, a smooth Jazz version: czcams.com/video/67gHlsWiKp0/video.html
And here is my heretical and arrogant opinion, but to be honest, the lyrics of this song in general are even ten times better than the melody. 😲. So thank you for the music, MrDarktunes. It was a pleasure for me as usual. Keep it up. Ute
Thank you so much, Ute.
There are a lot of versions indeed. I do like the Dusty Springfield version because of the 60s feeling and I was also very touched by the Sting-version. Because of the arrangements and electric piano in it.
I myself was also surprised the drawing of the circle went so well 😅
But some will say it's because I'm actually a artist by profession and just a musician for a hobby. Have a wonderful Christmas! Greetings, Diederik
Oh and btw, the Sinne Eeg version is lovely. I've heard it and it is done superb. 😎
Do you play music yourself?
@@MrDarktunes Hi Diederik, I guess you come from the Netherlands. 🇳🇱🤗To your question: I used to play wooden flutes from the age of 7 until the age of 22, in fact piccolo, sopran, alto, tenor and bass flute. After studying and start to work I lost the connection to my instruments and then never played again, such a shame. They are located forgotten in a cabinet and aren't playable any more. But I love music so much...So have a Happy Christmas Eve and a Merry Christmas with all your heart persons. Ute
Which country is known as the 'land of the windmills'? Netherland, of course! and the little Dutch girl.
No coincidence I sing this song 😉 The windmill on the photograph I took at the river Rotte near Rotterdam.
Great cover. Some positively meant feedback I watched it multiple times. In multiple places it could be a little less 'ur' like in (curkel, wurld, wurds) and a little less nasal. A small breathing issue at "leaving foot prints in the sand". You do not follow the Noel Harrison text exactly which can be a choice but it feels a bit like worn-in glitches. Well done overall, I cannot get that quality.
I started to listen to your covers from that song (thank you Al🙂..you are better and better to send me what I prefer) and was listening to all your covers you posted on your youtube profile..
you have very interesting voice..it takes attention...
the other your cover I love is Tom Waits "time"
it sounds "dark great" really.. (however "broken bicycles" is my the most favorite of Tom Waits songs.. )
czcams.com/video/0YroQxUyg6k/video.html
the other things I like it is your story about bonita.. I believe music and love...improve all living beings life...and your descriptions of the interesting history of the songs you covered....
I listened to you with a great pleasure..and subscribed your channel..hoping for your others songs you like to sing...greetings!
Thank you so much Barbara! Only since the covid pandemic I started playing the piano and sing. I used to play just the bass before and never managed to both sing and play bass. I record songs I like and that match my voice in a way. Tom Waits is hard to cover or maybe I should say 'copy' because there are great covers of his song by other people. I should try another one soon.
Thanks for watching and listening.
@@MrDarktunes right it is very hard to "copy" any singers..but in my opinion the most interesting covers are these ones which show the own idea how you feel and perform them..looking forward for your new versions...have a nice day🙂

Chk out Sting's version
To be honest. The Sting version is my favorite version. 😎
Best version is by Jose Feliciano
I guess spanish windmills are different from Dutch windmills, but nevertheless a wonderful version. 👍🏻
Beautiful
